Chapter 4
[ Gerard's POV ]
I was out at last, ready to walk into MTV's studio, and get it over with. At this rate it would be over within a few minutes. I could just go in and give them the answers and be out. Or at least that was what I was hoping.
"You do know it's live?"
Mikey had caught up with me, and was now walking along side me with his arm over my shoulder, as I continued to glare down at the floor in front of me. I didn't need the attention, and I know he was only trying to comfort me, but now just wasn't the time, and the fact that he'd just told me what I was dreading to hear, made me want to just snap and yell at him. But it wasn't his fault, and I was strong enough to hold myself back. I simple turned to face him for a split second and then returned my focus to the floor, watching as the gravel gave way under my feet.
"Look we're gonna be fine. Nothing's gonna happen."
"What... you mean like last time?"
Last time it had been a full blown catastrophe with my ex, and Mikey had told me the exact same thing. I'd just done the stupid thing and believed him. He meant no harm.... which made him even more dangerous than people would expect. I didn't mean that in an offensive way, but things that Mikey said, they just always seemed to go the opposite way.
"Yes like last time.."
Mikey grinned and punched me in the side lightly, before looking up to me grinning cheerfully. I couldn't let him get away with that. Even if he was doing a pretty good job of cheering me up. With a slight smile I returned the grin before tackling him to the ground and tickling him behind the knees. It was a game we would always play back at home, and it stuck. It kept us out of trouble, because we weren't actually trying to hurt each other, but it worked a treat on Mikey, mainly because he was so ticklish.
Soon enough we were torn apart by a rather bewildered Frank and Ray, with Bob standing to the side in hysterics. He must have been the only one who knew what was going on other than us, because as he saw our faces he just went even more into a hysteric state.
"What the hell d'ya think you're playing at!"
Mikey and I just looked at each other and began to laugh even harder. Frank's face was a right picture, and the whole ordeal was just making me feel even less stressed than before. The poor guy had no idea what was going on, and now Mikey and I where covered in dust from the gravel we'd be rolling in. We simply exchanged smiled and stood up, brushing ourselves down and walking back over to each other, with Ray on stand by, ready to leap in if we went at each other again.
[ Frank's POV ]
Those two puzzle me... at the best of times. I was just walking along from behind, then Mikey hit Gerard and Gerard just tackled him! I didn't know what had just happened, as I called after Ray and we split the two up, whilst Bob just stood there laughing... I wish they'd tell me what's going on. I know Gerard hasn't been himself, but that was just nuts. MTV are gonna be wondering why they are now covered in dust and scratches. This should be good.

Chapter 5
[ Gerard's POV ]
I was feeling a lot better after that, even if I had made Frank the little bit more worried about me. I grinned at Mikey once more before we all made our way into the studio's. I could tell Mikey was stills slightly worried about me, because even though he was smiling, he still gave me the occasional glance to check I was still okay. I just had to keep smiling. I was fine, he needed to just let it go for now.
I sighed and turned round to look at Bob, who was clearly not over the whole incident before. He kept looking over to the two of us and laughing slightly under his breath, and when I returned the glance he simply shook his head and put his fist to his mouth, trying not to laugh to hard. Bob always knew when me and Mikey where joking about, and I have to say it does take skill. Sometimes we don't even know, if we get too carried away. The laughing was contagious, soon enough Ray had joined in, soon followed by myself and Mikey, whilst poor Frank walked along completely oblivious to what was going on, which made us laugh even more.
Soon enough we where stopped by one of the staff in MTV studio's, who walked up to us with a grin slapped across her face. She had a pen and paper in her hand, and she was obviously a fan. I took this chance to ask for directions, and after letting her take a picture on her phone, we made our way to the TV studio, where we where given our ques. Soon enough we where up getting recorded. You could guess what the first question was.
"So guys! How was the scuff outside?" The woman asked us, looking up and down me and Mikey, who where sitting there covered in dust .
Frank glared at her and then looked onto Mikey, "Yeah, good question. I was wondering myself?"
Mikey and I just looked at each other and started laughing, before I manged to muster a reply. I could see this was going to be a lot easier than I had last expected.
[ Ray's POV ]
The interview was going brilliantly until they brought up the question about Gerard's ex again. You could see the sparkle suddenly dull and vanish from his eyes, as he sat back into the chair, folding his arms over his front in a slightly defensive position. I could tell this wasn't going to end well. I knew him far to well. This was almost definitely the best time to leave.
"We have to get going now or we won't make it to the show later. Is it okay if we just...."
"No... no I'm sure Gerard can just answer this one question for us."
Gerard sunk father into his chair before turning his face away from the camera. I could see he was trying to hold himself down, and he was doing a pretty good job of it.
"Well Gerard?"
"Look, we need to get going now." I told her once more, standing up, shortly followed by Mikey and Frank. Bob remained seated by Gerard's side, ready to grab him if he did snap, whilst I kept my eyes on Frank. I knew all too well he could get pretty violent.
I could see the producer behind the camera starting to glare at us, going red in the face as Gerard slunk deeper and deeper into his chair. We had to leave now, we didn't need another repeat of last time.
"Mr Way, could you please answer the question?"
That was it, something clicked in the back of Gerard's head, and he was ready to pounce. He lunged at the woman, Bob grabbing him at the last minute, whilst he struggled to break free from his grasp. Mikey new the drill and stepped in front of him, whilst Frank walked out of the camera's view and told them to just turn off. We knew they wouldn't be cooperative, but we also knew that was Frank's specialty.
Soon enough we managed to bring Gerard out of the studio's, Frank running after us once we'd reached the cap park. We had to go now. They probably already had photo's which could damage us enough as it was, but I have to give it to him. Gerard really did a good job this time. It was just a shame they wouldn't let things like this go.
The media where like vultures, picking at this kind of thing until the person they where circling was nothing more than a nervous wreck. It was just a shame it was Gerard.
