winged_sakura_san ... I started reading the names of the english voice actors, as it was a really lame day. Then I proceeded to watch another shoujo called "princess tutu" and i watched that until the credits rolled. They used like half of the same voice actors!! I was sitting there saying, "holy crap!! himeno is ahiru!! and sasame is fakir!! HA HA!! rofl " and I had a bit of a giggle fest. adv totally recycled their voice actors... -mokona all anime voice actors get recycled. it was a bit funny to watch Xmen: evolution (not an anime, i know) and hear Inuyasha as Quicksilver, Sango as Scarlet Witch, and last - but not least - Kagome as Amanda- Nightcrawler's girlfriend. of course, there is always Hamtaro which 'kagome' and 'shippo' did together. but what really freaked me out is siting at the pc one day as my lil sister watched 'barbie: the princess and the pauper' and low and behold- SANGO was 'Erica' eek

ShiaKitty Hopefully it won't get picked up by ADV or anyone else anytime too soon. Fansubbers will stop working on it once the series has been licensed and I have no doubts that it will be. After that, there will be little choice but to wait for the licensed version to come out. Right now we're nearing the end of season one. If it were licensed now, it would be about two years before season two would be available on DVD and we could continue watching the show. From what I've heard, three seasons have been planned, but things can always change. razz Hahaha, don't worry, anime like Tsubasa Chronicle won't be coming to U.S for a tad while--ADV usually gets the completed anime series and works with 'em--because doing voice overs for anime takes quite a while to do sweatdrop

Or if the people who did .hack get it, (i forget who that was) that'd be great, because in that case it may wind up on adult swim!! this is best-case scenario, as i watch it all the time. Jigoku_Angel well.. i got some dvds from hongkong from a hong kong subber, i guess. anyways! as i was watching my DVDs the other day (haha!) I noticed something in ep 4 when Sakura tries on all those clothes: Its her middle school uniform from the end of CCS! xd  by the by, i figured out how to take screen shots from windows media - finally! rolleyes Wow! eek Nice one, sakura-chan! 3nodding

aparent misconception:
CARTOON NETWORK DOES NOT DUB ANIME.
at the most, they edit the anime already dubbed. (why is my left shift key broken?)
Anyways, their editing has been decent, the last terrible examples I can think of are from outlaw Star, and that aired ages ago. Then again, I haven't watched CN in a long long while, so... um... right. I admit, I stopped watching because i don't like most dubs. (they mangled Inu yasha and then I gave up; miroku should NOT sound like a stoner, nor should Kagome sound even whinier than she does in the sub, which is pretty damn whiny.)

I can't wait to see 23 because they say it rocked!!! xd Must... see... anime...! scream Um, I hate to dissapoint, but episode 23... sweatdrop Well... Manga spoilers ahoy, highlight. They did the deaths TERRIBLY. I mean, Fai got some funfun well-written time before his death, and his little fight with Seishirou was pretty cool, but the last shot we see of him is just his legs dangling with Mokona screeching. It's pretty bad. As for Syaoran/Sakura, they end as pixellated technicolor floating heads. I seriously started laughing. sweatdrop It looks like episode 24 is going to kick a** though, so I'm satisfied.

Really? Oh god... I loved how CLAMP drew the part when, in the manga, *spoiler* Syaoran died, because the effect of the sword and how he disappeared was really neat, although sad. The good thing is that they weren't dead at all. And now that you're telling me how that happened in the anime... I sense it's going to be disappointing eek crying How I wish this anime was made by Bones studio, Kodansha or Mad House...

I don't think AD would try to pick up TRC. its just a little too shoujo for them. ...I'll agree a little on the FMA portion of your statement but I won't agree that Naruto was done "very nicely" stare all the blood was cut off--well, they left like what, .005% of it in there...but still...~_~ Naruto with rarely any bloodshed is like--where's the common sense?! Kids are going to start thinking that if they stab themselves with something like a shuriken that it won't bleed as much! ( Okay, maybe not all kids would but still...it will influence them a great deal.) And what's with the pronounciations of the names?! It sounds like they say "Neruto" instead of "Na-ru-to" <-to sounding like "toe" just, soft on the "e"> and they cut out one of the most favorite scenes in Naruto! The scene where Naruto and Sasuke end up kissing each other was cut out and the kissy sound was still there! gonk As for ADV, they did Azumanga Daioh, Angelic Layer, Pretear, and DiGi Charat and other cutsie Anime series! So there is a chance they'll get TRC as well! xp

So there is a chance they'll get TRC as well! xp don't you stick your smiley-tounge at me, that's rude. sad most of the time the CHARACTERS in the dub say his name correctly, its the dumb announcers that do it wrong. (just like 95% of the fans at AniZona who only read the manga. its like when people say "Ch-aw-bits" instead of "Ch-oh-bits"*shudders*) once again -cartoon network - lots of little kids watch that channel but they have gotten more leniant (kant speel 9_6) on what they allow. case and point: the redubbed DBZ eps. When DBZ first came on they weren't allowed to show face hits so these silly 'action' zigzag bubbles covered the faces. and the kissing part - well, what can i say. at least they didn't try to cover it by saying it was something else. sweatdrop

I watched eps 22 and 23 yesterday. And I didn't think they were that bad as I was told before in this thread sweatdrop The greatest design things that happened were: They respected Kuro's eyes! They didn't have shine at all, as in the manga! eek That surprised me and I liked it very much. This other one concerns eyes too. Didn't you like when Mokona tells Syaoran that probably Seishirou took Sakura? xd Syaoran eyes had never been so expressive and so manga-surpriseness-like before!!! That was a very nice surprise for me 3nodding I give an applause to Bee Train for that biggrin
Although... I did like more how Syaoran disappeared in the manga, like smoke, instead of pixels.

I admit, they did a good job with Kuro and Syaoran's eyes, but in exchange Fai doesn't have nearly the range of expression and the deaths were just terrible.
But that's not why I'm posting. I'm posting cause I just finally got episode 24, and I wanted everyone to know that it kicks even more a** than I was expecting it to. I forget who the reabid Kurogane fans int his guild are, but they will love it. And holy crap, does he look good this episode. Hell hath no wrath like Kurogane scorned... great fight scenes, great plot, and a really cool eyecatch screen of Kuro-mu.
...just... watch it. Somehow. All of you. whee
....And just another side note, Mokona's "O_O! FAI, YOU'RE ALIVE!" is the most precious thing ever. He really IS best friends with a puffball. I don't know whether to feel touched or frightened. (Fai's actually wearing his overcoat- how rare.)
Last note! Episode 25 is going to be good too, judging by the preview.
