Jason looked the papers over then turned to Sykn, "Is there a empty office anywhere?"

Sykn nodded her head and waved in the general direction of all the office doors. "Loads, just pick one. If there's a name on the door then that means it's taken. Of course...most of them are..." She sighed as she leaned back in the chair.

"Alright Yori, just pick an office," Jason said then turned back to Alex, "I got a meeting, and you better be home afterwards."

"I think I might need to take some Midol or something. This head ache is a killer. Stupid bounty hunter..." She thought with a sigh as she watched Jason get ready to leave, instructing Alex to be home as soon as possible. How sad, the boy was obviously old enough to live on his own and not go home to visit daddy.

Jason walked out of the department and left for his meeting with another council member.

"Well..." Sykn began to say as she stood up from her chair and stretched out her arms. She waited for Jason to leave the building before she finished her sentence. "Glad that's not my father! He'd drive me nuts. I feel sorry for catching you now Alex." She said with a sigh as she let her arms hall to her side.

Alex looked at Sykn "I respect him, we're all each other got," getting a flash back of the attack, "...we..." He started but had to sit down for a bit.

Sykn seemed slightly puzzled but she let her arms fall to her side. He only had one parent, which meant something had happened. f course, Sykn had no idea what to say. She had both her parents. They had lived a mostly normal life really.

Sykn shook her head slowly. Sure, she had been spoiled as a kid and her parents didn't talk to her much anymore, but known of them had died. They just ignored her completely. Still, that was a lot different then actually losing them. "No...I'm sorry..." She said, looking down at the ground.

Alex stood all the way up, "I have," he told her walking a bit towards the exit and turned, "that's why I respect him we can't lose each other."

Sykn perked her head up as she watched him head for the exit. She felt bad for what she had said earlier. "I'm sorry, I know I would hate to lose my brother...and my parents. Even if they ignore me half the time." She said with a sigh. She'd never really spoken to anyone about her family, or their's it was really a bit odd.

Sykn shrugged her shoulder, if she knew the answer to that it'd be much easier for her to get though to them. "Well...I guess it's because my brothers a real star...where as I'm just a simple detective...Though, I really have no idea why they don't talk to me." She said with a sigh as she sat down in one of the chairs. Her head ache was getting worse.
