Her hand withdrew automatically - again, without much thought, perhaps used to this type of exchange - opting to cross her arms over her stomach instead. She wasn't going to leave until dismissed, so to speak, awaiting his good bye or good night or whatever it is that would send her on her way. As he turned to leave, she felt her heart beat starting to return to normal, expecting a farewell from his cool, aloof voice.
Imagine her shock when he did quite the opposite. Alex blinked rapidly, staring at Kenth's back, lips parted in surprise. Did he just invite her into his room? Wasn't he practically falling over from exhaustion? She summoned the remainder of her composure to follow yet again, quietly shutting the door behind her. The woman felt very awake suddenly, her stomach knotting as she forced her breathing into a normal pattern.
It was obvious the man didn't use the room often, but it smelled faintly of him anyway. Her eyes found him in the dim room, sticking to him fast as she spoke in a low, soft voice, "Can I get you anything...?"

"...no." Came the short yet decisive reply. Kenth allowed himself to fall on the rather dusty but nonetheless comfortable bed, staring blankly into the ceiling.
He felt stupid for letting Alex in.
But it was too late since the woman was already in the room. Kenth was too exhausted to mind Alex's presence. The young doctor fell silent and closed his eyes. The softness of the bed and the warm room temperature would eventually consume him, guiding him to the depth of sleep once again. In midst of half-sleepiness he wondered about what happened just a moment ago, him allowing Alex to cry in his chest, him allowing Alex to follow to his dorm, and him allowing Alex to enter the room...
It was very much unlike him. But Kenth was too tired to care.
And before he'd fall asleep again Kenth wondered what would happen when he woke up again, probably not until later in the afternoon.

Time stood still, or so it felt to the woman, watching as the doctor fell onto his back on the bed. She didn't know what to do, if she was supposed to do anything, and she didn't like it. Alex chastized herself for being so uncertain, especially in the face of Kenth, when he had been more than accomodating to her.
In a more typical Alex fashion, the woman moved to the bed and very carefully sat next to the doctor, trying not to disturb him or otherwise irk him. One scarred hand gently curled into his, leaning down to kiss the man on his brow. She pulled back a little, smiling as she used her other hand to remove his glasses. He wouldn't need those while he slept, now would he?
Alex stretched to put the glasses away from the bed, not wanting them to be crushed, before returning to her position and looking down at him. That was a huge mistake; she found herself back in the same position she was when she had awakened him on his desk, staring with open affection and adoration, her throat tight with the sudden surge of confusing thoughts and feelings. Perhaps it was because he had showed her kindness, or perhaps it had been there all along, but the woman felt a strong desire to curl up with him, to kiss him, to...
Her free hand moved slowly to his hair, as if drawn against her will, brushing a few silver strands from his face. He was asleep already...poor man. With a faint, wistful smile, Alex brushed her lips over his in a quick, stolen kiss, moving quietly off the bed. With great gentleness, she manuvered the sleeping man further onto his bed, rather than draped over it, tucking pillows by his head.
With one last fond glance, Alex left his room, smiling all the while.
