Reese laughed and giggled as he was cuddled, hugging Zyanya tightly and peering at the world as they walked away from it together. Z was so awesome! She always made him feel like he was the best person on Earth, just like Poppa and Wilbur did. Better than, sometimes! He grinned widely as she promised they could paint together, nodding his head to answer her question about food.
"Hi Baka-Wilbur!" Reese cheered as they entered the kitchen, shifting some to wave at the butler. He looked around for whatever food may have been left out for them...very glad to see that bowls of soggy cereal were definitely not included on the menu.
"Where'th breakfatht?" he piped, head tilting curiously. Wilbur sighed quietly when he saw the mantis girl and seahorse boy. He never was good at keeping punishments, even when Edge's children had been Reese's age.
"Well, I thought it would be bad form to subject you and Miss Z to the mush your cereal had become," he was trying to remain stern, but it wasn't working well at all. "Especially with this being your first sleepover. So why don't you tell me what you'd like, without asking for the fancy stuff," he warned, anticipating the request for crepes that danced on Reese's tongue. "And you two can watch cartoons while I cook?"
Reese grinned sheepishly, wiggling slightly as he pondered. Pancakes? Pancakes weren't terribly fancy. Or waffles! Fresh waffles too; "none of that frozen stuff" as his father would say. Big violet eyes turned to Z, chewing his lip thoughtfully.
"Waffleth?" he suggested, glancing at Wilbur for the nod of approval that those weren't too fancy.

Zyan; not normally the type that loved smothering lover, could help but feel happy as Reese clung to her. He was ever so cute and she had to force back a laugh turning it into a smothered cough as he called Wilbur by his 'special' name. AH yes. This one she would keep, he was a fast learner and she had a suspicsion he would get into all sorts of trouble when older. She intended in getting him in trouble anyway, more fun that way.
She watched as Wilbur tried to remain stern a smug smile trying to edge itself on her face. So even Wilbur couldn't resist the charms of this little one? Didn't surprise her, and when Reese suggested waffles she only nodded her head in agreement. Waffles sounded very good at this moment. She was getting to the point that the gnawing in her stomach was going to make her angry.
"Let's go watch cartoons then Reese while we wait for breakfast. What is your favorite show?" she inquired hoping to take her mind off her hunger.

"Backyawdiganth!" Reese cheered with both fists triumphant in the air! He loved that show! Singing and make believe and awesomeness! It was his favorite show of all time! He bounced happily as he was carried, making grabby hands towards the remote. He knew. Exactly. What channel it was. And by the little flashing numbers on the DVD machine, they hadn't missed it yet.
Wilbur sighed as the two left, turning to start the iron and let it get nice and hot while he made the batter. Waffles. Waffles weren't too bad...and not something Reese could make too much of a mess out of. When he heard the Backyardigans theme playing from the living room, he gave a sly smirk of satisfaction. Oh...let's see Zyanya suffer through this one.
Reese sang the theme song. At the top of his little lungs. Off key, with the lisp. He cheered and bounced and basically made the nuisance out of himself that most 4 year olds were known to make. Luckily - unluckily? - he knew just about every episode, and thus when he saw this was the one with the Master Pie Makers...he nearly flopped off the couch.
"Do you wanna make pieth? Yeth, I wanna make pieth!" Again...off key, with his lisp, and at the very top of his lungs. He loved this episode.

Zyan had never watched cartoons as a child and this was a new experience for her. Loud noises she wasn't fond of them, but she forced a smile for it was indeed cute to watch Reese sing along with the opening theme song as well just generally enjoy the show. She had to wince as she was forced to try and look like she was enjoying herself.
Playing monster was a lot more fun, but Reese was enjoying himself....so she sat tight, clapping lightly at Reese's interesting singing and hoping breakfast would be served quickly. Her tummy grumebedl indignantly and very unlady like, but she didn't care she loved snuggling with Reese.
"So...this is your favorite show?" She asked her eye brows furrowing as she watched the strange colored animals...was that an orange moose?
"Who is your favorite character?"

"Authtin!" Reese said cheerfully, bouncing some in his seat as he looked at Z. "He'th the funnietht!" He was having so much fun! This was definitely his best sleepover ever! Even if it was only his first.
"Who do you like?" He asked with a curious tilt of his head, blinking innocently. He didn't realize Zyanya wasn't familiar with the show, or cartoons in general. He'd thought everyone watched cartoons...why wouldn't you, they're so much fun!
Out in the kitchen, the smell of waffles drifted out the door and into the living room where the pair sat. Wilbur had just finished his first batch of waffles, setting them aside to cool a bit as he got out butter, maple syrup, strawberry jelly and, Reese's favorite, whipped cream to top their breakfasts with.
"Young Sir! Miss Z! Breakfast is just about ready!"

Zyanya had no idea who that was, and even if she peered at the show she couldn't gather which of the colorful characters was this...Authtin? If that was indeed how you said the name anyway.
"Um...I like him too!" She lied, having no idea who he was and didn't care. Anything to get that cute chlid to smile at her.
She turned her head slowly as she heard the words breafast and almost ready. She was hungry and now able to smell the food she felt her hungry spike in her stomache again.
"What do you put on your waffles Reese-sama?" She asked trying to focus him on breakfast rather than this silly cartoon.

Reese's attention was definitely distracted from the show when he heard Wilbur call them. Yes, food! Food would make his tummy stop aching. He raised his arms towards Z for another pick-me-up, making grabby hands at her with a big grin on his face.
She called him Reese-sama! That made him feel so awesome inside!!!
"Whipped cream!" he proclaimed proudly, curling himself around Zyanya. Seriously now...what other kid did you know who got to eat whipped cream for breakfast?
"What would Miss Z like to drink, Young Sir?" Wilbur beckoned, finishing up the second batch of waffles. Two plates were set up; Z's with a fork and knife beside it while Reese's had been cut up already. The table was set with a sippy-cup of milk for the boy...but the mantis girl's was still empty. "We have milk and orange juice." Wilbur was no-nonsense. He was working...and Reese needed to eat before he started complaining that his stomach hurt.
"Want Juith?" Reese inquired, head tilting as he looked at Z.
