(Sorry I'm late! Oh, and here's a question. Aren't those of us who play mermaids playing siblings?)
Opal practically bounced into her dorm room, looking around herself with glee. 14A was all hers, and she couldn't wait to get some more stuff.
Even though she'd been in human world for almost a year now, even the simplest of things brought her pleasure and amusement. She missed her parents terribly, and sometimes wished for a visit, but there was nothing really comparable to the land.
Tossing some of her blond hair over one shoulder, Opal pushed open a window and leaned out precariously.
"A new school year," she grinned. "I can hardly wait."

Kennedy removed his small square schedule card from his wallet, mentally ticking off the classes as he walked through the school halls, trying to envision what section they were, "Okay, Lit- good, Art- not bad, Bio- could be worse, Alchemy-Alchemy!What in green gables?" He stared speechless at the card and dragged a hand through his hair, trying to picture the teacher associated with the class and wondered why it evoked such a negative emotion from him. Probably one of those stiff prudies that made life wonderful for him last year...ah well three out of four ain't bad.
He took the first left turn, knowing that would take him to the science section of the school and his biology class. Surprisingly he stumbled unto the alchemy class instead; Kennedy had expected to find that subject in the arts section- probably sitting next to philosophy but apparently not. He took a quick peek into the class and ducked out, deciding to seek other more pleasant subjects instead.

Namine was seeing everything up close and personal for the first time. She wanted to touch everything she saw and examine it more closely. She looked around making sure no one was watching. She was warned not to act as if she'd never lived in the world above. Humans found that suspicious. Her skirts fluttered as well as the rest of her uniform. Her hair was picked up by the wind. It was such a welcome breeze. Summer was ending and fall would soon be upon us. "I wonder if it will be as beautiful as it's been described." Seeing a bench nearby she decided to sit there so that she could watch the passerbys and students as they made their way around campus.

Opal pulled back from her window, leaving it wide open as she turned to survey the plainness of her room.
"I know!" her eyes lit up, and she grinned to herself. "I'll go shopping and get some brighter things! That oughta be fun!"
Though she had her bare minimum, most of it was in colors that she identified as boring and blah. If she was going to live in this dorm for a year or so, she was determined to make the room match her personality.
Which meant finding the nearest mall, or general store, and doing some careful shopping. And possibly dragging along one of her new classmates to help her carry stuff.
And that meant finding someone. As Opal picked up her purse and tied her hair back, she wondered where would be a good place to look. After a moment of contemplation, she shrugged.
'I'll just wander the campus,' she mused. 'And talk to the first person I see. Who knows, it might work!'
She headed out of her room, and out of the building, taking a moment to revel in the wunshine, before starting her meandering.

Tomoko looked out at all the students as they listened to the dean talk. She smiled, amused. If this year was even half as exciting as the last, then she was in for one wild ride! High school students could be so overdramatic, and their teachers, herself most definitely not included, were hardly any better. As the assembly ended she spared one last mischeivous glance at the fleeing students before exiting to the hall that would take her to her "dorms". What a funny word! She giggled as she started up the hall.
Opening her door she only graced her rooms with a single short glance before moving on. Entering her bedroom she looked herself over in the mirror, relishing in her untoppable beauty before turning to her overflowing jewelry chest. She ran her fingers lovingly over the fine gold and silver (but mostly gold) framed jewels and letting the small, exquisite chains fall through her fingers like quicksilver for a couple minutes before sighing and turning to her desk to work on her lesson plan for the next day.
((Tell me if I have anything wrong! whee ))

(( well I do believe I may post now correct? >.<))
Margo brought her boxes full of books and her suitcases into the main hall. She fixed the eye patch on her eye and recollected a past event quite quickly she knew this was a new life she was starting so she quickly tried to forget her thought. Margo stared in awe at the luxury of the building she may have grown up in a wealthy family but she grew up very humbly. To break the small silence that surrounded her she whispered " My, My what a palace" she smiled as her voice pierced through the uncomfortable silence she was reluctant to go into her room, since she had arrived a bit late she had not yet time to learn the school's customs. Margo could just imagine the plethora of faces she would be seeing, she felt like a little girl on Christmas eve staring at the luminous gifts under the tree waiting just waiting for her mother to say she can open them. Turning and grabbing her items Margo took on the dangerous task of reading while walking, a bad idea because when margo was involved in studies her mind went as far as Japan to Austria.
Margo stumbled a bit until she finally got the hang of walking the halls. She was in search of her room and wouldn't stop until she found it...or until she hit a wall.

