"Huh?" Sarah looked up, a bit frightened. She ended up blushing but took his hand. "Um, yeah, thank you." She said quietly. 'You fool! Ugg, why do I have to be such a fool?!' Sarah thought, standing back up and brushing herself off of dirt and twigs and things. She hoped there wasn't any bugs in her dress now. Sarah glanced up at the one who had helped her. She was a bit startled by the blind fold around his eyes, but she never put it past anyone to not be able to see even if they had one on. Though then she noticed the spirits, 'Ah, that makes sense...in wonder what it would be like to poke them...' Sarah decided not to try it. She didn't want anybody mad at her for doing something stupid. 'Well, introduce yourself! Say hi! Something!' "Hi. Um, i'm um, Sarah." Sarah said, nodding her head down a bit in a gesture of a small bow.

"Sara huh? It sounds familure, but never mind that." Varnis said as he brought back his hand. "My name is Varnis." He said with a slight bow. "What would an elf be doing here by herself?"

"Oh, I live here." Sarah said, forcing herself to not mumble "um"'s and "ahh"'s every now and again. 'You goof. You just told a complete stranger that you live here. He could kill you. Ug, stop it. I'll die from drowning if anything.' A small, sad smile graced Sarah's lips for but a moment, but then it was gone.

Senra turned and began running through the forest, back to where she'd left Sarah. I hope she got a chance to loosen up a little. She seems so shy.... Finally reaching the spot she'd left the two, only Faile was there to greet her. "Huh." she said aloud, hands on her hips. "Odd. Oh well." bending down, she let Faile crawl onto her arm, then to her shoulder. The bird seemed tired, and Senra had to supress a yawn. "Maybe we should camp here for the night." Shrugging, Faile took to the air, flying far enough to land on a nearby branch. Leaning against the stump, she got comfortable and leaned back, her arms behind her head. "It's a nice location."

"Is there something wrong?" He asked kindly as he noticed how she smiled, then went back to normal. Looking up some, even though he couldn't see, he still saw her face as the spirit was still looking at her. "If it is bothering you that I am here, I could leave." He said as he looked at her again.

Robin had given Lark her lunch, raspberries and plums, because it pained her to kill animals and Lark hadn't quite learned to hunt for her own food yet, she was feeding Lark fruits and such. "I wonder....." she murmured, what? A sudden though penetrated her mind, Robin sat up, "who was that?" Me. Robin blinked, looking around, there wasn't anyone else there besides Lark and herself, "Lark? Is that you?" The thought came again, with a touch of smugness, no. Lark was giving Robin a puzzled expression, but then her ears pricked up, toward the other end of the cave, "must be something, or someone there," Robin mumbled, hiding in the heap of moss, perhaps? She reached forward, "ouch!" Robin drew back with a startled gasp, something had.....scratched her? She moved forward and could feel Lark's eyes on her, a look of puzzlement and wonder on her face, and pushed aside some of the moss, nearly jumping backwards, startled. A coal black dragon with shiny, glossy scales sat gazing up at her, "were-were you the one speaking to me?'' She asked the tiny creature, trying to imagine how young he or she must be to be so small, yes, said a wave of thought which pushed into her mind. A dragon.....

"Huh?" Sarah looked up. "Oh, no! It's not you, it's just...um...never mind, it's has nothing to do with you, it's fine." Sarah rushed out, not wanting to offend Varnis in anyway. With Varnis being blindfolded, it seemed to make Sarah more comfortable even though she knew he could probably still see her using the spirits by his sides. Sarah ended up smiling for no reason, other than that she was kind of happy to have met someone she was comfortable around, even if only somewhat.

Varnis had wondered what was wrong, but decided not to continue as he didn't want to intrude into a personal matter, if it was. "Ok then do you mind if I stay here for a little bit?" He asked as he still stood where he was.

"Here? But would you not be lonely?" Sarah asked, being surprisingly bolder then she usually was. 'Oh god, i'm talking to a stranger...Some hot stranger in black. Oh, shut up!' Sarah thought, her cheeks turning pink.

