"When doing this to protect yourself draw the X on your stomach or chest ahead of time until you can perform the spell without it. If the blood you use is your own than it will last even longer but you run the risk of draining your soul, which will hapen everytime you use your own energy."

Pent nodded. He'd seen many a friend and foe fall from such a defensive spell. It was rather strange, the light leaving their eyes as their own power did them in. It wasn;t something he liked to see.

Aiko picked up a spare vial of blood and dipped his fingertip in it. He briskly drew the X on the paper. "THe spell you will be useing goes like this: Aradvet Meradath verda. Simply enough but you have o put meaning behind it." he said, he always struggled to discribe how to do that.

Ivy walked in again looking lost. She thanked her lucky star she usally had a really good sense of direction because she couldn't really make heads or tailes of this school. "Dark magic, alright." She siad as she walked in and took a seat.

Ivy nodded and smiled winningly. "Yes if I have the right place that is. This is dark magic class right?" She asked. She knew there was a slight possiblity she had gotten the wronge place.

Pent looked to aiko. "With elemental spells, i know, once you;re advanced enough you can say them in your head instead of out loud. does dark magic work the same way?"

"Alright, Shield out of magic blood. got it." Ivy said nodding. She may have seemed alittle slow but the only magic she could work well was the stuff she was born with so she was really neaves about messing up here.

Aiko shook his head to Ivy. "It's blood magic, not magic blood." he said. "And yes, you can but it is always more powerful to actually voice the spell." he said.

A pink tint came on to Ivy's cheeks. She desided it was best to keep her mouth shut and listen. Pent seemed to know alot more that she didn which didn't exsactly help her nerves.

Pent dipped his figner in the blood and drew an X and shouted the words aiko told him. he channeled his power into his figners, spreading it evenly.
the X lit up, glowing and melting into a scarlet sheild across the paper. Pent fed his energy into it until he felt it get a fault line. he quickly receded, withdrawing his hand before the blood sizzled beneath his fignertips.

Aiko smiled. "You'll understand soon enough." he said, sensing her emotions slightly through his tight shields.