Kennedy exited the last of his classrooms with a satisfied smile and tucked his wallet back into his pocket. With the exception of Alchemy, he could almost find himself anticipating-even preparing to participate in his classes this academic year. The unwonted thought almost made him break in a cold sweat. Considering all he'd gone through over the break, the counseling and preparatory classes, homework and long winded talks with his father, followed by more lengthy admonishments from his mother, he wouldn't be surprised if something was rubbing off on him.
Okay he could spare more time for school work this year but there was no way he'd let them spoil his fun...Kennedy rounded the corner into an already occupied corridor and one glance at the girl walking towards him, nose buried in her book while tackling the task of navigating, as well as ferrying her luggage. This could only be a new student looking for her dorm and she was getting warm...actually any warmer and she'd stray far into the academic section of the school. Kennedy quickened his pace and stopped in front of her, gesturing to her luggage, "Hello, may I help you with some of that?" He grinned and gestured with a shoulder behind him, " I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're a new student and you're trying to find your way. Feel free to correct me at any time but you're almost to the end of the dorm line."

((sorry for the long wait...I've been busy with my school life, and haven't been on gaia for days...))
Star nimbly stepped from the ocean, and glanced around. Men, women, children. They were facinating. How they moved without fins, or currents in the water. How they...walked. Star looked down at her bottom half, expecting to see a tail fin, but actually saw two long, slinder legs. With feet of course. Star smiled brightly at this, and started walking towards where she was supposed to be, the school. Once she got to the street, Star met her escort. He was aparently a mermaid, she was guessing, because he made her pull down her sweater sleeve to cover her muse tattoo, which was on her wrist. And also in the shape of a star. Ha. a star, like her name.
Upon arriving at the school, star gaped. it was beautiful, and so...airy. if that was a word. There was no mud, or shells. Just, brick, and wood. And...what was that word again? oh, pavement.
Star was taken to her dorm, and shown her suitcases, recieved the briefing about her bank account. Star realized it was exactly the same as the ones down below. Thank goodness for that.
She first thought of finding her classes, but then decided to visit one of her favourite rooms back home. The library. Now, Star had heard that this library is awesome, and also facinating. She quickly found it, given her great sense of direction, and stared magically at it.
"This place is fantastic!" Star said, letting the small whisper escape her lips.

" What?" Margoritte said with a bit of shock as she noticed what she had done and where she was " Oh pardon, pardon monseiur!" she giggled a bit and closed her book laying it on one of her boxes " I'm so very sorry I was looking for my dormitory and I guess I must've fallen into my reading again and walked a bit too far off.." she straightened her posture a bit and gave a proper greeting. " Madame Margoritte Lafonette at your service, I am the new philosophy and English literature teacher at the school." she curtsied a bit and smiled, she always loved new faces. " Some help with this luggage would be wonderful thank you,Merci oh my I didn't catch your name.." as she said this she laid a hand softly over her mouth in embarrassment.

Kennedy blinked once, twice, his feet coming alive and taking two baby steps away from the...teacher. Teacher! he'd mistaken a teacher-his teacher! Ah gads could this possibly get any worse? Already he could imagine vendetta motivated detentions and extra homework, not to mention parent teacher conferences...all because he couldn't mind his own business. Oh well, too late now. "Madam Lafonette, welcome and yes I'd be glad to help with your luggage." Now was his time to do damage control and spin this as well as possible.
Kennedy grabbed for the heavier looking box and braced against it, already stepping in the direction of the teachers' quarters when her last statement made him turn around with a cringe. Great, give you my now so you'll be able to track me at any time.why don't I just cart myself to detention while I'm at it?. "M my name is Lawrence madame," Well it wasn't entirely a lie, he mused as he started for the main hall, Larry was the name his birth mother left tagged unto the basket he came with. Hopefully with the excitement of moving and all, she'd have forgotten all about him by the time classes officially begins...Make note to color my hair.

Roaming the halways Leon searches for his next class. Walking into an empty classroom he looks for a seat. After a couple of minutes he decided that it wasn't worth the wait to study something he already learned so he left the room and headed out the door. Looks like I have a free period. he thought while walking outside. Looking down at the ground while walking he finds an acorn. Picking it up he walks over to a tree and sits under it. Pulling a book from his bag he starts to drift off from the outside world.

Once Iona had greeted the other teachers that were in the teacher's lounge, she headed back out into the halls, Karen at her heels. Several of the girls that went to the school would stop and squeal delightly as they gave the child a hug, asking if she remembered them and the like. Iona chuckled. Karen loved the attention.
She reinspected her classrooms, and frowned upon comming to the music room. Of all things! She had forgotten to open the blinds on the windows. She must have been too focused on getting ready for the new year. She never forgot to let the sunlight in. So she quickly went to do just that.

(( Ahh! Sorry about not posting, I have exams soon and have been studying lots. have I missed anything? ))
Jamie looked at the Time and realised how long he had been sitting there. He barely jammed the books back in the right spots before dashing out the room. He burst into his Dorm and yanked out his Timetable. He scanned it and relaxed. 'Phew! Free period. Better go find some of my classmates.' Jamie packed his shoulder bag with the day's needs and left the room. He again walked out onto the field and walked around. He was rather short for his age and had to look up at people.