Robin at last regained herself, the initial shock of finding a dragon was what had stunned her for a few moments, but now a funny prickling sensation on her skin brought her back to earth, the dragon, she had realized, was crawling up her arm. Its ocean blue eyes were fixed on her blade, which, she noticed, must be causing the poor thing some unease, perhaps it had never seen a sword, of course, she would never harm such a thing, but perhaps it wasn't aware of that. "Who's dragon are you?" Robin asked the creature kindly, it let out a sad little chitter, no one's, it said gloomily, "well, I'll bet you're hungry," yes, Robin got up and moved toward the pile of raspberries, "here," she said, holding a single berry out for the dragon to try. Thank you, a voice in her head said, as the dragon reached forward and picked the berry up delicately, crushing it with its mouth and swallowing it. Actually, it was really quite cute, she placed a few more berries before it and one by one it ate them, crushing them to get the juice before swallowing. She picked it up, does it have a name? She thought, no, I don't, came the sad reply. She nearly jumped, not having realized that she had let her thoughts reach the dragon's mind, if they were connected that way, it would be impossible to let the dragon just....go. Are you perhaps Saturn? She asked, the name of an ancient dragon, the dragon shook its head. Wait, are you a male? Robin asked, a chitter of agreement, right then. Are you Vulcan? No. Night? No. Garrin? No. Aton? No. Finally, she thought of a name, from an old tale, she thought she'd try it, and see, are you Nighthorn? Yesss. The dragon gave a murmur of appreciation, I'll call you Night for short, she thought, Nighthorn the dragon, her new friend. She hoped Lark wouldn't be jealous about having to share the attention, while the dragon was still young it'd need more attention.

Sighing aloud, Senra looked up at the clouds. The lazy white balls of ice crystals floated by slowly, and the bright blue sky was a almost gray. The near perfect moment was suddenly interrupted by a growl from her stomach. Looking up into the tree behind her, Faile was asleep. Usually she did the fishing, since she enjoyed it, but she didn't wake the hawk up. The bird had been up most of the night, doing her own thing.
Sitting up, she grabbed a stick off the stump, then set about looking for a rope. She soon found some washed up lake weeds, and weaving them together, she soon had a proper pole made. Now for a hook... she thought, and reached down to her boot. Taking off a buckle, she broke off a piece and bent it. Placing a worm on the end, she tossed it into the lake, and waited.

"I wont be that lonely." He said as he turned his had towards the light spirit, then to the dark. "I have these two that can keep me company, they never leave me when I want them to though." He said before he cut off the connection to light spirit, to save some energy, and not notice Sara's blush.

"Oh." Sarah said lamely, tucking her hair behind an ear, a nervous gesture of hers. "Did you travel all the ways here on foot?" Sarah asked, not wanting there to be an awkward silence between them. 'And i'm looking for an excuse to get him to go back to my cabin with me...' Sarah thought innocently, she really did have such a dirty mind.

"I did walk, I am fine though. Once you walk a lot, you do get used ot it though." Varnis had said as he looked down a little bit at his feet, then back to Sarah.

((hmmm....))
Lark wasn't there the next day, but a footprint she left near the cave said that she was out for a walk, Robin wasn't worried, as Lark went out often, and didn't return till sundown, she was getting more capable to take care of herself. Robin seized her chance to get to know Night without having Lark get jealous. She had managed to get Night to sit still on her shoulder with no trouble at all, and the dragon could hunt mice and such, "I suppose you like to drink milk?" she asked, most dragons do, and so I do as well, but I don't crave it, I prefer berry juices. Was Night's reply, Robin nodded slowly, "well then, maybe we should go for a walk, you're not familiar with this place yet and it would be good if you knew the forest a little better." Night suddenly lost his balance and fell, letting loose a loud, shrill whistle that made Robin cover her ears and wince, but other creatures didn't seem to have heard it. She wondered if only she could hear it. "Can you do that whenever you want to?" She asked, Night did it again and she winced, "good, whenever you're lost, just whistle, I'll hear it and I'll be able to find you since I'll know where the noise is coming from." Night nodded, can we go on our walk now? He asked, Robin laughed, "yes Night," She picked Night up and he crawled back onto her shoulder, making her look like a very unusual, spiky parrot was perched on her shoulder, she walked out of the cave, blinking in the half-sunlight and walked into the forest.
