The term witch has been around far longer than the hollywood influence. Most of the Wiccans and Pagans I know don't mind being called a witch because people better understand that term. It's true that the media has portrayed a really skewed view of witchcraft. I find that the term 'wicca' has much more media-skewed connotations than then 'witch' does.

Sabbats are the seasonal fesitvals of the year. The Wiccan year begins with Samhain (around the same time as Halloween). So if you start with Samhain the order of the festivals goes: Samhain, Yule, Imbolc, Ostara (Spring Equinox), Beltane, Midsummer (Summer Solstice), Lammas, Mabon (Fall Equinox)
These are the major points in the year.

Esbats are celebrated on a more personal level. Not all Wiccans or Pagans do anything of any note on them. Esbats are just the Full Moons. There are 13 a year.

It would be interesting, and if I knew for a fact that it worked, I would probably be all over it.
