"Hmm. I know I may appear young, but I am far older than I look." When she smiled, all the blood in his body (not neccessarily his) felt like it was heating, and Lael felt a curious aching sensation in the region of his heart. He quickly looked away from Rosaline's face and tried to get his body back under his control.

"Oh really?" Rosaline mutterted to herself as they approached her house. The light in the kitchen was still on, so at least she wouldn't miss dinner. Thinking of food caused her stomach to growl, which made blood rush to her cheeks.
"This is my house so..." She said akwardly, still blushing. "I'll, uh, see you later?"
She tripped going up the staris on her front porch, which only made her blush even deeper. Rosaline mentally smacked herself for looking like such of a fool in front such a perfect man. She tried to push the thought of him being perfect from her mind but simply couldn't. Leal was the most beautiful man she had ever seen.

"Yes, later..." Quickly, he tried to think of something - anything - to say that would get her to stay longer. "Uh." 'Uh'? Did I just say 'uh'? "Rosaline? If you need anything at school, just ask, alright?" Brilliant. Lael was certain that was something a human teacher would say to a new student.

"Alright. I will." She says and closes the door, running into the kitchen.
"Sorry I'm late mom, I got a little lost." She lied and fixed a plate of food. As she ate, her thoughts wandered to Lael.
She got up and washed off her plate before setting it in her sink, then dashed up the stairs and brushed her teeth and hair before settling in her bed. It had been a hectic day and her eyes fell easily.
Rosaline awoke the next morning to the annoying buzz of her alarm clock, which red digital digits flashed red in the dark reading 6:00am. She sat up and rubbed her eyes sleepily. After dragging herself out of bed she grabbed clean clothes and a towel and took a shower. Rosaline emerged from the bathroom in a long sleeved grey shirt and black jeans that were beginning to frey at the knees. She tossed her scarf around her neck and slipped on her converse. Rushing downstairs she grabbed a waffle and ate it quickly, the ran upstairs to brush her teeth and grab her bookbag. Rosaline waved her mother goodbye and left the house to walk to school.
In the silence of the cold morning she couldn't help but feel nearvous about the previous nights events, but looking back she wasnt sure if it had been a dream or not.

"I will say this once, and only once; leave the humans alone." Lael glared out at the students assembled in his classroom. "They are not cattle. They are not your food. And God help you if I find any of the students here - especially you lot - treating one of them as such." With one last glare, he turned and marched out the door, leaving the young vampires and weres staring after him in shock. People in the hallway cleared out of his way quickly, so obvious was his bad mood. Making his way to the front doors of the school, Lael waited for Rosaline, a scowl on his face.

Rosaline entered the front gates to the school yard and saw Lael waiting at the front of the building. Her heart leaped from her chest. So last night wasnt a dream after all. She continued up to the stairs where He was as she thought of what to say. She aproached him and said, "Hello, um, Sir. Did you sleep well?"

Lael blinked. Sir? Sir? Gods. She just called me 'sir'. "Sir?" He echoed, a look of intense distaste on his face. "I would rather you just call me Lael, or Dara. Everyone else does." His gaze roamed over her face and the bad mood started to evaporate. He smiled. "I did sleep well." A lie. "And you? Oh, I came out here to tell you, both you and one of your sisters are in my class."

Oh...freaking lovely. I haven't even walked in the building and I already know I'm going to fail one class. She thought through the smile on her face. How was she supposed to concentrate on her studies when she couldn't pull her gaze away from Lael. "Thank you Lael and thank again for the other night." Rosaline leaned in and muttered the last part so that those around her did not hear. When she got closer to him she could feel her palm tingling ever so lightly and the kids around her gave her the same creepy feeling as the kids from last night. What the hell was going on here? If Lael hadn't been there she probably would have bolted for home now, but something about his prescence made her feel safe. For one moment, she imagined herself in his arms. A blush flushed across her face and she looked down to hide it.
"Well, I suppose I should get to first period before I'm late." She said, still staring at the concrete tought it was a fighting effort. Her eyes wanted badly to rest upon his beautiful face again.

Lael, his eyes now shot with lighter hues of brown, looked slightly stupifiyed. The smile made him feel like he'd just been punched in the gut. He stared at her, his own smile a little loopy. "Yes... first period.." If he wasn't careful, he'd end up following after her like a love-struck fool. He'd even stopped noticing what was going on around him. Giving a little shake of his head, he turned to go inside. "Ahh... right. The... the town is pretty small, so the school has a shortage of teachers. Basically, you are split between my two classes and one of the other teacher's, Mrs. Jonsin, for the day."
