Lariene looked around they're were only half a dozen of the creatures left. She ran towards them using her sword every chance she got. She was happy to see several others joining her in this fight. She stepped back again a wall of one of the buildings watching them fight. She wanted to see how good they were in battle. Soon all the creatures were gone and they're blood spattered bodies littered the ground. She raised her sword into the air and smiled, cheering vicoriously. They had defeated the small band of creatures but she knew that this was only the begining. As she glanced around, she wondered what they would do with the creatures bodies. Maybe it was best to leave them there so that the town people would know what creatures attacked Barton. She looked towards the gate. She could hear nothing. She stared at the groups of people, some were covered in blood others were wounded. "We will rest for a bit of time and then head out the gate."-

Russ was dazed for a while. Once again he is in a battlefield, but his body does not seem to respond the way it used to. He is lucky Jamie, though unknowingly, is protecting him from all comers.

He smiles.

With a howl, he jumps into the fray. With him, the experience of a 34 year old veteran. He starts off by grabbing the head of a critter stunned by the primal scream. He swings it to another critter behind Jamie, sending it flying to a nearby building. He then slams the critter's head to the ground in the follow through. Being sure of the critter's demise, he searches the grounds for more comers. His golden eyes shining under the light of the moon.

That was pretty much it though. He acted a little to late. He starts laughing silently at the awkward situation he got himself into again.

Leader decides they rest for the night. But he knows he wont be able to sleep for a while. He knows the excitement will still be lingering through the night.

I looked around... They were gone... I muttered something under my breath... Then I walked over to everyone else...

Jamie walked upto the woman who lead them to this battle and politely asked "May i sit next to you?"

Keifie stood and watched the others fight as he thought on the words of this 'leader'. He was irritated by her misconception of cowardice, and was ready and willing to leave this place at the slightest notice. 'I care nothing for these countries, I was neither born here, nor do I live here. What they do is no concern of mine.' He thought to himself, getting more irritated by the second. This was now his third opportunity to leave, and yet something was compelling him to stay... 'You are not so heartless; you care...' a voice echoed in his head. He shut his eyes and tried to block it out, but it continued, 'Your village was destroyed because nobody cared, will you truly let what happened to you happen to someone else?' 'It doesn't matter. There will always be raids, lives will always be taken, I cannot stop it all!' He retorted to this intrusive voice. 'But you can help...' it said simply, as it faded.
"Rrr, FINE!" He shouted as his Shoge went flying into the forhead of one of the remaining creatures. He yanked the chain and pulled his weapon back to him, wiping it off with a cloth he had brought, and returning it to its holster. When the group had finished and began sitting around he aproached the girl who had brought them here and stated in a cold, resentful voice, "Get one thing straight, I could care less if either of these countries were wiped off the face of the earth! I am here for the thrill of fighting and that alone. With that said, I will join this party of yours, under the condition that, if I ever feel that this is a waste of my time, I will leave without question. If you call me a coward for not fighting for strangers, so be it, but those are my terms."

in the morning, refreshed and renewed, chris pondered in his mind: should i... but i just got back. after moment, chris decided that this was the perfect oppertunity to test out his training, to prove his worth. after eating a nourishing breakfast, he quickly explained to his parents that he would be gone for a while and quite possibly wouldn't return. he knew this wasn't what he anticipated, but after a few hugs and sobs, he went out the door, searching for the leader of the demon hunters.

I looked around... I walked away from everyone else and down an alleyway. I heard soemthing behind me. I turned slowly. "So is this your doing again?" I asked.

A vaguely human-like figure moved in the shadows. "No I cannot take credit for this." A voice whispered. "Although I really wish I had thought of it first."

"I'm sure you do." I said. "That sounds just like you."

"Well I'm off to go cause more problems for you." The voice said.

"You do that."
