Entry Eight: The Cheating Pirate
Jiro's Amusement

Dragonfly had taken Lance home for awhile, and as clingy as the boy had been earlier that day, it didn't last. He rummaged through Dragonfly's house, sword forward, saying nothing for the time being, and just getting acustomed to his new home. He was an adventuror, even Dragonfly could see that. She had watched him carefully, taking in all of the small boy's actions, before deciding to take him back to the Stationary store, and see how he interacted with other Tale's.

Lance's hand clutched Dragonfly's as he padded down the street next to Dragonfly. His red eyes took everything around him in, and a smile curled upon his lips. He slipped his hand away from Dragonfly's, and dashed forward, his tail swishing behind him. He knew where they were going, and he would lead the way.

He swung the door to the Stationary store open, sword raised before him, his red eyes gazing around the room, before he strutted into the room, and turned to await Dragonfly.

Dragonfly's eyes widenned in surprise as the boy dashed off, and she followed close in step after him, not wanting the boy to get hurt, or lost. He had only arrived in the world a short while ago, and she was shocked at his tendancies already.

Inle and Tybalt had been alone in the shop for quite some time, the former sitting in the chair she had claimed as her own reading a book while the latter was literally trying to climb the walls in an effort to reach the large, shiny pens that sat atop a high shelf. Tybalt had succeeded only in placing small holes in the wall as he attempted to use his claws to climb upwards, but to no avail; he wound up falling on his feathered behind every time. Inle had long since given up trying to get him to stop for fear that Huni would be upset at the holes, but Tybalt had long since stopped listening to anything Inle was saying.

The pirate's attention was diverted, however, as the door to the shop opened and people came in. He paused in his upward ascent to and immediately scowled at the sight of the draconic boy's wooden sword. He didn't have a sword, not even a wooden one, and the knowledge that other people did upset him to no end. His sapphire eyes remained narrowed as he visually assessed this sword-haver.

Inle glanced at the new arrivals, nodding a tacit hello to them both before returning to her book; while the sight of a dragon boy wielding a wooden sword might have been disturbing to some people, Inle had long grown accustomed to such odd sights.

Lance tilted his head as he gazed around at the curious new people. The parrot boy caught his attention the most, and his tail twisted a bit behind him.

"Hello," he said politely, dropping his sword, and bowing to both, "My name is Lance,"

Where Lance had learned to speak so fluently was beyond Dragonfly, and yet she could still hear the soft craw of his dragonic side in his almost raspy voice.

She looked over to Inle, and then to Tybalt, before looking back to Inle and smiling a bit.

"Hello Inle," she greeted, knowing the other woman from the island of Cetalu, and though they had only met breifly, she still remembered the other, "How are you?"

Vidya glared at the doorway to the study as she passed it, still a little weary of the place after it had scared her a few days ago, when she was playing Hide and Seek with Jiro. She was headed over towards one of the far shelves, partly because she had seen some stationary that was rather shiney, but mainly because she had spotted Tybalt there when she had entered the shop with Teivel. Giggling, the girl waved happily at her captain.

"Hey-lo Cap'n! Whattcha doin'?"

Her wings twitched a bit as the door opened, the blue girl turning around in an attempt to see the door...only to have a stupid table block her view. Peering around it, Vidya blinked curiously at the boy who entered, as well as the lady who came in behind him. Her face brightened, running over to the door, practically tackling Dragonfly's legs in greeting.

"Dee! Hullo! Oooh...Pretty."

Still clutching Dragonfly's leg, Vidya finally focused her full attention on the boy who looked like one of those big fire-breathing creatures she'd read about. Studying him as was her custom, she smiled brightly once she had reached her conclusion.

"Hullo! M'Viddy...an'yer green...pretty green! And wings...Viddy has wings too!"

She removed one of her hands from Dragonfly's leg to point to the wings on her head.

Inle's eyes moved once more from her book as she regarded the woman who addressed her with a questioning gaze. Crap, was she supposed to know this woman? She wasn't old enough to start losing her memory...or was she? "Uh...hi," she said, desperately trying to recall the woman's name. "I'm alright, you?"

Tybalt remained in his position a few feet above the floor, staring at the boy for a long, silent moment. "I'm Cap'n Tybalt," he said finally, a haughty, superior tone in his voice. His gaze was once more diverted at the appearance of his first mate, and his feathers smoothed. "'Hoy, Videe. There's shinies up there, 'n I'ma get 'em."

Dragonfly smiled to the small child that was gripping her leg, and couldn't help but grin proudly of her new son. She allowed Lance to introduce himself to the small girl though, and nodded her approval to signify that he should.

Lance looked over at Vidya, tilting his head a bit, his ear twitching a little, before he walked back over to Vidya and Dragonfly. He bowed before Vidya, laying his sword by his side, and gently taking Vidya's hand into his own. He didn't know where his actions were coming from, or why he was doing it. He just felt that it was what he was supposed to do.

"Hello," he greeted, on one knee before the girl, still holding her hand, and smiling softly, "I am pleased to meet you... I'm Lance,"

Green? Well. He was green, but, she was blue!

"Pretty blue," he pointed out with a smile, before stepping back, and looking back to Tybalt.

"Captain?" he repeated, blinking a bit, his red eyes focussing on Tybalt, "M'Lance..."

He was put off by the other's haughty, full of himself attitude, and it showed in his stance. His sword was clutched tightly beside him, raised slightly, and his wings flapped with a huff, before folding across his back.

