Akiko shook her head at Naomi, "I don't know. It could be some kids messing with us," Akiko then gulped, "or it may not." Akiko didn't want to say anyother possibilities. "Naomi, what if it's not safe?" she asked. She didn't mind a playful joke, but she didn't want to be there if it was serious.
"Why don't we step outside for a second and get some air?" Ryou suggedted, hoping the anxiety of the group would lessen if they were outside. He walked up to the door which they entered. He turned and went to pull it open, but to no avail. "What the...... it's locked!" Ryou said worringly. He shook it a bit then tried to open, but still nothing. "Did..... did anybody lock this?" he asked.
Jonouchi's eyes widened a bit, "L-locked?! We can't be locked in!" Now he was a little freaked out as well. It just got weirder and weirder.

Naomi put the book back on the shelf and when over to Akiko. What if this was dangerous? She wanted to say something to at least lessen the stress that was building up in the room. However, this was cut off when Ryou couldn’t get the door open. “Locked? How in the hell is it locked?” Naomi asked, a bit freaked and curious at the same time. For one thing none of them had a key and the door obviously wasn’t stuck. “Yuugi, try opening a window. If we can’t get out through the door, we’ll go off road.” she said.
Yuugi, who happened to be the closest one a window, nodded and went over to it. He’d been worried when he heard the stomping upstairs but the door being mysteriously locked made it go past worry. He didn’t like this, not at all. But maybe if they couldn’t get out the door, the window would work. Yuugi went to open the window but, just as his hands was about to touch the pane, colored sparks flew and it sent electric shocks up his arms. Yuugi cried out from both shock and pain before being thrown back.

Akiko watched as Yuugi approached the window. She heard the crack of electricity, as well as saw the spark, when Yuugi neared his hand to the window. Her mind only put the two together when she saw Yuugi fly back. "Yuugi-san!" she yelped in fear as she ran up to him. She nearly slid down to her knees to be next to him. "Yuugi! Are you ok?! Oh my god..." she said. She saw his arms shaking and put her hands on them to make them stop.
"Yuugi!" Ryou said in shock as well. He quickly looked at the door nob and released his grip from it- in fear of being electricuted. He stepped away from the door. Naomi was behind him, so as he stepped back he raised his arm up ae if to sheil her and to have her walk back with him. "I don't think somebody wants us to leave," Ryou said- hating to have to bare bad news.
Jonouch also ran up to Yuugi, "Yug! You ok!?" He knew it sounded like a stupid thing to ask, being he was just shocked, but it's one of those automatic messages that just come out. You just want to know if that person is ok.

Yuugi didn’t answer for a couple of minutes, still getting over the shock. His arms were shaking uncontrollably but seemed to slow down when Akiko put her hands on them. He caught his breath and nodded. “Y-Yeah... I’m fine.” He looked at from Jounochi to Akiko, managing to smile a little. His hands still ached from the shock but he ignored it.
Naomi was shocked when Yuugi was electrocuted but was a bit relieved when he said he was okay. She backed up with Ryou, seeing that he was kind of warning her to stay away from the door. Obviously the walls and door. She looked worried, a bit more than before. “What psycho would do this? And why keep us?” She questioned.

Akiko gave back a smile, but was still extremely worried. She had to make sure he was ok- that meant a few questions and rasks. She was trained a bit in the medical field- and that was her career of choice. She moved her hands to his hands, "I want you to squeeze my hands and then move your fingers." She took her other hand and pinched his arms slightly down to up. "Can you feel this?" she asked. She asked one last thing, "Can you breath normally?"
Jonouchi nodded, "Ok buddy." He then clinched his fists and replied to Naomi, "I don't know, but when I find the b*****d I'm going to beat his a**." He walked up to them and looked around. "We're stuck in here now. We have to look out fot one another and get out of this psychotic place," he said.
Ryou shook his head, "I don't know why they would do this to us. We all decided to come here. Nobody else knew." Ryou nodded at Jonouchi, but backed away from him slightly. "Yes, we have to watch each other and find a way out," he said.

Yuugi wondered what she was doing when she took his hands. Then it turned out she was just checking to make sure he was okay. Besides the slight numbness in his hands, he was okay. He gently squeezed her hands, partly from the fact they were numb and the other was... well he wasn’t sure what the other was. He did manage to move each of his fingers. “Ow – yeah I can feel that.” He said when she pinched a little hard on his arm. He nodded to the last question then asked, “Where did you learn this?”
That’s what confused Naomi – how did the guy know they’d be here? They never told anyone of their plan and besides that, who would waste their time trying to trap them in the house? And if the walls and doors were all under current than how were they going to get out without getting shocked? “Chill dude.” She said to Jounochi but did agree with him. “Maybe we should have a look around... see if we can find another way out?” She suggested.

Akiko smiled in relief. "I'm going to be a nurse when I'm older. I already did a small internship about two years ago," she said in a calmer voice then usual. She never really told anybody that, maybe because it never crossed her mind to bring it up in conversation. She held his hands again to look at them. "No burns, your lucky....." Akiko said in relief. As far as she knew, he was ok. Her heart was still racing, but she felt better. Her heart nearly dropped to her stomach when she saw it.
Ryou nodded, "I agree. We can't just stay here. We need to get out some how." Ryou then looked at her, "But we shouldn't split up. We're much stronger in numbers." His main reason was which he stated, they were safer all together. However, he didn't want to leave Naomi alone. He couldn't fend for himself, but he would to protect her. Reasons for that he couldn't think of- worriedness clouded those questions.
"Maybe there's something here we can use. You know, to help get us out," Jonouchi added as he agreed. He looked back at Akiko and Yuugi. "Are you ok to move? We've decided to try to find another way out," he said.

