Morthan snorted gratefully and gave his body a good shake off, flapping his wings and whipping his tails as he did so to clear the water from them too. "Much better," he said with a smile once he'd finshed, pleased that he hadn't managed to make himself fall over during the shake off. "Makes me glad I've a short mane," he added, chucking softly, "dries nice and quickly."

Eira smiled, now nice and wet. "So true. Unfortunaitly my mane is rather long. Takes a bit to dry out unless i'm in the sun." She said. "Perhaps we should get somplace a little warmer" she said after a moment, the chill from the water now settling in. "I mean just cause you shook off doesn't mean your 100% dry."

Morthan nodded his agreement to the mare's words. "Good idea," he said aloud, "it's not very cold here but I can feel a bit of a breeze... Are there any trees nearby we could shelter in?" He couldn't for the life of him remember where they'd been at sunest, let alone if they'd wandered a significant distance since then. Ah well, Eira would know, and would lead him somewhere sheltered. It was good not to be alone.

"No...But there are some big rocks making a nice little nich. We may have to duck a bit to get in but its enough room it looks like, to lay down. How does that sound?" She asked.

Morthan nodded his pale head, gazing about himself at the blackness as if he would suddenly magically be able to see. As this was not the case, he turned back to where he thought Eira was with a smile. "Sounds good to me, would you lead the way?" Her hoofbeats would be hard to hear on the soft grass of D'ob; it would probably be easier to walk with his shoulder against hre flank... Still, whatever she chose to do he would cope with, he was sure.

Eira figited a bit. She had kinda forgotten about the fact she would need to lead him...and she was drenched...and he would surely feel that. She sighed. Oh well. She nodded. "Oh course." She smiled. She moved to his side, scooting over so they were shoulder to shoulder. The ground between them and the rocks looked fairly even from what she could see so there shouldn't be a problem. "Just walk with me." she smiled as she started slowly forward.

Being sodden himself however, and rather focused on walking, the mare's wetness went unnoticed by the albino for the present at least. "Thank you," he said with a smile, reaching out tentatively with a wing and draping it over her back. Not only did it make him better able to tell which way she she was headed and whether or not she was headed up a slope or similar but the closeness felt good. ...If he asked her what he wanted to ask her, would she say yes? Even if she liked him the answer might be no; he knew a lot of potential romances had been broken up because one party of another didn't want mixed-blooded foals... Still, no sense worrying about that for now; not like he was planning to ask right now or anything.

Eira, almost automaticaly, rested her head against his neck as they walked. She smiled softly before laughing quietly. "Sorry." she said, stoping her laughter after a moment. "I just thought of something funny." she said. she explained. She smiled lightly and would have closed her eyes but seeing as she was the eyes for both of them she didn't. "For such a scary looking stallion..." she started. "You sure are sweet."

Morthan grinned and laughed, slightly embarrassed by the compliment; compliments for Eira were different from compliments from others. They meant more to him for starters. "Thank you Eira," he said, blowing a friendly breath at the brown mare. "I like being sweet, it's more fun than being grumpy. Don't understand how anybody could spend their whole life being unpleasant; met an Aeri chap once who actually said, if I remember right, that he enjoyed being bitter." Yes, that was right; blind white eyes, blue mane and tail and a white skeleton about him. Thoroughly creepy and bloody crap company.

Still grinning, the blind stallion settled his wing more comfortably about the dappled Ichsa. "You're very sweet too," he said after a moment, "especially for a pretty mare. Lots who look as good as you get vain and think they're better than everyone else, thoroughly annoying people like that can be."

"I know. And i prefer to be pleasent. Its much easier to enjoy life that way." She smiled. "I've met plenty of unpleasent folks. But with all the traveling i did, i never had to spend to much time with any of them." She relaxed under the wing. "Besides, i have a secret weapon for keeping sweet. I don't see myself as pretty in any way." she said

The blue-eyed stallion chuckled at Eira’s words and nodded. “That’s one advantage of moving about I suppose, and maybe an advantage of not thinking you’re pretty. Still, I think even if you did you’d be one of the ones who wasn’t a b***h about it.” The Reya turned his head slightly to nuzzle at the other Nequus’ cheek. “I can’t imagine you being nasty to anyone,” he commented with a fond smile, and indeed he couldn't.

Eira smiled softly. "You think so?" She returned the nuzzle. "thank you." and she really did. It was special, hearing it from him. Plenty of stallions had said she was pretty, beautiful and more, but non of them had any sincerity in it. It was all words to impress her. But Morthan...he was diffrent. He ment what he said and it ment all that much more to her. "Thank you."

The white stallion whickered softly and bobbed his head. "Indeed I do, and it's my pleasure." Her voice smiles at him, and Morthan looked forward to sunrise when he would be able to see that same expression once more.

"Are we nearly there?" he asked after a moment of silence, ears swivilling about for sounds that might indicate their approach to a cluster of rocks. Would they be underhoof as well, and if so how big might they be? He would have to tread carefully just to be sure he didn't find a sharp stone the hard way.

"Yes, we're here." She said. "Wait here, let me go in and make sure its big enough and everything." She nudged his cheek before she moved away from him and into the mini cave, walking around, cheacking for sharp rocks, pot holes etc. "Wow, its so big." She smiled. "Its so clean to." She smiled and moved back. "Its alright, and its taller then i thought so you don't have to duck."

Morthan gave a snort of thanks to the mare's words and moved forward cautiously feeling the ground underhoof change from springy grass to soft dust, or possibly a sand-like substance, as he did so. A moment later, the breeze that had been blowing against his flank was cut off, and the white stallion knew he must be inside the cave.

"Hurra," he said with a soft chuckle, peering blindly about himself. "Nice and sheltered in here. Can't offer an opinion on the aesthetics until morning, but when that comes around I'll remember to let you know what I think." Perhaps she wanted his opinion on it, perhaps not but she was going to get it either way and the albino doubted that the Ichsa mare would mind.
