i think they needed more clothes........ that's all ihave to say about them.

ok think about it, its hot, the humidity must be through the roof, and if they ware to much clothing, the monsters in golmore jungle may hear them and get them, they dress that way because of the enviorment, thats the only reason i can think of anyway

Also because the game is made mostly by guys.

If it's hot and humid, why on earth would you want to wear metal...?

I felt really bad for her in the Paramina rift, though. That must've hurt like a b***h.

Ow, yeah. Well, I'm sure it's got some padding... Like, a little... in some spots... Seriously, she wouldn't just be wearing metal underwear and everything, would she?

It could just be a cultural thing. I mean, why would people logically today wear skirts, and jewelry, and those chainy-pants, and whatever else they do?

redface I like vieras. I think they interesting and they remind me of elves, but i don't know how they walk thru some of the terrain with those "heels".

One of my dream avis is Fran. But I am usually too "shy" to walk around in my underwear, so that is why (if you see me) I'm wearing a short grey skirt.

Haha, I know this one! They actually wear the heels because of the shape of their feet; it's more awkward without them.

That sounds cute! A viera in a miniskirt...

That was one thing that never made sense to me, the heels. If I understand correctly, without heels, they'd walk on the tips of their feet (like animals) and be hunched over. So that they can walk upright (and, why would they want to, if it's not natural? I can understand the ones living outside the wood wanting to fit in more, but those living in the wood? why would they care?), they wear heels. However, if it's natural for them to crouch, shouldn't their skeletal structure show that? Our human, upright spine is (if I correctly remember) due in part to the fact that we have a heel we support ourselves on. Unless Viera have evolved to wear heels, it does not make sense.

And as for the heels themselves, huh? If you ignore the whole spine s**t, why are they wearing stilletos in a natural enviroment? Platforms, sure. They're fairly steady. But four inch stilletos? fail!viera.

I really liked viera in Tactics Advanced, however. They were less sluttily dressed (at least, they looked more concealed), and some were friendly.

I don't think I'd dislike her as much if she was actually good at anything. Unfortunately, she ain't.

Even though the Viera seemed snobbish I did like their character design (though it may resemble a playboy bunny xp ). And I have to say that out of all the FF XII characters I like Fran the most. This is just my opinion though.

ditto

yeah, she might suck if you don't give her some TLC (like upgraded gear and/or weapons), but that could be said about any of the characters. Fran was a huge asset on my team when I played the game. At first, she kept dying, but if you give her some good armor, she'll be one of the best on the team...

If you look at her stats-wise, Fran is the weakest character in your party of six. She does not, even when she's all maxed out and using super strong armour and weapons (as long as your other characters are equally maxed out and well equiped), beat in any of the characters in terms of stats. I've heard a lot of people say they like her for magic, so I'll use this as an example. Penelo has the highest magic of all your party members, and the second highest is Ashe.

Now, if you're going to say that you love to use Fran 'cause you love to stare at her half-naked body and long hair and listen to her stupid strong accent, then that's fine. But it's illogical to say that Fran is a good party member.

This comes straight out of the blue, for I have only seen pics of those playboy bunnies. No males? Goddamn, it really is game for the guys... eek

Ahem. My original what the hell moment came from name 'vieras'. That's plural, aye? In Finnish that means 'stranger' or 'guest'. Someone you don't know of. Are they some mysterious, unknown bunch of ladies with high heels that no one has ever before inside the game heard of?

Well i think the viera are the best creation (besides moogle) in FF history. Although in 12 if you leave the forest you wont be excepted back. and fran is one of my fave chracters of all, cause to me she is extremely smart, and she is freakin HOT, but she is the only one i would want to l;ook like that cuase it seperates her from the others. heart

My favorite reason for vairas are the fact that they are awlsome with statue effect magic, on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, you can take a entire army out in 53 seconds, using charm, poison and confuse. Fran is no exception. Other than that, the vaira seem pretty emotionless, (or whatever you want to call it...)
PostPosted: Thu Mar 26, 2009 6:37 pm

Come to think of it, considering the spelling and pronunciation of Mjrn, shouldn't viera be spelled vjra? Or should Mjrn be spelled Miern? Logically, I'd think the two words would have come from the same root language...

Actually if you keep fran with a bow she can be a GREAt asset to your team. Becuase the bow and arrows have the most status effects. Serious I have like one arrow for poisen one for oil and so on. Also the arrows have alot of elements like i have fire arrows thunder arrows. So if you use her right she can be a great help. From what ive seen shes a character who has some of the most stratigic value.