Dragonfly blinked at Inle's seemingly awkward actions, but said nothing to confront it.

"That's good..." she replied, tilting her head and smiling, "I'm doing quite well. How is Marli?"

The feathers that had smoothed not a moment before ruffled once more, causing Tybalt to look like a large, angry pillow. How DARE this new guy lay a hand on HIS first mate? This would have to be rectified, and fast! He hopped down from his position on the wall, stalking over to the tiny Tales before placing himself to the side and just in front of Vidya, a wing extended as if to physically separate her and this interloper. "Aye, Cap'n," he nearly growled. "'N Videe's my firs' mate," he finished, placing a mild emphasis on "my."

Marli? Who the hell was...oh. OH. Well, that explained a lot. Inle and her shadow-self didn't speak nearly as often as they should, and she made a mental note to correct that, and soon. "She's uh...she's alright, I guess. How's...your little critter?" she said lamely.

"Shinies? Viddy saw tha shinies too! But then me see you, and then 'reen boy...so me say Hi instead!"

Vidya grinned, rather proud of herself for being so observant and polite all at the same time. Vidya was about to ask why he didn't just fly all the way up there, since he DID have working wings and all...but her question died on her lips as Lance took her hand. Blinking her white eyes, she focused both of them down on the green boy. She closed her right eye, the one with the pupil, and stared at him with her pupilless one for a moment, before opening both of them again and giggling.

"Lance. Okay. Hiya Lance! So weird."

Of course, she was referring to what he was doing right now.

The girl then squeaked as Tybalt suddenly appeared infront of her, causing Vidya to shift herself onto the balls of her sandaled feet to see over his wings. Her expression was thoroughly curious; what was so wrong with what Lance had done? She hugged other people all the time...!

Dragonfly raised an eyebrow at Inle, unable to keep herself from doing so, and feeling a bit awkward.

"Erm... Yeah. Iniko. She's. She's doing well..."

Haha. This was weird.

He was... Weird? He stepped back at the comment, feeling suddenly awkward, before Tybalt intruded between them, and he couldn't help but narrow his eyes again.

His first mate? You couldn't own a person. They had free will. Everyone had it. Wait. Shiney?

He turned his head towards where Tybalt had been climbing, and to where Vidya had mentioned seeing something shiney. The boy was obviously distracted for several moments as his gaze focused on the shiney stationary.

He turned his gaze back to Tybalt, and the grip on his sword tightened. He could already tell that he didn't like the other's attitude. Not one bit.

Another day, another visit to the Store. This was getting annoying, he felt like a toy sitting on a shelf in a toy store. Oh let's play with this one! However, today he was with akiya, so he kept his grumbling down to mental images of death by fire and other lovely things like that. When the tall Angel pushed open the door, he took quick note of who was there. The featherduster, Viddy and some green.. dragon type. Ah, so his dream hadn't been faked. The Tome had given out another Tale. Least this one looks interesting.. and smells interesting. Such a bother.

Once inside, Akiya murmured soft words into his ear and stroked his hair. The Angel had been keeping them up later to have talks about thing. Jiro still didn't like people.. especially not many of the other Tales... but he wouldn't be so easily pushed to violence. Or, well, he promised he would try. Which had to be better than nothing, right? Once on the ground, he rubbed the back of his neck, btu didn't make a go towards the group. Instead, he clung to Akiya's robe in one hand, his black glowing dragon plush in the other.

"Good afternoon." He didn't know many of the other Authors so he just kept the greeting rather simple as he went to sit in his normal spot.

She may have hugged other people all the time, but it was quite a different matter when this...this boy that Tybalt already didn't like was placing his hands on her. It was a matter of protection, as Tybalt didn't trust this boy; at least, that was his reasoning for it. "Aye, Videe, s'weird," he readily agreed. He noticed where the dragon's gaze wandered and smirked. Those shinies would be his and Vidya's, if he had anything to say about it.

Inle mentally sweatdropped. This wasn't as going as well as she would've hoped, not that she knew she would've hoped it up until a moment ago. "That's good to hear!" she blurted out, clearly at a loss.

Vidya's wings twitched again as she heard the door open once more. It seemed that her wings, the laziest part about her, where finally starting to become active like the rest of her. Enoh didn't mind at all though...She just wanted to squeal whenever Vidya's wings twitched...that was just too cute! But since Enoh wasn't here, there was no threat of that happening. Instead poor Teivel had to suffer through this, and he did so by sitting by the fire and ignoring everyone around him.

The tale, briefly ignoring Tybalt and Lance, waved her arms over her head to get the attention of Jiro. Oh, it was so nice to see him again! The girl laughed happily, her eyes closing in glee.

"Jiro! Hiya! S'nice ta see you again! Oh, and Hullo! Wow, you tall."

It was probably a good thing Vidya was awesome at keeping secrets. She had opened her eyes to look up at the man Jiro was clinging to, finding him to be an awful lot taller than the adults she was used too.

Hearing Tybalt talk, Vidya's eyes opened, and focused on him curiously. Somehow, she figured his agreement had a little bit of a different tone than hers did...and of course, she felt the need to clear this up! Vidya didn't want to be misunderstood, and then disliked...that would be very bad. She smiled at Lance over Tybalt's wing.

"But weirds'good!"

Lance was not weird! He glared at Tybalt, his lip curling a bit, his grip on his sword tightening.

"Your weird too," he said, to Tybalt, and not Vidya.

He glanced towards the shiney stationary once more, and could already sense challange arising.

