Skye turned at the touch and smiled up at Lore. "Hi, Papa," she giggled, her blue wings fluttering excitedly. "We go find people, right?"
Then she saw that there was someone already with them. Her eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't felt a thing!
"Who that?" she asked Lore, pointing at the woman. Elnara smiled at Tinúviel. "Yes," she nodded. "And you, then, are Tinúviel, Ruel's ... third? How many more of you are there?" Hmm ... that didn't sound quite right. "I mean," she amended, "how many other nephews and nieces do I have that I don't know about?"

Tinúviel's eyes lit up, and she laughed softly to herself. "After all this time," she murmured quietly. "So long ... and this is your family then ... except for Lin of course ..."
She laughed again and started walking forward, linking arms with Elnara to usher them all through the labyrinth together.
"Let's find Ninako first," she smiled warmly, her eyes sparkling mischievously as Elnara remembered Daeron's doing when he was younger, "and then we'll get everything sorted out."
It was too bad really that she couldn't take them all through the walls with her, it would have saved them quite a bit of time.
"You've just missed lunch," she informed them all brightly. "But if you need to eat we can get something for you." She giggled then like a child. "Ninako will be so pleased!"

Lin hurried so she would not be left behind, besides she had questions of her own, and no she was not hungry at the moment. Though she did hope to have a meal with Sir Valdemar again like last time.
"Is Earendil still here? Is he up training again?"
She didn't know how long it had been since the last visit after all.

Lore followed as he took Skye's hand so she wouldn't be left behind if there was some change she didn't hear about.
"That would be.... your, cousin I believe," he murmured softly.
At least that was what he gathered from the conversation.

Skye walked close to Lore and stared at her newly proclaimed cousin.
"Oh," she murmured thoughtfully. Then she looked up at Lore. "Big cousin," she commented. And it was true, all of her cousins back home were the same size as Lin. "Look at all the threads," Storm whispered to Starr, looking around, his eyes filled with awe.Starr nodded her agreement. "I think it's because of all the fire down here," she pointed at the torches that lit the corridors. "But we can't play with them, remember? We promised Grandma and Mama!"Storm nodded. He remembered. If they played with the threads without permission, they would have to go back home right away. He looked around and beckoned for Lin to join him and Starr as they walked.Elnara could hardly believe what she was seeing. This girl, who hadn't even been born the last time Elnara had been there (a mere eleven months ago!) was nearly a full foot taller than she was! She was just like her brothers, though - or what Elnara could remember of them - excitable, talkative, and - best of all - accepting. She hoped. "You called me Nako earlier," she commented. "Have you seen her, then?"

"Only once," Tinúviel admitted reluctantly, some of her enthusiasm dying. "It was a long time ago ... the first time Lin came here. I didn't see Lin that time, though. But I got into so much trouble when I got home ... Ada won't let me go again, and for once Nana agrees with him."
She frowned. "I suppose I can understand why, but ... I want to see her again."

Lin caught up with Storm and Starr, a bit disappointed that her questions weren't answered, but she supposed that Elnara's were more important than hers. She had only met Serenity very briefy, for dinners and things like that. It sounded odd to her that Elnara's mom didn't live with eveyrone else like her mommy did.

Lore chuckled a bit, "Yes, very much so," he agreed.
Though he knew that was about average height for most elves, at least the ones he and Elnara were familiar with.

It didn't seem long before they were finally out of the labyrinth, and by the time they were, Elnara was feeling comfortable with her niece. However, at the sight of the enormous oak doors that she knew led to her grandmother's study, she felt her anxiety returning, and she swallowed nervously.
She looked around and reached for Lore's hand once more, again searching for some comfort.

Tinúviel opened the door for them and smiled, beckoning for all of them go to in.
"It's all right," she said softly, smiling reassuringly. "Ninako's not working in there today, you won't be interrupting."
She honestly hadn't meant to misinterpret her aunt's expression, but it was the first thing that sprang to mind.
She beckoned for all of them to pass through the doors.

Lin scurried on through eager to say she was back so she could get on with getting her room and (more importantly) getting to find all her favourite people. Maybe drop by to see if that guard was still there (who knows maybe he was switched to a different place, having to look after the same place had to be boring).

Lore let Idhril sit on his shoulder so he could take her mother's hand once more. He himself was feeling a tad uncomfortable in this place, but it was more for the reason that it was far too grand. Much more than what he was use to, but for Elnara's sake he put on a strong stance. It was just grandness, castles he told himself were suppose to be grand.

Tinúviel spoke to a wide-eyed guard, who bowed and left the room quickly, then turned back to the others and smiled.
"He's going to get Ninako," she explained cheerfully. "It's easier to have her come here than go searching for her. I have no idea where she is at the moment, I've been down in the labyrinth for a while now."
She shrugged. "Besides, it's cooler down there."
It was the height of summer here now, and even though there were fiery torches ever few feet on both sides of the walls in the labyrinth, it was still cooler down there than up in the heat of the desert sun.

Elnara smiled. Yes, she did want to see her grandmother first. She looked to Lore and saw something - discomfort? - flickering in his eyes. She gave his hand a squeeze and smiled at him reassuringly. "You look about as comfortable as I was when I first came to live here," she murmured softly to him. "I hated it." She laughed softly. Celebor, as curious as ever, was already poking through the stuff that was laying around: books, papers, and maps, for the most part. He grinned to himself, eager to learn what it all meant.Silvrendir wandered up to Lin and poked her arm to get her attention.
"How many times were you here before?" he asked her in his soft-spoken voice. His bright green eyes were filled with curiosity. He wanted to know more about this place and, unfortunately, he hadn't heard much about it at all - being so young and all.Skye wandered up to her cousin, trying for the first time since their arrival to speak with her.
"Skye," she said first, pointing to herself by way of introduction. She spread her dark wings then folded them again, then smiled up at her cousin and pointed up at her. "What you name?"
No, that wasn't right.
"Your name," she corrected herself, smiling again.

"Twice," Lin held up two fingers to show Silvrendir, "But the second time I could only stay till dinner time, then I had to go home," she explained.
She was so tired by then she took a nap and missed her own dinner now that she thought about it, but it was such a good climb, maybe she would get further this time.
