.Sweet Simplicty. So far for me, it's 'It.' A movie about a clown that eats children. It sound stupid but I saw it when I was 10 gonk From then on, I am now terrified of clowns Dx SEEMS FAMILIAR. Is it by any chance entitled 'IT'.I don't really remember. But I think the clown haunts the kids until they grow up is it. If it's not it well nevermind. I think I was your age too when I watch it. I am so scared that I keep shaking even when I am asleep that night. gonk

Saw II & 'IT'.
The Ring & The Grudge weren't that scary. But I can't seemt o understand the plot of the Ring since I watched when i was 7.
& IT was creepy. Even though I didn't see the beginning.

Fear dot Com - I find its premise plausible, if not precisely in the fashion it played out in the movie. It was the most disturbing horror film I've ever seen, since I do find the possiblity so credible and in fact had several theories on it before ever having watched the film. Not to mention, the scene of that pale blonde woman vomitting blood while undulating with a heated look in her eyes is permanently etched into my memory, something I could have gone without if only for the ick factor - to think someone scripted that.
The second, which I had thought could never be topped, was It. It did not give me a fear of clowns, in spite of having first seen the film when I was about two years old - in fact as a small child I even wanted to be a clown, just not the sort that eats people. Instead, It gave me a fear of plumbing. Sewer drains, shower and sink drains, man hole covers - if I knocked the plug on the tub drain and water started getting sucked in while I was still in the bath, I'd start panicking. Absolutely not a movie for small children, surprisingly - in spite of featuring a laughing, shark-smiled clown. How Bozo the clown didn't scare me after seeing Pennywise, I'll never know. Even now I occasionally look at the shower drain with suspicion.
The only other thing that ever really spooked me was a scene in one of the Phantasm movies, can't think which one, where one of the characters turns over in their bed and finds a dead body looking back at them. I used to be afraid of rolling over at night, thinking I'd find out I wasn't alone (was about seven at the time). Sometimes I still half expect it, even if the idea of having undead company isn't as novel a prospect anymore.

aw man that's a good question... I think ghost movies are the scariest because spirits are intangible... they can appear out of anywhere...
zombies, axe murderers... enh... those are just greusome and gory, not scary
so far, I think 'the ring' totally scared me shitless... the Japanese are very good at scary ghost stories... or maybe it's because they are a different culture and what has scared them for generations is 'new' and 'different' for us and that's what makes them so freightening

I'd have to say that the only one that's scared me enough to make me have nightmares would be Urban Legend but I was like 7 when I watched it... But the only thing closer would have to be One Missed Call (Japanese Version anythign else sucks) Or It, but my mom is a horror movie fanatic and watches ALL kinds of horror movies...