He was momentarily distracted by Jiro's entrance, and nodded to the new arrival, but was more intent on focusing on Tybalt. The parrot boy he already highly disliked. He blinked a bit at Vidya, tilting his head curiously. Weird... Good? Maybe...

Dragonfly too, was beginning to feel the awkwardness of the situation more prominently than before, and she offered a lopsided, nervous grin.

"Well," she chirped, glancing to Inle's book, and then back to her face, "I'll leave you to your book then. Eeh heeh..."

She looked around for something to distract herself with, and not seem rude. She spotted Akiya, and heard his greeting, and thus, offered her own.

"Hello," she said politely.

Hearing someone call his name, he looked over to see Viddy was waving her arms trying to get his attention. Oh, Viddy. He waved his hand back at her, smiling faintly. Good thing to see she didn't make a huge production over him. Seeing her look at Akiya, he smirked. "That's my Father... and it's good to see you again, Viddy. And how are you?"

Akiya's brow shifted at how he interacted with Viddy and it made him rather happy to see that he was rather polite to the Tale. Maybe he would change his opinion on girls....

.....

..... highly doubted it though.

EDIT: Noticing Dragonfly respond to his greeting, he smiled. "It feels a bit.. tense in here. Are things not going well?"

Tybalt glanced over his shoulder at the sound of the door opening yet again and gazed levelly at Jiro for a moment. He still didn't know how he felt about the boy, having never interacted with him, but that would have to wait until later; there were bigger issues at hand here. He turned his attention back to his first mate and the loathsome creature in front of him. "Weird's good...sometimes," he said in response to both Vidya and Lance. Tybalt crossed his arms over his chest, his taloned feet planted sturdily on the floor, his stance showing his utter confidence.

"Sorry," Inle mumbled, trailing off, nodding at the new arrivals before turning back to her book.

Vidya looked between Lance and Tybalt, that ever-curious expression on her face. She didn't really understand what was going on, but she assumed it was a boy thing, and decided to stay out of it. She removed herself from that situation and wandered over to Jiro, humming the entire way over.

The tale looked up at Akiya, blinking her white eyes.

"Hallo Jiro's Daddie! Wow, you almost's'tall as Tei!"

Or maybe taller, she figured. Vidya pointed over the the solitary Reindeer tahnee that sat by the fire, promptly ignoring her mention of him. He was only here to make sure she didn't hurt herself, and conversing with others wasn't part of his duty. Besides, he didn't want to be here in the first place, but once Enoh had set her foot down, nobody, not even Teivel, could defy her.

Giggling a bit, Vidya turned back to Jiro, smiling as happily as ever.

"M'real good! How be you?...me left Kali at home!"

She stated that fact proudly, as if it had any importance at all. Well, it actually did.

Oh dear. She'd offended Inle. Or upset her, or something.

"Nonono!" she said, pulling her hands up, "Don't apologize... Eeh... heh... There's nothing to apologize for.."

She smiled meekly, and then left Inle to her book. She looked to Akiya, and grinned sheepishly, looking towards the children.

"Erm. A little tense? Eh..."

She didn't know what to say, other than that.

Lance easily matched the other's stance, his sword clutched tightly in his hand, his stance proud, and noble as he glared at the other. He would show no weakness in front of this one, he'd be damned if he did.

Blinking at Viddy, he couldn't help his smile as he pet her on the head. "Well unless Tei is almost eight feet, then it's safe to say I'm taller than him." She was very sweet and he couldn't help liking the girl. Maybe Jiro would at least like her.. cause he knew well what he thought about Aido..

He nodded when he saw that she didn't have her plushie with her. "Ah I see... I brought one of mine... I'm trying to figure out what to do with the other ones. Father bought me too many and I don't want them all.." His lips pursed gently as he nodded to himself. "Maybe I can give one to you? Or something?"

It wasn't often that he offered to give anyone -anything- so this was a big thing for him. He only did that if he considered you someone he was on friendly terms with. "Did he shift again and be mean to you?"

Tybalt's grin was more a baring of teeth than anything else. His wings folded to his back as Vidya took her leave, and he stared at Lance for a moment, as if assessing him. His gaze eventually flicked towards the shiny stationary; his smirk turned decidedly mean. With a bit of a swagger, he went back to his space on the wall and began once more the slow climb upwards, his talons creating more holes in the wall as they held his weight up.

Inle's glance was torn once more from her book, and she finally put it pages-down in her lap. "Sorry for being sorry, then?" At the mention of the "tense" situation, she glanced at her feathered son and rolled her eyes. "Yeah. That's just Tybalt being Tybalt."

Vidya hadn't the faintest idea why feet had anything to do with how tall someone was. Giving him a strange look, Vidya looked down at her own sandaled feet, wiggling her toes a bit before giving him the benefit of the doubt. She nodded, her tone naturally sweet.

"Well, Tei's vurry tall! But okay, you taller."

Her gaze then turned towards Jiro, blinking at him for a moment before clapping happily, throwing her arms around him in a hug.

"Oh! Viddy'd like that lots! Thank you! I...Oh, whoops. Sorry!"

She giggled, removing her arms from around him once she realized she might have done something wrong. Jiro seemed like the type of person you should only hug when you're alone, and she'd almost forgotten that! Lucky save on her part. Shift again? Oh...he was talking about Kalani again. Vidya frowned and nodded.

"Yes. Kali's'mean still...so me left him in my bedroom."

