"Thanks for caring, but I think I"m tougher then y'all give me credit for." Ben said still with his smile. "Don't let this white hair fool y'all; it's dyed. You know that Shaon."Why is she still trying to hide from me? Ben's smile slightly disappeared.

she shook her head slightly. "Age doesn;t matter. Drus is a whiz with machines." her eyes met his and she only thought that he smiled too much. he was way too happy all the time. he was hiding something. he probably thought she was going to win and trick her. but she wasn;t easily fooled by false sentiments or hollow promises.

Ben sighed, “Why are all the women in this city so serious? I guess they've been hurt so many times, they can’t tell the difference between a friend or a foe.” Ben’s smile was almost completely gone. I hope my daughters aren’t like this. He thought as he wiped his blood with a rag from his pocket.

((kk ^-^ ) "what, you expect soemone like me to be all flowers and rainbows." she wscowled slightly. "hardly. In this place you can;t afford to mess around. People die here all the time." the difference between friend or foe? she knew the difference. Drus was her friend, everyone else was a foe. Altair, Yori, everyone. Just because she was aroudn them didn;t mean she trusted them. She had long used up all the trust in her system. She even faltered soemtimes with Drus, and felt terrible for it.

"I expect you to be stronger then giving up on everybody around you!" His fatherly voice at full force. He knew she wasn't his daughter, but his heart was still broken by her words; he couldn't help but see his daughters in her. he stormed past them, a little annoyed, but mostly sad.

"I really don't care what you expect." she said icily, unphased by the tone of his voice or the way in which he said it. things like that ceased to bother her, though she didn;t knwo exactly when she started to not care.

Drus watched him leave sensing his sadness. She had asked about the detective becaius it had just poped into her head. He seemed to do that alot. She shugged everything off and contiued on thier way to her home. She could probobly send the rest of the cluster of cameras his way. "Friends are hard to come by in this area and thoughs we get quickly become closer than family. He will soon learn that." She said puting her whrnch away.

Shaon nodded to Drus. "it's not as easy as he says it is, anyway," she muttered.

Shaon heard it and jumped back, her cold eyes weaving up to see a form claoked in purple. purple was the color of royalty...and the color of righteousness. she took note of it as she stepped back. she wasn;t a fighter.

Shaon hissed and cried out as the blade's fine tip slit her side. she put ehr hand to it. blood trailing between ehr fingers. the sword hasn;t gone too deep, but it still hurt. she whipped her foot around she evaded the majority of the blow, hooking his leg and trying to pull him down.
