Izusa was of a mind to leave; she had eaten her fill for the day and was beginning to crave her solitude once again. But she had questioned him, and a part of her still had an interest in her ethereal hunting companion. Besides, there was a devilish part of her that wanted to ask an altogether different question about that which his body was capable of. In some ways, she silently mused before speaking again, sanity was a greater pain then insanity.

'I was the first..and I have no family that I remember. That should answer that question.' she disliked speaking of her past. It had been a lonely time and it always revealed her weaknesses. Her wing spikes rattled a little irritably as Taraxippus moved closer; it had not gone un-noticed, what was this young one trying to do?
'You hunt well..' she admitted grudgingly.
She fell silent and clipped a few steps from him, moving from the carcass that had started to attract flies.
'Tell me..' her next words came casually, carelessly.
'Can you make every part of yourself tangible?'

Taraxippus stayed his advance as he sensed the suspicious and potentially aggressive mindset of the kalona peak its head in her again. They had a successful hunt, and the air around her at first was sending Tara signals not to press his luck. She wanted to deal with him on her own terms, that was clear in her body language. And despite the controlling desires in the young stallion, he found her independence an attractive characteristic. She was a challenge. As much as he wanted her to feel that she needed him or look up to him, it would not be an easy result to achieve.

He did not press her on her history. It was irrelevant for the matter at hand. Though he did make a mental note of her reluctance to discuss the matters. Perhaps it was something that could be explored... at a later date... to extricate a weakness that might assist him in the long run. But Taraxippus was clever enough to know when to not press the mare.

He did smile at her compliment, gleaming red eyes fixed on her. His father had succeeded in training him well in how to hunt, even if they did not always see eye to eye on other matters.

The smile turned more devious at her follow up question and his tail lashed behind him. "Tangible enough to be of use..." He responded coyly, following her innuendo. His father had bred true, and he was at least as intangible as Taraxippus - lacking his solid horn. And what better way to insure a lasting connection to the mare than to have her bear him foals... and what fascinating offspring would they be!

"Tell me, Izusa. Just how is it that I can be of... assistance...?"

Old enough to catch the meaning within her words then.. If anything did happen - she hadn't wanted to feel like an old woman taking advantage of a whelp not long into adulthood.
But; he'd handled himself well enough during the hunt and had never seem afraid of her. He was definately old enough if she felt in 'that' mood.

'So bold and assuming aren't we?' Izusa replied in an arch fashion. She was slowly widening the gap between them, drifting away from the stallion and from the site of the kill, and then she walked off, stopping a few paces from him and turning to look at him.
'You may follow if you wish.'

Tara raised his own eyebrow in response. "Much of me can be of use, Izusa." He smirked, fully cognizant that they were both aware of the allusions, but preferring to remain vague. "Take my response as you will."

Taraxippus didn't pursue her immediately. This was a critical moment and he needed to be careful here. She had made a pass - partially a test, perhaps. And if he were too enthusiastic, then he would seem desperate and that would put him in her power. If he were too passive or nonchalant, then Izusa was obviously strong enough not to need him, and at worse, it might come across as insulting.

He took a few steps after her after she had began to walk away, making sure to wait a few moment, looking around as if considering. It seemed that straying from his foal grounds had indeed proved interesting.

He paced himself so that after a minute or so he was walking by her side instead of following subserviently behind. His hooffals, like always, were muffled to near silence as the shadowy stallion walked. No conversation was necessary.

Izusa's mouth curved into a smile, fangs peeping out as she realised that Taraxippus had hesitated before following her. She let a little swagger enter her walk, her hips swaying a little, tail flickering on the ground behind her as she went.

When he caught up to her, she gave him a sidelong glance as the walked, just enjoying the sight of him beside her. She wasnt sure if she would call it gladness or relief that she'd not attacked this strange stallion on sight but she felt a little surge of a pleasurable feeling that she hadnt, and their encounter had led in a most interesting direction.

As Izusa finally approached the thicket of trees and bushes that she called 'home'; an almost impenetrable clump of leaves, branches and thorns, she flicked a wing out and touched him with it, her pale eyes catching his before she pushed her way in to the verdant depths.

Taraxippus shared a similar pleased emotion that this exotic Kalona mare had not decided to attack. Although, in his mind, his actions were a bit more to credit than necessarily finding her at a charitable moment, or the mere intrigue of his physique.

The abode was intriguing, a cluster of brambly foliage that would be more than enough to discourage a casual passer-by. He wouldn't have guessed from the appearance that this was some creature's home, so it was well protected on two fronts. He gave an approving nod with a smile, but as her wing brushed against him he lifted his eyes and held hers, for a moment lost in trying to discern just precisely what her intentions were. She had given him some mixed signals, but the fact that she had led him here - to her home - and obviously one that she had taken some care to conceal... it must have been a big step for her to trust him so.

"Your home is expertly concealed, Izusa, and the construction must be adept at keeping unwanteds out." He smiled, what he hoped was a confident smile, and then waited for her to slip inside, following after her in the small gap that she had created. Once more, he thanked his shadowy body in that it made slipping his form through the crevice much easier that it might be for another unicorn his size. And following her in, he looked curiously about to see what the inside might look like.

Izusa had another bolt-hole, in a far more inaccessible place which only those possessing wings could even reach. She wasn't showing much of a hand by bringing Taraxippus here, but enough so that they could have privacy when it mattered most.

'Good for ambushes as well, but yes, I guard my privacy well, and the raking thorns and branches have never bothered me as they seem to most other soft and weak Soquili. It suits my purposes.'

