Hayden could feel the light pinpricks of claws against his arm, though they didn't pierce the flesh, so he was fine for now. He'd had to gingerly remove those same claws from his uniform before and he'd gotten a good look at them, realizing just how dangerous they could be.
His mind was on the screams now, however. Heading down the hall, his worry grew, especially noting the room numbers...
No...please no...
Hesitantly, fearing the answer, he called out as they got closer, "Anya? Is that....is that you? Are you alright?"
Please let me be wrong...

Anya had been trying to use the exta bandages she had been given to take care of her leg and dropped the ball of gauze when she herd a fimiliar voice.
"Mr lion" she called out leaveing the bed were she had been covering her wound. to the door opening it wide to see her friend holding the green creature. "Umm the green thing is not going to hurt me again or did you bring it hear to apoligize about biting me?"
Ginny POV
Why was the male being me back to the room or maybe he wanted to show me to his mate but then if he shows me off will they do that and then he will not take me outside. *her heart beat quickened as she started to worry that her plan was going wrong*

Hayden's heart fell at the response and he hurried into Anya's room. "No, the green thing isn't going to hurt you again, Anya....I promise..." He set the creature on a nearby chair without a second thought, then hurried to shuffle Anya back to sit on the bed. "Let's take care of that ankle quickly..."
Satisfied when she was sitting comfortably again, the guard hurried to wet a towel and bring it back, kneeling on the floor to begin cleaning the wound. He pulled away the loose, haphazard bandages, setting them aside to rewrap her ankle in a moment. "Hold on, okay? This might hurt a bit, but we have to clean your ankle first before bandaging it..."
Gingerly, he began washing the blood away and cleaning the wounded area. After a few moments, he deemed the spot clean enough to bandage for now. "I'll bring some antibiotic cream and better bandages for this later. For now, let's just get it covered up." He started wrapping the bandages around her ankle, completely forgetting about the green creature on the chair only feet away.

I was put on a chair as he took care of the female. it was like he did not trust her to take care of her self or maybe he was washing her feet or rubbing them. either way it looked weird from my view point. and I wanted a better view so I jumped off the chair and moved twords the man and jumped on to his back letting my claws dig in to the fabric befor I started to climb up till I got to his sholder it was the prefect view point the male was takeing care of the females wound.
Anya POV
Grimising as hayden removed the bandage that she ahd thought she had done so well watched him clean it that hurt but she would be stong and not yell out but closed her eyes. "So did the green thing attack you also Mr lion or did you catch it?" opeing her eyes she let out a surpised yelp as she saw ginny on haydens sholder.
" MR lion the green thing is on your sholder."

Grunting at the sudden, unexpected weight, even if it wasn't much, Hayden cringed before continuing his work. "A little of both, I'm thinking actually, Anya..." He sighed, wrapping her ankle the best he could. "Yes, so I noticed, Anya...try not to worry or get upset, okay?"
He had no idea why he wasn't more worried or upset himself regarding the strange cretaure. Maybe he simply had too much else on his mind to worry about. He certainly seemed preoccupied where Anya was concerned.
Who knew?
The walkie talkie at his waist crackled to life, another voice coming through the speaker this time.
"Subject is still on the loose. Expand the search immediately! Dr. Hakan's orders are to find and recapture the creature as soon as possible!"
Dr. Hakan, hmm? Well...that explains a lot...sheds some light on things too...

Anya nooded "I think it is scared Mr lion I think I scared it and umm it reacted the only way it knew to react." she scrached her head and smiled. "it is not a bad Green bunny just lost and scared and alone." not knowing how true her statment was. Though she jumped at the sound of the radio.
"Mr lion are they looking for some one because the voice wounded angrey."
Ginny POV
Watching with intrest I wated the male and how he and female treated each other like they were friends not mates. May be she is not his mate may be they are good friends and he worried about her. Blinking my blood red eyes I looked at the red haired female she was talking and then a sound scared me I trnsed up and dug my claws in to the mans sholder. I knew it was for me they were trying to get me and lock me up again and then i would never get to see the thing called the sky and what grass looked like.

