[BlkCat] Knola And while we're at using silly titles from long dead ancestors who don't have any kind of standing in the current society, you can call me Princess Knola. wink xd O'Donnell princess? o.o *bows* (I'm Irish o.o...lol. Most intelligent Scarborough left on earth except for maybe Joe Scarborough from MSNBC) Should I mention that I'm descended from the (a) king of Bréifne? O'Rourke family, FTW! (EDIT: also the 37th King of Ulster. That would be... Manning family, ftw)

Khalida Nyoka Should I mention that I'm descended from the (a) king of Bréifne? O'Rourke family, FTW! (EDIT: also the 37th King of Ulster. That would be... Manning family, ftw) No s**t? That means we're (extremely distant) relatives! heart
Most Irish also have either English or Scottish ancestors, too, so that makes sense.
I know that the O'Donnells have a giant directory that the head keeps in New York. She also sends out the newsletters and that kind of thing. It's nothing cool secretive; just kind of fun to actually have somewhat of a sense of culture. But you should look into that stuff if you haven't, and maybe get to meet some of your relatives. 3nodding
I can't find anything on any O'Raighly clan, though (unless it IS O'Reilly) Usually, you have to have something close to the original spelling, or the completely anglicized version to be able to look anything up. I'm afraid I've never heard the story about it...usually, your family crest is just symbolic and doesn't have a story to go with it. For example, ours has a dove (previously it was a griffin meaning power, but then we converted into Christianity so we had to change it), meaning Christianity, and three rings representing wealth.

Jeebus. I'm willing to believe almost anything, as long as it makes sense to me, but... wow... you can't even get the likes of ME to believe you. o= Das just not cool.
How do you know you're the last one? What is a magius? What do you Do? What proof can you give us so that we can believe you?

chocokarma actually, i dont know the original name, but it became the O'reilly clan So you ARE related to Bill-O. You poor guy. gonk
Btw, I think what people are wanting is like...whatever source you get your info from. So a link to a website like SacredTexts or something. If all you've got is the book you found, it would be cool if you could scan some pages or at least take a picture of it. If you can do that people will take you a lot more seriously. surprised
I mean, since you can tell us about it so freely, I assume that you don't have to hide the book itself. If you don't want its information getting out, then maybe scan the title page or pages that don't have anything of consequence on them.

how did i know? simple, Magius magick requires a special type of energy a traceable energy. it is simple to trace with a basic locator spell in book two of the basick magicks of the magius.
the magius is a little hard to explain, i can tell you what we do easily. They where charged with keeping the balance of power between light and dark. we once had many in the order... but it died out completely with the inquisition.

Just a couple more things: 1) Are you sure this traceable energy isn't just a bunch of crap? I mean, I could say that human-incarnated Gods give off traceable energy which is simple to trace with a basic locator spell in book two of the basick magicks of the Gods, but since I've found no-one else, I must be the only human-incarnated god. 2) Where are these books? Can you copy out some of the information for us, please? 3) If the order died out during the inquisition, how come you're here?

Alright, let me see if I can lay this out and explain it for you chocokarma. (If I get anything wrong... Well sue me, at least I'm trying.)
I'm not sure what you were told, but today's paranormal (Magical, psionic, etc.) comunity is not a big family with wide open arms willing to accept anyone at any time, at least not the good parts of it. We are plagued with fluffy people who make claims, such as you are making, daily, which are obviously fictional. No one is exactly sure why they do this, but that's not really the point. The instant you walk into a place claiming something, you are put into the fluffy sightings. People are very agressive towards fluffies, they bring down the reputation of the comunity as a whole and get very annoying. The trick is to prove yourself as a person, before you try anything big.
Hell, I one time posted a little story involving some psionic stuff that I did with Epsilon. I was branded a fluffy for a little while, because it was my first post and it Sounded like a fantasy.
And believe it or not, if you want to be taken seriously, you're going to have to put some effort into what you type. Might seem silly to you, but it's how the world works. At least the serious world.

;Sigh.; You seem to have missed the point.
You
Need
To
Earn
Our
Trust
And you need to do it with things other than magic. My advice would be to lay off talking about what you do for say... A week, help people, talk to people, just be a guy and not a magic-user. You've been doing well enough, but all the talk of your super-shiny magics has, for at least some people, been cancling all the good stuff out.
QUICK EDIT: Also, an important fact. Don't claim anything is fact, it's all up for discussion. That wins you major points.

well the only way for me to be taken seriously is if people will take me seriously otherwise all i say is moot. tis all i can do, i cant give out my advice without being taken serious. no one will trust my advice.
i would think you would be open to at least the fact that i am allowing you to test my honesty on your own. what can i do if you dont belive even then?