Hearing taloned feet clicking, Vidya looked over her shoulder just in time to see Tybalt head back to the shiney stationary. She pouted a bit...she wanted to go too! But there was no way she could get up there by herself, and she figured it'd be mean to suddenly leave Jiro. Sooo...she did the next best thing; cheer him on from where she was! Oh, and guide him too. She figured he might not be able to see too well since he was against the wall, and the shinies were on a shelf.

"Yay Cap'n! C'n you see? Viddy can tell when you get close..!"

Lance's eyes narrowed further as he watched the other swagger towards the wall, and the sense of challange rose once more in his chest. His wings unfolded from his back, taking a testing flap, and he was surprised at the ease of which the seemingly small apendages lifted him. Ah. But it wouldn't be fair to fly. He tucked his wings back, and 'sheathed' his wooden sword into the shirt upon his back, folding his wings over it to keep the wooden weapon held steady. He went to the other side of the wall, still near the stationary, and looked to Tybalt, challange written across his features. He didn't want to ruin the wall though, and thus took a moment to concider a way up without causing too much damage. He looked to the shelves, and wondered if it would hold his weight, before shrugging a bit, his tall frame reaching up to grip the first shelf, and pull himself up, and begin the climb.

Dragonfly didn't really know what to do with herself, and so she sat herself down in the place she had been frequenting, and sighing softly.

Tybalt tossed a grin to his first mate before returning to his task. Now that he had gotten the hang of pushing his claws through the wall, rather than just searching for toeholds, his progression was much easier. He already had a more-than-healthy head start on the dragon, and not one to grow lax in the face of sure victory, only increased his pace.

He saw how Viddy was looking at her feet and he gently shook his head. "Your height isn't measured by your feet... you'll get it later.. if I had the right book, I'd try to explain it to you..." When she hugged him, he patted her briefly on the back. However, she seemed to remember and she backed away. "Then I'll bring you over one sometime soon then, neh? Maybe tomorrow, if Father remembers, anyway."

Noticing how something seemed to be going down with Tybalt and the newbie, he felt himself filled with a grim sort of pleasure. Aww did they not like each other? Odd how the males seemed to be having issues with each other. Was this a pattern thing? "Wanna sit next to me, Viddy?"

Dragonfly sweatdropped further as she watched the going on's between Lance and Tybalt, and shook her head softly.

Lance was determined to catch up to the other, and he took leaps to climb higher. He was gaining on Tybalt, but he felt it wasn't fast enough. He pushed every muscle in his body to move faster, the competetive spirit in him driving him onward. He was just a handhold away from Tybalt's foot. Then he was at the other's waist, and finally, he hauled himself up so that he was next to the parrot child.

He turned his head for a moment, locking his crimson gaze with the other, before continuing on. It would be a race to the bitter end, it seemed.

"Me thought not...'sounded weird."

Vidya wrinkled up her nose. She still didn't get it, but since Jiro said it wasn't true, she had no choice but to believe him. Besides, he knew things like this. She smiled at him, before lifting her gaze to watch Tybalt's progress. He was going in the right direction so far!

"Okay! That be very nice, thank you! Should me get the...uhm...direcshions...to my n'Mommie's house? Oooh...Hiya Aii!"

She wrinkled up her nose a bit. She knew that word, and yet she forgot how to pronounce it. Oh well. She had heard the door open, and of course gave Aido a rather large and fast wave in greeting, before her attention was drawn back to Jiro. Vidya blinked at his question, and then nodded.

"Okay, sure! But Viddy needs t'be able to see tha Cap'n, okay? Oh...!"

Speaking of which...Vidya had lifted her gaze to see that Tybalt was getting very close to the shiny stationary...and of course that meant she had to tell him where it was! She cupped her blue hands at the sides of her mouth, calling over to him.

"Cap'n! Tha trezure's Anodder shelf up!"

Lance's proximity would prove to be his downfall, as Tybalt pulled a move any pirate would have been proud of. Two more quick steps upward brought Tybalt's feet within easy reach of his opponent, and he didn't hesitate to take advantage of this by shifting his weight to the side, then planting his feet upon Lance's head and shoulder. Using the dragon as a launchpad, he jumped the remaining few inches to the shelf, bellyflopping atop it before wiggling into a more secure position. The shelf shook beneath his weight and movement but held, and Tybalt crawled along it until he reached the prized stationary. He shifted into a sitting position, his legs dangling over the edge of the shelf, and held the paper in his lap. His grin was not a little victorious and smug.

Inle's jaw dropped. She wasn't shocked that Tybalt literally walked all over Lance, but she was a bit surprised that he had managed to get so high in the first place. Chagrined, she turned towards Chibi. "Uh...sorry. He's kind of a jerk."

Lance's red eyes widened in realization as he watched the other near him, and though he struggled to get further to the side, he didn't have enough room. He felt the pirate's claws dig into his shoulder, and he let out a cry as the other leapt forward. His hand came lose from it's hold as he reached up to grasp the other's foot as he tried to launch away from him, but this lead to no avail. Instead Lance lost his footing, due to Tybalt's weight, and the balance he had sacrificed by reaching a hand up. He plumetted backwards towards the floor, and hardly had any time at all to turn himself over, and spread his wings.

He landed hard on the floor, and let out a cry of pain as he did so, his eyes narrowed into pained slits as he gasped for the air that had been sucked from him during the fall.

"Boy's will be boy's," she murmered in reply to Inle, and shrugged softly.

She blinked in surprise as Lance began to lose his grip, and watched in horror as he struggled to right himself in the air, though too late, and watched as he hit the floor.