A nurse... That would be a good profession and he thought she’d be really good at it. The numbness in his hands was now fading – he guessed his nerves got over the fact he’d been shocked. “Yeah... well I think you’ll be great at it.” He smiled then looked at Jounochi and nodded. He took one of his hands out of Akiko but let the other remain to help her up. “All right,”
“Shoot – do you think anyone of us is about to go walking through this house alone?” Naomi asked, looking at Ryou. “I most certainly am not.” She wasn’t scared of many things but being alone in a creepy house with a potential psychopath did make her not want to be alone. She looked around the room to see if there was anything they could use.
((Hey – when will the whole ‘yami splits from hikari’ thing happen? Any ideas?))

Akiko let Yuugi help her up. "Thanks," she said with her usual smile rather then the soft one. She patted her hand on his shoulder lightly and said, "You're going to be ok." Akiko could sometimes act strangely gentle- probably because of her career choice. But usually she was just a fun person. Though she was back to this, she was still completely scared. "Yea, let's look around," she said.
Jonouchi started to walk, he was ahead of the group. He took his stepps slowly, watching what was around him. They exited the first room into a dark hallway. He looked to his right to see a door. "Should we go in?" he asked.
Ryou walked along side Naomi. He looked on the ground to see a decently long piece of wood- maybe slightly smaller then a baseball bat. He picked it up, knowing it could be of some use. "I don't think we have a choice. We have to look around this whole place," he answered Jonouchi.

Yuugi walked with Akiko as they followed the others into the hall. Even from Naomi’s flashlight, this place was dark. He went to see the door Jounochi was talking about. “There might be a way out through there...” He said but still wasn’t sure. He wasn’t sure about this whole house.
“Yeah, I agree with them.” Naomi said, looking at the door. “Go head and open it dude. Let’s see what’s in there.” She added. She saw that Ryou had picked up something that could be used as a weapon and thought she should probably do the same. Of course, she could just use the staff part of the reaper blade to hit someone on the side of the head.

Jonouchi nodded, "Ok then." He opened the door to only see darkness. "Damn, I don't think there's any windows in this room," he said.
Ryou shimmied a bit passed Jonouchi to look on the wall close to the door. "A switch," he said as he saw one. He took the wooden stick so to flip the switch. At least if it was electrical, the wood would discharge it. A very dim light flickered and came on. "That didn't really help," he said.
Akiko stood on her tip toes to try and see- since her and Yuugi were at the back of the group. "What's in there?" she asked, mentally cursing her 5'2'' height.

Naomi turned her flashlight into the room, it lighting up the darkened spots they still couldn’t see. She looked over her shoulder at Akiko and Yuugi, seeing that they were behind them. “Mostly furniture from what I see. It looks like some kind of study room.” She cautiously walked passed the two boys into the room, only being a step ahead of them. She pointed her flashlight at all the dark corners, making sure that nothing was hiding there.
Yuugi could sort of see into the room but noted that, even with the dim light, he could barely see anything. Naomi was right – it looked like some kind of study. “We should be careful. We don’t know what’s in here.” He said as they all started going into the room.

Ryou walked with Naomi into the room. "There really isn't anything in here. Except for that closet," Ryou pointed at it. He started to walk to it, with stick in hand.
"A study huh? So it was probablt some richo snob who lived here," Jonouchi said. Then he mocked the stereotype, "Ooo, look at me. I'm so rich I have my own room for my books."
Akiko remembered she had a flaslight as well. She took it out aimed the light on the ground. She thought she saw something, so she kneeled down to look. It looked like a pattern..... a symbol perhaps. She felt it get cold, she could feel her hair standing up.

Naomi had to agree with that. There was furniture but it looked... weird. And there was a weird feeling in the room. Like they were being watched or something else was there. She looked towards Ryou as he headed for the closet. “Careful Ryou... you don’t know what’s in there.” She warned.
Yuugi looked at Jounochi, “From the size of this place, I wouldn’t be surprised. There’s no telling how much they spent building it.” He looked around the room but didn’t really see anything out of the ordinary. It seemed like your everyday, ordinary study. His attention when to the floor when Akiko moved her flashlight. It looked like a symbol. “What is that?” He asked.

Ryou's arms shook as he extended the stick to rouch the closet. He was having secound thouggts about it- taking into affect what Naomi said. He backed away from it, just to think about it. "Maybe we shouldn't," he said lowering the stick.
Akiko continued to look at the symbol. It was on the whole floor, she traced it with the flashlight. She didn't mean to ignore Yuugi, but she found herself frozen from this. "The evil eye...." she whispered, putting it together. She knew the symbol, it was the same eye on their items. She put her fingers on one of the outlines. Before she could say anything else, her body felt weak and lifeless. She fell to the ground like a rag doll. Her eyes were still open, but they slowly shut.
Jonouchi looked over when he heard the thud. "Wh-what?" he didn't compromise that she had passed out.
