Sakasagami no Yura Blinking Rune I wonder. I thought killing in self-defense was legal. Hmm... Case 2-2, plead self-defense Phoenix: (If Maya is convicted, then it's all over.) Phoenix: (I really should play it safe, and try to soften the blow...) ...Okay, maybe it is. It's not necessarily "legal"...it really depends on the circumstances. With Maya, it's the idea that Nick couldn't believe she'd be guilty of anything, not even self-defence. Because who'd trust the Kurain Channeling Technique if it was "used" to murder someone? Her and her familie's reputation would be shredded.

My top three:
1) Turnabout Goodbyes (1-4). Edgeworth had been an absolute d**k to Wright for the entire game, and now you suddenly find out why he's like how he is. Every single damn night he has a dream where he murders his father...and he's not all convinced that it's "just a dream". The line when he reveals this almost makes me cry: "That thought is the only thing that's kept me sane for fifteen years." This case is what made his "suicide" so much easier to believe, as people could see why he "did it". If you think about it, he could easily have killed himself at some point, but he didn't. Sob.
2) Farewell, My Turnabout (2-4). It's the kind of situation none of us could possibly imagine: Your morals or you friends? Which is more important to you? That Nick had to do this is heart-rending in itself, especially since you genuinely think Matt's innocent for a while. No, actually he's guilty as sin and he KNOWS that you have to do what he says. The bit where you're stalling for time, and the audience are yelling at you just crushes me, especially when Nick has to tell himself it's the right thing to do (Maya...I'm doing this for Maya...). There are so many bits when everything seems absolutely hopeless, and Nick's pain is all too clear.
3) Turnabout Ablaze (5-5). This case was tragic to me because I really sympathised with a certain Agent Lang throughout. Yes, he's a badass, we know. But it's still got to be tough to stand there and hear some guy accuse one of your subordinates - someone you see as family - of murder and of being a double agent...and then having to hear them prove it. I teared up when, during Shih-na's testimony, he actaully asks her to prove that she's someone he can still trust - the way I pictured him saying it broke my heart, almost. And he still took a bullet for her, because traitor or not, she's still "his sister". What a guy.