The inside was all gloom, the floor underhoof thickly carpeted in a mossy substance, what light that penetrated the upper branches got so filtered by the foliage that the space within the 'cocoon' of plantlife was lit with a greenish tinge. It would take a while for eyes to adjust to the change of light but there was enough to see, and to be seen.
'So here we are..' Izusa caught his eyes, her wings relaxing, unfurling a little as she approached him with a lazy tilt to her head.
'Time to..relax..' she whispered, her words being shaped by her mouth as one of her wings swept forwards and brushed him once more.

"I can imagine." Taraxippus commented as he surveyed her residence after her comment about it being a good location for Ambush. It was a blind against most wildlife. They'd probably never even know that the demoness was there until it was too late. Her metallic hide - obviously unscathed by the thick brambles - could protect her as she burst out to snatch an unwary passerbyer.

He smiled. He liked the way her mind worked.

He pushed the strategic merits of her hideaway to the back of his mind as he regarded the kalona mare again. She was opening herself up - relaxing. Seemingly genuinely. His eyes were drawn to the movements of her mouth as she deliberately pronounced the words. "Here we are, indeed." He whispered throatily, holding his ground and intentionally slackening his posture.

Despite the fluid nature of the shadows that comprised Taraxippus, mentally he was generally focused and rigidly calculating. Unfortunately, while those qualities were often merits in many situations, seduction was not one of them.

But damned if he wasn't going to try. He slowly moved his head to nuzzle one of her wings, eyes intense.

How..sweet. Izusa almost laughed, but figured that would break the mood. He was attempting his own overtures. Unfortunately her previous encounter of note had been with Guilian, and whilst the mere thought left a foul taste in the Kalona's mouth, he had been skilled in certain ways. Izusa was a quick study and allowed Taraxippus to cast his affections on her wing.

She curled the wing around the side of his head, sweeping her own head close to his, her breath hot against him. If she found him tangible enough once she'd drawn in right against him, then she would be able to 'taste' his own flesh; well without drawing blood - unless he asked of course!

Her breath and heart quickened with their proximity and the anticipation of what was to come. And what she wanted to come.

For all of Taraxippus's expertise in the areas of manipulation and hunting, his inexperience in more sensual manners were much less natural for the stallion. While he was not without certain... instincts... his questionable heritage seemed to only dull those. But Taraxippus wanted this. Part of him told him he needed this, to prove himself strong. To prove himself worthy. And that desire, that drive was an ample substitute for more earthly desires. It gave him passion.

As she brushed against him, drew him close to her mouth, Izusa did find that he had a substance to him. It was odd, and certainly different than any other she had likely encountered before. It was like smoke at first - barely tangible, but as she pressed it consolidated under her touch. It was soft, yielding - almost like the memory of a touch. Perhaps he could exert some control over it. Did he become more solid as they drew closer to one another? Or was it just the prolongued contact? But one thing was certain - they were drawing closer. His breath became audible, and even the smoky shadows of his body exuded a certain heat..

As Taraxippus seemed to become more than very invitingly shaped smoke under Izusa's touches, her carresses became more ardent, her tail moving as she did, at point it slithered up and around one of the stallions rear legs, the tendrils tightening around him for a moment before relaxing the hold again.

She steered him towards the moment, allowing herself to be as soft, pliant as possible and biddable; here, and only here in this fortress of thorn and branch she would relax long enough for them to join.

For the first time in Taraxippus's life... he stopped thinking. He just acted. He went with the small voice of instinct that had almost always been subdued in the back of the stallion's mind. Everything seemed right: the cloistered thorny home of a demoness, and of course the demoness herself - who seemed to be made of supple metal. Hot, supple metal.

It was intimate, it was fervent. And everything just seemed right. It was no longer the time for words or posturing. It was the time to merely act.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Izusa opened an eye, stirring lazily from where she had lain after their..exertions. She opened the other, fanning her sides a little with her wings before casting a look at the stallion. Who was still here. Her tendrils swished dangerously, her guard and defences back up as she fixed him with a steady look.

'You'll be wanting to make your way to your herd now I'm sure' she said, her tone suggesting that it was more directive than a question. After all, she couldn't imagine what further use the stallion could be to her, she was satisfied in more then one way and definately craved her own company once again.

It was some time later when Taraxippus finally opened his amber eyes. His head was clearer, although he still felt wonderful. The Kalona mare seemed to be shining even more than her metallic hide was when they first arrived. However, his appreciation was short lived.

She woke shortly after he, and then suddenly all premises of hospitality were gone. She was a wall again, cold and unyielding. He words and body language put it plainly that he was to leave, and there was to be no discussion. Taraxippus snorted, but could sense the drastic change in the mare's demeanor. This is not how he had hoped to end their encounter. In his mind, she would be a very different mare after coupling. That he would have impressed her enough to form some sort of alliance. It seemed that that would not be the outcome... at least... not today. He still needed to be careful with his phrasing, if that were to be the case.

Taraxippus got back to his feet and bowed his head. "Indeed... I have business that demands my attention elsewhere." He didn't want to admit to having a herd. "But I shall remember you, Izusa. And perhaps, we shall meet again." He gave her a confident smile as he began to back out of the brambly fortress.

At least this stallion could take a hint; that got him points if nothing else had. If Izusa did see him again, the meeting certainly wouldn't go unwanted, and she could see herself doing that again with him for the mere fact that he had allowed her to be as she had always wanted to be; able to experience passion without being overwhelmed by it as she had in her more youthful times.

'If your path takes you this way another time, I am sure we can once again find mutual amusements.' her voice followed him as he left her thorny hideaway, and she reclined once more, to doze with half lidded eyes.