She was on her feet in a flash, making her way over to the collapsed dragon boy, fearful for his safety.

"Lance! Lance are you alright? Is anything broken?"

She was talking quickly, obviously acting like a panicked mother.

Tybalt waved the paper in the air towards Vidya, a sign that their teamwork had prevailed yet again. "We wins! Th' treasure's ours!" Something moved out of the corner of his eye, and he looked towards it, watching passively as Lance plummetted. While Tybalt wasn't normally a cruel child, he found himself somewhat pleased that his foe got his just desserts; that's what happened when one decided to cross Captain Tybalt, in his mind.

Inle, however, was not so unmoved by the boy's fall. She leapt from the chair, eyes wide, the sound of her book falling to the floor deafened by the sound of a heavier object making the same contact. She shot a deadly gaze towards Tybalt, who was busy reveling in his foe's demise, before moving tentatively towards Chibi and Lance. "s**t, I'm sorry...is he ok?" Without waiting for an answer, she looked up at Tybalt, who was now in her line of sight. "That was ******** up, Tybalt. I should leave you up there for that." Tybalt merely shrugged, unphased by his mother's threat and language.

Lance sat up shakily, sucking in steady breaths as he began to get it back, before lifting his head, and glaring sharply at Tybalt. Oh that b*****d would pay. Lance could already tell that this was the beginning of a long rivalry between the two.

"Y'won because... Y'cheated," he rasped through grated teeth, pulling his wooden sword from his back, and using it to pull himself back onto his fit, before brandishing the weapon towards the Tale, "Y'd never win... in a fair fight..."

Dragonfly shook her head towards Inle, and smiled weakly.

"No-- It's not your fault-- Geeze-- Wholly crap--" she didn't know what to do with herself, and fussed over Lance, who swatted at her for it. He wouldn't be seen as a mother's boy. He didn't want to be fawned over before his obvious enemy.

"I'm fine," he said through gritted teeth, giving his wings a flap to see that they were still in working order, and then checking to see that everything else was fine, too.

Vidya had been about to cheer in victory, and that cheer died on her lips as well, replaced by a horrified expression and the heavy gasping noise she made as Lance fell. Her white eyes had widened considerably, and her hands pressed against her cheeks as she flinched upon hearing the new tale hit the ground. She spun her head to the side to give Jiro an almost apologetic look before she scampered over to Lance, peering down at him worriedly.

She didn't know what to do in this situation...so she winged it.

"Lance...! ...Cap'n, That was mean...!"

She had moved her attention from Lance up to her Captain, giving him a surprisingly disappointed and somewhat stern look.

"'S'why I don' fight fair," he retorted cheekily, gripping the paper tightly as he was grabbed off the shelf, not stumbling as he was placed upon the floor. He looked haughtily towards the wounded dragon before turning towards his first mate. "Videe, we's PIRATES. Sometimes we gottsa do mean things fer treasure, see?" He waved the shiny paper in front of her face, as if to prove his point.

Inle scowled at him before turning back to Chibi and Lance, crouching to the latter's eye level. "I'm sorry, sweetie, he's really not that bad...are you alright?"

Lance looked to Vidya, a cold glare in his eyes, though it was not towards her. He turned back towards Tybalt, and brandished his sword before him, challanging the other.

"Where's your honor...?" Lance demanded, his tail swishing angrily behind him, "Your scum,"

He spat at the other's feet, to signify what he meant. He almost completely ignored Inle, merely casting her a short glance, before his attention focused back on Tybalt.

Vidya couldn't respond to that. Instead, she gave an objective whine in response, and resorted to playing with the small lock of braided hair that came over her shoulder from behind her right ear, the one with a red feather dangling from the bead-like tie. Playing with this braid and Mrinliel's feather was her newly formed nervous, bored, or upset habit. But she needed to respond, if only to make herself feel better about it. So, to remedy this need, she muttered her words with a pout.

"But s'still mean..."

Her white eyes widened again as Lance had decided to start another fight. After a few seconds, her eyes then narrowed stubbornly, her hands letting go of her small braid to form small fists at her sides, her elbows bent. The currently brave little girl stepped in between the two boys.

"NO FIGHT'N!"

She looked between the two, a stubborn look on her face, and her feet planted. She was deadset on stopping anything between them right now.

Tybalt was about to respond with some wiseass retort or another when Vidya, his beloved and loyal first mate, gave HIM an order. If it had been anyone else, he probably would have smacked them for daring to do such a thing, but...this was VIDYA. The one person who had been there for him through thick and thin; the one person he could trust. So he did what he never thought he'd do: he followed. "Aye, Videe," he said, a mixture of awe and affection in his voice.

A growl issued from his throat, but he did as the young blue girl had asked. He dropped his sword to his side, continuing to shoot Tybalt a harsh glare.

"Fine," he snapped, anger still coursing through his form.

But Vidya, even though he hardly knew her, she was a maiden, and something deep within him demanded that he keep from harming her. He'd do as she asked, for now at least.

"Maybe we should go," Dragonfly murmered, leaning down to whisper this in Lance's ear.

Lance nodded, and turned on his heal, not even saying any goodbyes to anyone, after all, he felt no reason to.

Dragonfly smiled weakly, and ruffled up Vidya's hair, issuing a soft adieu to the child, before waving her regards to Inle and Akiya, and making her way out.

Vidya's stubborn expression faltered for a moment, when Tybalt decided to do as she had asked. Turning her head, she gave him a thanking, and suddenly happy smile before turning to look over at Lance. One down, one to go. Vidya winced as Lance snapped his response, but she was still eternally grateful that they hadn't just moved away from her.

