Quote: According to the Bible, Chi, since it is not a tool of God, is a tool of Satan, so yea, it is bad. Chi/Ki is not bad, the words just mean energy. It exists in us all. We use it to live. If we had no Chi we would be dead or a blob of flesh. Chi is given out by the soul. That’s why our brains work and we can move. If you sit down and just think about it running through your body you can actually feel it. It’s in plants and animals too. It’s just a word for energy 3nodding . We all have energy. So nothing bad about it. Just some ppl can use it better than others. Like in Asian cultures. They sit down and in tune with it. It’s not magic it's just us. We can do lot's of things if we try whee . We only use a tiny bit of our brains anyways. What would it be like if we could use all of it eek ?

How many of these are on the net?!
Harry Potter is a work of FICTION! FANTASY! As long as you know that this is fake, its not right, and you dont try to practice it God is NOT going to send you to hell. As long as you know its just a book and dont take it seriously, theres nothing wrong with liking the books.

newsgirl3664 I must admit, I have read the books and I enjoyed them, but I won't say anything more to defent them. It is very sad, because my friend's older sister started using witchcraft because of these books and I decided I didn't want to read them anymore after I heard this. I've realized using evil for good is wrong , and witchcraft is evil. Why is it evil? It turns us away from god, and anything that turns us away from god is evil. Though J. K. Rowling probably didn't intend this, these books can encourage use of witchcraft. That is my opinion. 3nodding My friends wanted to pretend to be witches. Like they were making out lists and a bunch of other crap, this was like in 5th grade too. I played with them, just thinking it was another game, but they were really obsessed with it

Weirdo55 In my opinion she is just like any good author out there, she came up with a good idea for a book series, and she gave it an edge to make it even better, and it worked. I'm in the opinion that her books are pure fantasy. I am a devout Christian, (not the religious type, simply one who believes in having a relationship with Christ) and I read the book, and enjoyed them, I've even read them all 3 or four times. I've heard speakers go on four hours about how JK is "Satan's Messenger" and reading the books makes you pagan, I've never heard anyone say a thing about LotR and Narnia (someone said this earlier) , because the authors were Christian (they were slightly more on the religious side than I) . I've heard speakers defend them by saying that their books where written to make a moral point, and it's ok that Gandalf is a good wizard, and the The Magician in The Chronicles of Narnia (that boys uncle, can't remember the name) is using magic, because it comes out to have a moral at the end! But anyone that can honestly say that Harry Potter doesn't have a moral is amazingly wrong! It does, good always wins, and even thought sometimes Harry has to use less than perfect ways, he always has integrity! I agree totally dude! 3nodding I too have read the books, but that does not change my views on magic or anything else relating to God and the Bible (the written Word of God, no less), for that matter. And I am a Christian, just as you are.

Example: changeing a staff to a snake; God gave them the power to do it, but not the socerers, yet the socerers still had the power to do so. The socerers got their power from another source, if it wasn't God who then? As for how the word tool is being used here, I'm pretty sure it means more in a supernateral since.

when reading books like HP and other books containing the use of magic.... know that it's FANTASY !!! just don't take it seriously and think of it as entertainment. Know that magic exists, that magic is evil and that you can't use an evil thing to do good biggrin but it's up to each person to think if they (with the help of God) can make that difference between right and wrong and fiction and reality....

Axel of Anime I'm not saying this is true, and this is just something the crazy kids at my school said, but they say J.K. think that Satan will kill God. Just typing that makes me feel weird. Creepy.... Wow thats heavy, but the devil has no power in heaven. p.s. Those kids should put thier belief in something better stare

pepperann18027 I think It's up to each person what they chose to read or not read. Yes this is true. I know that if a child watches a superhero movie they may believe that they can have super hero powers too. But these books are just books. I mean at my school people tell us to read, read, read! Now they are telling us reading is bad((well Harry Potter books I mean))They change opinions quickly sweatdrop
