Mine was a piece of crap Robson package that came with an amp, a strap, and an instructional CD. My dad bought it for me, and it got me started on playing guitar.

I have a Epiphone SG Special as my starter. I'm still playing on it. It may seem crappy for it's price of $149.99, sweatdrop but it's under-priced. My Grandfather is a pro guitarist. He has a Gibson L5 that i want (he has many more), and he thinks it a good guitar.

My first guitar was.. hmm. I guess you can say i was lucky. My frist guitar was an old gibson acustic, really nice, and then after that an old gibson ES-335 from the 60s. (after that a tele)
all from my father who passed when i was 4, so i got his guitars. I still play them today.

First guitar was an Ibanez ARC-100 it's nothing special, but I still have it, and i'm never going to get rid of it. I hate when people put guitars on walls and never play them, but it's my wall guitar now that I have an Epiphone G-400. It's going to stay that way, and if it ever got stolen or broken, I would probably kill somebody.