Wincing, Hayden hissed softly at the pain, controlling the instinct to lash out. "Probably so, Anya. And you can't blame someone who's scared for doing whatever they feel they have to in order to try and survive...desperate people will take desperate measures..." He says this oddly, eyes blurring out of focus for a second as if speaking of more than just the green bunny on his shoulder.
After a moment, his vision clears and he turns to look at the rabbit, reaching up without fear to pick her up by the scruff of her neck. "Alright, you...that hurts. Now stop it." Gingerly pulling her claws free of both his skin and uniform, he frowns and holds her out in mid-air to look at her.
"They're looking for you, you know." He speaks as if directly to the green creature. She had to be a Pokemon of some sort, right? She looked much like a Buneary...though he had to admit, he'd never seen a green one before. Hayden wasn't one to look down on the intelligence of Pokemon, like some in the lab, either. He believed that they understood human speech even if they couldn't answer in kind. Afterall, how else would Pokemon understand their trainer's instructions? It only made sense.
"And while I'm expected to follow those orders around here...I'm not exactly fond of some of them. Especially not when certain people are concerned..." he trailed off, hinting at Dr. Hakan, but not willing to blow his cover completely, not even in front of Anya.
"The question is...what am I supposed to do with you now? I can't just let you run loose...someone else will find you and turn you in..."

he grabbe me by my neck I can not beleve that he did that to me. I tried to fight it at fist but he is bigger than me and he is holding me in such a way that i can not attack him I retracted my claws and showed him that my paws were safe. I nooded softly befor I felt so sad and alone in the cage.
I nooded knowing they were looking for me I ran from them though I looked at him I think there were tears in my ruby red eyes. Please do not take me back to that cage. I wispered to them and then I herd the best thing he was trying to say he would not send me back there I did not want that ever.
I wish i could tell him to let me go but he was right then some one else could find me may be I could bite the Hakan guy and then he would let me go or may be tou could take me outside. and I will stay there.

Red eyes met slate and the guard sighed softly. Whether human or Pokemon, some things knew no species barrier. Sadness and fear were only two of those things, but they were more than enough to tug at the guard's heartstrings.
Odd to think he saw so much of himself in the creature's eyes.
"Everyone deserves at least a small chance for redemption, right?" It was hard to tell if he was talking to the rabbit or to himself.
"Alright, come on. Anya? You stay here and stay off that ankle for a while. Let it heal. I'll be back to check on you later. Little bunny? Let's see if we can get you out of here."
Tucking the creature under his arm again, Hayden set off into the hallway after a cautionary glance around. The coast was clear and he set out with a determined stride, muttering softly to himself.
"Wonder if you're small enough to fit through the fence...?"

As I stared in to his eyes I saw grey almost like stones but different there was some thing about him that made me think he was like me he had felt the things I felt we were almos the same but he was human and I am what am I.
Anya spoke up.
"Mr lion I think I will call it a Grunny." she said with a smile. "It is green and looks like a bunny so Grunny I will stay off it Mr lion and you be carful of the flying monkies and the white coats they are meanwe than our friend Grunny." she smiled and waved as they left.
Ginny POV
Grunny she called me a Grunny that girl must me mad but the human male he seemes all there and I nooded when he said that all creatures should have a second chance. I think the human should have a second one also. I did not stugle as he but me back in to the crook of his arm I stayed here and watched as the male cautiusly left the room and ented the hall.
Sniffing I did not smell anyone though there was a saint very faint smell of a human one that i had smelled before but that was a long time ago. then I herd him speak and I looked up at the human and wondered what a fence was.

Hayden shook his head slightly in amusement as the door closed behind him and he left Anya's room behind. "She's a good kid," he muttered, partially to himself, partially to the creature. "A little quirky sometimes, but a good kid." He chuckled softly, still striding down the hallway with the green lapine under his arm.
All seemed to be going well enough...until footsteps echoed down the hallway from somewhere behind the two. Cursing softly under his breath, Hayden jogged forward and slipped around a corner out of sight, mind racing as he scanned the numbers on the doors. Spotting a room he was sure was empty, he slid the door open and placed the green bunny inside on the floor. "Just stay here and stay quiet, okay? I'll get rid of the others, then come back to get you. Promise."
With that, Hayden slipped out again, shutting the door behind him. Muffled by the door, a voice was heard calling out, "Rutherford! You get the alert!?"

