Zombicide I'm simply disproving his claim. 'Nuff said. I wanna find something I've wanted all along.... Disproving? He is simply stating his opinion, he's not stating it as a fact that everyone should think too. You also can't "disprove" an opinion like that. It is purely opinion, so it can neither be fact or false. ....Somewhere I belong

Ace Paladin HistoryWak Ace Paladin Zombicide He could've done that in his last post. And his last post clearly stated that he wanted to compare the pros and cons of the 360 and PS3. That is basically the premise of a debate. Did he steal your girlfriend or something?
What do you have against this guy? rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl True story.
He came in here guns ablazing when the thread creator didn't do anything or say much yet. Besides, there's nothing wrong with debate. I'm looking forward to what he has to say. Even if we disagree with it we can discuss what we disagree about it. I hope all this arguing isn't going to discourage him from doing this. Perhaps I'll send him a PM letting him know it's ok and not to worry about it. We aren't going to proclaim fanboy or fanwank or whatever till we see his reasons for it. If he has intelligent reasons we can discuss it civilly. We should give him the benefit of the doubt. If it was Blues, Viking, etc (no offense), we'd be looking at this differently as we know their attitudes toward the other consoles. If this guy states his opinion that PS3 is better than 360 without unfair or ruthless bashing etc.. then I applaud him. We should just wait and see.

I'll bet he's coming up with something big. Something REALLY big.
Hint: If he was smart, he could respond by remarking how the PS3's online play service is free, but I can still counter that. Yes, I'm giving someone a little hint to get this debate on its way here.....

Bleeding_Me Why PS3 This thread was created majorly to compare the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but wii fans are aloud all the same. So, first and for most, I would like to apologize for this thread not being very appealing to the eye. Although I try to be literate everywhere I go, I am still not very good at making my threads look very pretty. Also, I'd like everyone to know that what I say in here is accurate to the best of my knowledge, taken from www.us.Playstation.com, www.xbox.com/en-us, or based on my personal experience of having a PS3. And lastly, when I began with the idea for this thread, I did not plan on adding any additional rules to the guild rules you already must obey. But I can see as I've been told this thread could spur a potential flame war that I must add some additional rules and guidelines to prevent that from happening. They are as follows: -Do not act like your opinion is worth more than anyone elses, because it's not. -Saying "I bought an xbox 360 because I felt it had a wider selection of games," is acceptable, but do not make that become the focus of this thread. - I Over emphasize the "No Flaming" rule. Please present your opinions politely, and try to include why you feel how you feel. -Do not provide information that is not true, nobody needs someone lying to win a debate. That pretty much somes up rules, I reserve the right to add to or change them however. Anyway onto my major arguements for the PS3 Blu-Ray Disc Drive I think most of us all know that a Blu-Ray player takes high definition to a new level. And most of us also know, that the cheapest one can buy one is for around $800 in the U.S. The PS3 just so happens to have a Blu-Ray disc drive, where one could play the hd Blu-Ray dvd's, and also all of the PS3's games are on Blu-Ray discs. Although both the 360 and the PS3 have identical graphics cards, the PS3's graphics appear much clearer and more highly defined on an hdtv than the 360. Many 360 users will argue "The potential of the Blu-Ray drive is never truly unlocked in PS3's games." While that is a true statement, the PS3 does not need to read discs at it's maximum speed in order to play the games and have high definition graphics. Playstation Network I Prefer the Playstation Network over Xbox live for one simple reason, it's free! The only expense some people may have to pay to use it is if they don't already have the means of accessing the internet. However in my case, I have a wireless router in my house, and there is a wireless receiver built in to the PS3. So all I had to do was make several free accounts for me and my family, type in the key code for our wireless network and just like that I was playing my PS3 online. Now all I have to do is turn the thing on and select a user and it automatically logs me in and searches for our network. A 360 user would have to pay $100 for a wireless receiver, and $50 per account, per year for gold membership on Xbox Live. bbl to finishPretty nice. I myself am an endorser of Blu-Ray -- though I cannot buy it myself. Please note if no one else has, Blu-Ray players are no longer $800. I think I saw one for $450 recently. However, I do believe that while it makes the PS3 better in some ways, it could very well be the factor that gave 360 the upper hand. Notice the price gap upon release. $200. $100 if you go with the lower-end model, but that $100 still didn't get you a lot more, AND in order to get HD, you had to buy extra stuff (HD component and HDMI NOT included). The 360 popped in with a better equipped package. Now the real kicker is that 1080p is pretty useless to most gamers. Don't get me wrong. 1080p is good. However, on a typical-sized TV, the average eye will not notice much difference between 720p and 1080p resolutions, meaning that only people with larger TVs really benefit from those high-end graphics. 720p is still HD, and 360 is doing it just fine. Where Sony NEEDS to advance is in storage space. Making games that take up 40GB with more than just details, that is. ONLINEI personally have very little experience with Sony's online service, so I just want to COMMENT, that Xbox Live is much more successful, especially considering that people pay to use it.

Well done. He took my white-text advice. Unless if that post was made before mine.....the Xbox 360 gets the upperhand in online because 1. more games are compatible with it (play wise) 2. more games are compatible with it (download wise) and 3. downloads are less expensive over Live. Also, (correct me if I'm wrong, but I could've sworn I saw this somewhere) I think the Sony Home service will cost a monthly fee. So (if I'm right) that completely cans the only upperhand that PSN has over Xbox Live. So, for the online scene, the edge goes to the 360. Regardless if Sony Home will cost money, or not.

Yes. Storage is good, as is free online play. We don't get Blu-ray on the Wii, but we do get free Online play and WiiConnect24. Both PS3 and Wii have Internet Browsers browsers. One has pointer cohtrol, the other has six tabs. All good stuff. Before anyone touches friendcodes, I'd like to say that Wii games give you the option to play with anyone anonymously without using friendcodes. Friendcodes are basically telephone numbers with a few extra digits that are all saved onto your system. You enter them only once. I'd like to point out that Blu-Rays are $400 and whatever the cost of the TV and the cables to basically have a debatably noticable diffrence in the picture quality. I'm still pimpin' with SD. Not even 480p and Widescreen. Of course, if you decide to spend so much money on the aforementioned items, an upscaling device shouldn't be out of your grasp.

Actually, outside of the "more games" bits you're wrong on all accounts. On more than one occasion, Xbox Live has charged significantly more for their downloads than PSN. Remember the Guitar Hero II song packs? There was a huge uproar about that, even from some of the more staunch 360 supporters. Not to mention that the "Points" you have to use on XBL have an arbitrary value, as opposed to a simple 1 cent = 1 point. Also, there will be no monthly fee for Home. Now or ever. So basically, all Live has is a little bit more stuff to download, which for $50 a year, they damn well better. Honestly, the Battle of the Console Networks could be considered a stalemate at this point, especially now that PSN has really started getting quite alot of original content up, and is the ONLY online service that has been giving many indie developers a home.

Thank you for correcting me about Sony Home. But still, do people have to be brain-washed by 10 trillion polygons per screen and free online just to have fun? The Xbox 360 has more exclusive content, and its games are actually, well, better. In the end, it all boils down to the games. You aren't going to get a PS3 just to play DVD's, because for that, you can just get a normal DVD player.

Hey, this raises something I'd like to address.
These subforums are DEAD. Moving something there is the equivalent to moving them to the trashcan.

That or all the threads put here that pertain to an individual console could be moved to that subforum. For example, the Assassin's Creed threads could have been make in a subforum or two.