Oh, she looked like she was about to hit the ground with relief. It had taken so much to stand inbetween the two, since one was her Captain and the other had hell in his eyes...and now that the threat was over, she just wanted to fall to the ground and stay there.

Instead, she stayed standing, futher letting them know she was serious by speaking one more time.

"Good. No fight'n...N'...Bye Lance."

Vidya smiled up at Dragonfly, patting down her hair shortly after it was ruffled. Once they were out the door, Vidya heaved a thankful sigh and plunked herself down on the floor.

Geez, she wanted to nap now.

Well well that had been rather interesting. Made him glad he just sat back and didn't interfere in something not of his making. Seemed the little pirate didn't know the meaning of playing fair. That made him smirk. Ah, gotta love fights. But it all ended due to Viddy. Brave little Viddy. In the back of his head, he had to admit that it was rather cute that she was doing something like that. But the fight was averted, thanks to her.

Akiya waved to Chibi when she headed out with Lance, a brow shifted. Tales seemed to have some inner issues with each other. That was rather sad and he lifted up Jiro and placed him into his lap. He hoped things would get better....

Tybalt smirked levelly at Lance until the younger Tale was out of the shop before looking once more at Vidya, chuckling at her visible signs of relief. Ignoring Inle's obviously angry look, he sat himself beside her, waving the shiny paper once more. "We still gots th' treasure," he said, his tone only a trifle smug.

Vidya looked over at Tybalt as he sat down beside her, then towards the paper he held. Well, there was no way she could deny giving him that...she just wished he hadn't been so ruthless about it! But at least nobody got really hurt...after all, Lance was well enough to challenge Tybalt after his fall. With that in mind, Vidya smiled.

"Yep, we gots'it."

She then squeaked in surprise as the top of her head was suddenly poked. Vidya leaned her head backwards to look up at the one responsible for that...and was met by the stoic golden gaze of Teivel, who had obviously had enough of this place. He wasn't much moved by Vidya's bold interference, but he did give her props for being able to do it.

"Vidya, say your goodbyes...we're going home."

"Awww Teeeeei...Okay..."

Though she whined her objection, she looked back down at Tybalt and gave him a hug, still thoroughly thankful he decided to not fight. Finished with offering her goodbyes to her Captain first, Vidya then stood up and toddled over to Jiro, unable to hug him from where he was sitting, but that never stopped her from waving.

"Okay...Bye bye Cap'n, Bye bye Jiro!"

She waved with her free hand as the other weasled its way into Teivel's, the stag giving nothing more than a look of objection before he guided her out of the stationary shop, heading back home.

Tybalt tentatively returned Vidya's hug--he was still unused to the whole touching thing--and waved as she departed. He didn't seem surprised as Inle scooped him up, and he held the night's spoils securely. "We're out of here too, kiddo...and YOU are in some serious trouble." Tybalt merely rolled his eyes. When was he NOT in trouble? Inle nodded towards the unfamiliar pair before she and her bundle of terror were out the door.

Entry 5: Late late Late

I've been looking through my Tome and I've been finding a lot of empty spots.. I'm sure my Tome is irritated at me for my lack of entries... mou.. bad Shouhin. I'll get on him later.. if I don't end up doing this myself. I don't see why it's so hard.. I just hold the book and my thoughts appear on the page. Perhaps, it doesn't share the same respect I do for the man. Heh, amusing thought.

A lot has been happening.. I suppose. if I do this by how I usually do things, backwards, I suppose I should be explaining why I snuck out last night. I made Yuhin terribly worried about me.. for that I feel bad.. but I had to go deliver the gifts I bought for Viddy to her. There was no way I'd do it at the store.. not while that one psycho lady was there. The one who calls me an onion.. so tempted to just stab her and be done with it. She seems to think it's amusing or some kind of game, but to me, it's the worst kind of insult. To be called an onion... an onion!? I knwo what an onion is, thank you kindly and I am no onion! She also has the nerve to call me a girl and think I'll laugh with her. Her tongue needs to be ripped out of her skull.. maybe then she'll quit her prattling.

Is it rude to have such violent thoughts? Oh yes, I know it is.

Do I care? No. Not in the slightest.

If she wants me to respect her, the best way to go about it is to just keep your mouth shut in this case. For now, I just ignore her and wait til she goes away. I know Shouhin is proud of me for not saying all the things I'm sure he knows I want to say. But he's been so tired lately.. I just don't want to cause him any trouble..

Gah, I so digressed! Damn that woman!

Anyway, I had to find Viddy. And give her the presents I had bought for her when I went shopping with Shouhin and my houhims (big brothers) I'm still trying to figure out why I bought her anything.. but hell, it's not like she's a bad person so.. can't kill to be nice, right? Right? Heh, that's the hope. But she didn't live in my dimension (though that annoying to all hell Angelus is STILL in my house! GAH!!! GET OUT!! scream ) or close to the Store, so I can to use my nose. Literally. The place this girl lives is so full of weird smells, I thought I'd die of a concussion.. but I found it. Finally. Viddy is one too hyper girl cause I was searching all over that weird place with that faint trace til I found the concentrated source. So off went her box and I hurried my butt home.

Yuhin was waiting for me... but he was more thankful I was home than mad so I got out of any spankings or re-runs of that horrid movie, Bambi. So yay for midnight adventures! I might do it again... that was fun.. maybe Mouu'll come with me next time...