looking up at the male I felt like I could agree with him yeah the female was crazy calling me a Grunny but she was good and smelled ok I guess she was not that bad not like the other females I had met they were mean and bad though some were nice.
As I was carried I noticed that the place was like a maze every wall looked the same how did the male know were he was going. and then I herd it the sound of feet I could not see how many there were but it sounded bad the males heart was speeding up and he was moving faster. I could not tell were we went but he opened a door and put me on the floor.
he spoke to me I understood what he said Me quiet that part was easy and how was I sopposed to leave this room the thing to open it was way up there. I had to trust him he was the first person who I truested for we are so alike. I touched my head to the door just to see if it would move nosuch luck and the door was cool the air int he room seemed stale. It was a dark room and as my eyes got used to it I saw a strange pile I moved twords it. It did not seem to move at all so I touched it with my paw it seemed soft and but then it was just floating there it was weird but then I realised there must have been a thing like that on witch the girl was sitting that ment it was ok. befor I could exsamen it more there was a sound in the hall I wondered if the male was back but then it may be some one else I backed up near the back of the bed whaiting to see who it was ready to strike if the person was not my friend.

"Of course I got it! The whole damn compound got the alert!" Hayden's muffled reply snapped from behind the door, aimed at the incoming guards as he hoped to hurry up and get rid of them so he could get back inside...
"Well, good. Then I don't have to fill you in. Go with Jones and check the next corridor. I need to check in with the other squads, then I'll be back."
"But..."
"Now, Rutherford!"
Hayden shot a brief glare at the back of the squad leader's head as he stalked off. The other guard was already heading off, following orders like a good little lackey. Hayden was hesitant, looking back at the room he'd just left...
"Something up, Rutherford? You coming or not?"
"No, nothing. Coming..."
Reluctantly, Hayden pulled himself away from the room, saying a quick prayer that no one would try to go inside before he could get back...

Unfortunately, Fate is not kind...especially when she plays cards on the weekends with the irony gods. The hallway had been quiet for only a few minutes when someone approached the door, muttering to himself.
"Ah, here we go. 'Female Meowth...delivered sedated...very unusual coloration...' This should be an interesting one."
Dr. Carl Hakan fingered the syringe in his pocket as he casually opened the door and entered the room, expecting to find an unconscious, sedated Pokemon within.

I looked around because I herd some people talking the male seemed to be unhappy i could not tell what they said but I felt bad the male was protecting me may be I could defend him. though my thoughts were cut off when I herd the sound of one person leaveing and then the second. the male with the kind eyes was going to leave me here or may be he wated to see if it was safe befor getting me again that must be it.
I waited there I was scared it seemed like forever I had started to look around the room it seemed to be very empy though I could not look it over long. I herd more steps heading this way. may be it was the Male with the grey eyes going too help me outside to the grass and sky and the thing they call trees though I still do not think they exsist. though these steps were different they were more confedent. I thought I herd these befor they ment bad news. I got ready to pounce and attack the person who entered the room.
And then I saw it his white coat I could smell the scent that was around most of the scienst who worked here. I shot up and attacked him my teeth sunk in to his soft flesh my eyes glaring at him I could taste the blood in my mouth I was not going to let go because for once I was going to get my revenge for all the times they had hurt me and poked me.

Not expecting any movement from inside the room, Dr. Hakan's hand was halfway to the light switch when the creature attacked. A shout of surprise and pain answered the assault, and he looked down with a snarl. The light from the hallway was enough to see a small form latched onto his thigh, though he could have figured that much from the sudden, immense pain radiating from there, the creature's teeth embedded deep in his flesh.
"'Sedated' my a**..." he muttered, hand in his pocket tightening around the syringe as he withdrew it. With expertise born from practice, he popped the cap off the needle with his teeth, then stabbed the beast in the flank, emptying the entire syringe in seconds. There should be enough sedatives added in there to knock it out for sure. Then, he'd consider doing the same to whoever was responsible for this screw-up.
