Polyphonic Twilight ~[girlygirl]~ CityScene ~[girlygirl]~ CityScene You're speaking with a choir student. stare *cough* Not that that's a bad thing. It's just how I differentiate 'boy bands' from other bands. >.> You can't see your vocal chords. You can't phisically hold them (well you could...but that would be rather disgusting.) You can't put a finger on them and blow to make them hit an A Flat.
I think anyone who can sing should get more credit than anyone who can play a hand-held instrument. If you ask me, I think anyone who can hit a "C" without an accompliament has a gift from God.
Your voice is an instrument, and it takes a lot of talent to be good. For you to tell me that the human voice is not an instrument...well...I don't know what type of instrument should be considered one. Okay, okay, you have a good argument there. But I'm talking about the instruments that you can physically play. And that, in my mind, is the only thing that doesn't make Panic! or Fall Out Boy 'boy bands'. The the only thing that doesn't make Panic! or Fall Out Boy 'boy bands' is that they're original. They write their own music and go by their own ideas, whereas most boy bands are almost completely controlled by their manager and have no say in their songs, choreography or sometimes even their looks. They're just out for commercial success...
At least that's how I think of it...Yeah, that too! Good point.

Never thought about it like that.
I really liked how (even though they threw it all away) that Panic! went to a cabin and wrote by theirselves. It shows that they don't need someone in a recording studio to help them write songs.