Lemme think.. is there anything else that's been happening? Well.. let's see... there was a meeting of a new Tale, Lance and Tybalt. HA! That went ever so well I think *Smirks* Seems Tybalt likes to cheat in order to win.. I don't think Viddy liked it much. First time I saw her look unhappy about anything..

Though Tybalt seems rather.. what's the word... clingy? No.. possessive is the more current term, when it concerns Viddy. It's an amusing thing to watch. However, if he thinks he can get in my face cause Viddy wants to hug me, then he'll have another thing coming... like my chopstick in his fluff filled head ><.

I feel entirely too restless here and I can't figure out why. I asked Shouhin if he could take me to meet his grandfathers.. he really didn't seem pleased about going anywhere near those men. But I'm curious about his home.. I feel.. if I go there.. I'll begin to understand something. Maybe I'll get an answer to these off dreams... I know not.. ah well. Another time then... I'm off to bed now

Entry Nine: A Rare Act Of Kindness
Aido is bigger and Jiro gives Angelus a gift?

Chao looked up, barely catching sight of the last fading rays of the sun before turning back to Aido and the level, slightly annoyed look the Embellished Tale was giving her.

"Aemu, I'll be fine, just let me go for a little while?"

The Author dragged a hand through her dark locks, "fine, fine. But are you sure you don't want me to come with?" The look returned. "Alright, alright, I'll be by later after I get my stuff from the library. Don't go anywhere else but the Stationary Store," she gave her daughter a cold stare, blinking as she received a hug in return.

"I won't! Promise!" Turning swiftly Aido dashed down the walkway towards the Stationary Store, a confidence she didn't feel in her stride. She dropped to a slow walk after Chao disappeared around the corner.
She sighed and chewed on her lip as she walked, halo glowing softly to further light the way until the streetlights came on.

"I'm not being slow ya know. And I know.. but I'd rather keep it locked anyway. Call it a very old habit." That made him snicker as he sung Jiro down onto the ground and let him walk on his own. The portal to the store was already opened so it wasn't hard to just get there. Sah rather loved Silent's company and Silent learned quickly that females ewre treated very very well here. Mainly cause there weren't that many there. This race was mainly male. But the animosity beteen Angelus and Jiro was still very much alive and 'well' and it bothered him.

"Not that I don't trust everyone here, just i've lived in the human world too long heh..I cant help it. Think anyone'll be at the store?"

" Yeah yeah yeah. You need to lose some weight. You know, Sah was commenting on your habit of eating too many sweets." She couldn't help but tease the man. Sah never said such a thing, but it was fun nonetheless. Silent looked down at Angelus. Nothing. Not a word nor peep.

She turned her attention back to Jiro and Akiya. " The human world is a scary place, I agree. Hmm... Hopefully someone will be there, if not, we can always get more books." Silent's favorite room at the home was the little library. More books were always better.

Angelus' head lay over Silent's shoulder. Emotionless brown eyes looked to Jiro then to Akiya. At rare moments did the child so any sign of feeling. But those moments were with Silent or Akiya. No one else
.

Aido peered through the glass of the Stationary Shop breifly before taking a deep breath of air and running her fingers through Rael's fur as the Shadow briefly appeared.
The bell rang softly as she entered, only to find that no one else was there.
Laughing quietly to herself she simply shook her head, heading deeper into the little shop, examining it from her new vantage point. She wouldn't mind just waiting here, even if no one else was about, the Stationary Shop always made her feel safe after all.

"Am I getting fat?" He had the feeling this was a joke so he played along with it, letting out little whimpers as he pt his rock hard stomach> "waahh well I'd better start working out or something before I get fatter. Then Sah'll abadon me and it'll be all sorts of bad!" Snickering, he let those two enter the portal first before he and Jiro. "Yeah that's true... I need to get some of my books back from Keeper.. if he's done reading them anyway..."

He noticed those annoying eyes looking at him, and he smoothly looked away. Annoying Angelus. Bad enough he was still living, he kept looking at him. It bugged him like nothing else that he had shared his blood with that no good upstart.

When Angelus looked at him, his eyes softened as he smiled at him. The longer his silence, continued, the more determined he got to fix him.. whtever it took. He would make him better...

As soon as Akiya passed the portal and stood next to her and patted the flat stomach. She grabbed about a centimeter of skin. " You see that? Look at that fat. Don't worry. You and I can start working out. That way I can get in shape as well." She also grabbed her skin, pretending for it to be fat. " Now now. Sah will love you. Whether you blow up to be a hippo. I think he'd like the extra meat." She winked at the angel.

Angelus didn't react to Jiro's expression. It was as if he never noticed it. He stood quiet. Motionless, except for his eyes moving about him. He didn't have Darkness anymore. From what he heard, the man left the cave that day and was never seen again. A shiver ran down his spine. He swiftly closed his eyes. Ever since the transfusion, strange things happened to his body. What did the Tale's blood do to him? Angelus watched the smile on the man's face as he opened his eyes. His fingers gripped Silent's shoulders. He wanted to reach out; wanted to be held by the angel, but knowing Jiro... That would never be.

His face showed true horror as fake little tears slipped down his face. "Waaah I'm so fat! And trust me, me dear, Sah would not wish to be crushed by a hippo XDDD" Looking at her little bit of flesh, he snorted. "You should meet my sisters. They have the same issue you do XD." Feeling a faint tug on his robes, he looked down at Jiro, who was sending images into his head. "All right. Go ahead and see if anyone is there.." Jiro liked to scamper off ahead after awhile of being in their company. It wasn't much and it saddened Akiya like nothing else, but it was better than him being as openly hostile as he had been before.

