Everyone looks so gorgeous! And Garnet, your elegant touch is seen - the Great Hall looks lovely!
::Accepts a glass of her favorite pomegranate juice and a handful of dark chocolate covered pumpkin seeds::: I see we've Gated in some hertasi from their Vale again to assist our House elves!
I came in from a loooong day of working incognito with the Muggles and
find this most beautiful package emanating all the colors of the rainbow
and jumping up and down under my mistletoe!
Inside was something that I'd seen in an Erised gaze when I first came to this wonderous land:::wipes a tear:: It was my turn to jump up and down and I began to channel Sally Field "They like me! They really like me!" ::: Blows nose lustily and unthinkly on her voluminous dress robe sleeves, then hastily performs a quick Scourgify charm:::
Thank you all so much! I opened the package and read your note just before my last client, a literal Phoenix who is also an HP lover. When we came out of session, I shared your note with her and re-read the background of the Elegant Veil. The story of the elegant veil in itself is a metaphor for both of us, and we were both moved (me for the second time).
I sent her back to her home with her Holiday gifts of "The Voyages of Dr. Doolittle" and Diane Duane's superb "So you want to be a Wizard" tucked under her arm. She's read all 7 of the HPs already.
Then I apparated to Gaia, assisted AccioFunds with tons of owls, while simultaneously healing a horde of orphans....
I need to be off - I'm promised to assist Filius and Minerva with a project - more on that later! Finishes pomegranate juice and swooshes out, blowing kisses...

Hm, the Vanashing Cabinet does seem to be creating a bit of a problem. Does anyone know if both cabinets are in perfect working order? If they aren't, then the people that entered them could be anywhere!
...I don't suppose Peeves is playing a Holiday joke, or something like that?

I'm back, everyone! Saranis, Josephine! Nice to see you came after all. I was wondering if anyone else in Slytherin would come and join the fun.
And thank you, LadyHealingHands. I had plenty of fun decorating the Hall. I didn't do it all by myself, though. Professor Flitwick did help me with the tree and the ornaments. *she gestures upwards to the floating ornaments*

 Professor Flitwick rushes in, eyes wide and looking much as he did in the day when he was Dueling Champion of England! "I'm involved in an immensely complicated Charm", says he, and in preparation, I've isolated and incased the essences of certain vital personalities -no, not Horcruxi- this doesn't split souls; it replicates, oh it's a bit complicated! But I've sent the essence of Albus Dumbledore into several safe locations--I need at least 5 back. I'm prepared to thank those keepers of the ornaments holding Albus' essences, at least one of you, but as I'm going to need help for a few days as this Charm mixes with a potion, and is Transfigured by LadyHealingHands and Minerva, I have some lovely rewards, I've saved. So I will give a MIMZY to one of the five who bring me an Albus ornament to the Great Hall!" ::rushes off::: sweatdrop Lady HealingHands slips in wearily. He's in a Time-Turner. He means bring the ornaments here, to the Yule Ball which is the Great Hall transfigured for the occasion. You guys are the best - you're really helping.
We need a smidgeon more Albus, then one of us will let you know what's needed next. Have fun "Rockin' around the Christmas tree!

Super walked in with her hair done up and a red laced dress. The white fluff at the bottom itched her legs and her cloak began to bug her. She walked in always the character from Gryffindor and began to look around at all of the people.

 I'm sorry that I've only just visited this thread. Silly me.... Orna I love your avatar, it is very festive and fit for a Ravenclaw! That dress is WAY COOL!
This is very nicely set up, and I am very excited to be here! ^-^ I've been in this guild for three months now, and I'm still easily surprised and eager about this place! I cannot seem to be weary of the forums, the contests or anything-there is always something going on, and I love it!
I hope everyone's Christmas celebrations are commencing pleasently? Here at my house we have nearly a foot of snow outside, a large Christmas tree (whom I have named Gideon...have you seen "One Magic Christmas"? He's the angel! And he's amazing!!!) and my brother and his family visiting from California! It's only four days till Christmas, and I can hardly believe it. Merry Christmas!

 Professor Sprout comes in. Dearies, Filius, Minerva and LadyHealingHands are up to their elbows transfiguring soil. They sent me -a bit confusing as the three were shouting at once- requesting a Weasley. Does anyone here have a Weasley ornament? It's a bit unstable, we still need more Albus. But we have a set of pixie wings to offer for a Weasley ornament. I'll wait here until someone brings me one, let the 3 stabilize the project. ::Fans herself with large mutated rhodedendron leaf:: My, how lovely the Hall looks.