His eyes were soft as he watched him reach the door of the shop and disappear inside before he felt someone looked at him and looked back at Angelus. There was a sensation.. Angelus wanted something. Silent..? Would it be all right if I hold Angelus for a little bit?"

Shoving open the door, he looked around, not seeing anyone he knew. There was one person there, btu he didn't exactly know her so he went over to his trusty box and rummaged about for his plush. But that smell was familiar...

Aido hummed to herself as she looked at the various Stationary, idly hoping to find something to read, she was getting tempted to break her promise to Aemu and wander off. It wasn't like she'd go far, just enough to see something-
The thought never finished itself as Rael brushed against one bare foot and she turned around at the sound of a box opening and froze.
It was Jiro, but he only glanced at her and she wasn't sure what she should do, he seemed intent on finding something. Still....
"Hi Jiro," she said softly, hand back on Rael's head for comfort.

Silent could only laugh at the angel's expression. " Please. Sah would probably be crushed under the weight." She chuckled. Her smile turned into a huff at the comment about his sisters. " They probably have the right idea." She smiled at the gentle jibes between the two. Her brown eyes fell to look at the top of a brown head. Her hand ran over his hair. She looked to Akiya at the request. Nodding her head, she carefully placed the child in his arms. The trio finally made it to the shop and walked through the door.

Angelus felt his being held by Akiay. His eyes went to the angels neck. No scar. Not like the one he had, but he huddled his face in his neck breathing in his scent. He was safe in the mans arms. Just like Silent's arms, he felt peace.

Someone was speaking to him. In a casual tone as if they were friends or something. It irked him but he paused in what he was doing, dropping the plush he had managed to grab onto as he looked at Aido carefully. There was something... hmm.. That smell. That hair color... the eyes. Finally, he gave a curt nod. "Greetings, Aido." The knight in shining armor chick. Seems she had grown up since last they met. What was he supposed to say to that. You look nice? are you wearing something new? He shouldn't listen to Mouu when he read those stupid human mags. "Good to see you're doing well..."

Good that was smart. Civil.. whatever. He couldn't care less. But Shouhin said to be civil to everyone. He might as well force himself. But his inner thoughts he kept behind his calm exterior. "And how are you?"

"My fears exactly." SNickering to himself more than anything else, he pulled Angelus close, stroking his hair. Poor little thing that gone through so much hell... but he wasn't alone. Silent and now Akiya and his family were doing everything they could to make him better. He had a scar on his neck, but his was made by a blade and was hidden mainly by his hair. Feeling him shift, he smiled before they all went inside and saw Jiro speaking to... "Aido?" She's grown since last time he had seen her!

Aido smiled slightly as Jiro recognized her, it seemed to take people a moment now. He was even being well, rather nice. She wasn't sure what to expect from people now, especially Jiro, "it's nice to see you Jiro. I'm mostly alright, how're you?"
And then the group came through and she went stiff again, briefly giving them a deer in the headlights look before waving weaking at Akiya and Silent, "ara, um, hallo everyone."
Suddenly caught sight of her silent friend, huddled against Akiya's neck, "Ang'lus!" she started, she hadn't seen her friend since the incident with Glory and Darkness and immediately rushed over, hesitation and uncertainty gone.
Standing on her tiptoes to see her friend better, "are you alright? Is he alright Akiya? Silent?" She looked from one adult to the other worriedly.

Angelus let out a small sigh at the caress against his hair. He grasped the mans shoulders tighter. Is this what it felt like to have a father figure? He shook his head. No. He had Jiro. And he had Silent, but his whole home was full of women. No male figure. He couldn't help but look up to Akiya. Even Sah, even though he did have womanly tendencies. His attention went from the mans neck to a older girl. His eyes squinted at the female. They widened in realization. Aido. He tried to hide his face. What would she think of him? A poor pathetic child who got everyone in child and couldn't defeat the master of Glory. He was weak. Weak.

Silent didn't know how to answer that. " Well... He's awake and eating, but..." A sigh escaped her lips. How could she tell her that he wasn't the same. The two childhood friends. " Ever since the incident... He hasn't been the same." Maybe seeing Aido would do Angelus some good.

He only gave a slight shrug in responce. He was being civil. Civil was not nice. "Well enough..." But when his Shouhin came in, his mouth shut instantly and he went back to rummaging about in his box. Somehow, he had to pick a dragon he wanted to keep... His head hurt for a moment and he sighed before he picked up another dragon. .....

"He's all right for right now, Aido.. just.. very quiet..." He nodded as he shifted down a bit so she could see him better. Though it seemed impossible, he did sometimes forget about his height and the fact he towered above most people. "He's very quiet so please forgive him for not saying anything..." In his eyes, he cared for Angelus the same way he did for Jiro. But the thing was, he was getting faint images from Angelus, like he did from jiro and he blinked before he tilted his head up so he looked at him. "You aren't weak, Angelus.." He placed a light kiss on his forehead and sent him an image. If his guess was right, he'd be able to pick it up.

The image basically showed him that he held the two tales in the same regard. If Angelus needed him for anything, even if it was a hug or just a shoulder to cry on, he'd be there for him. Make no mistake. But he felt something and looked down at Jiro, who was holding something in his hands. "Jiro?"

He was not a pleased puppy, but he wanted to do this. Why? He didn't know. "It's for him." He nodded his head in Angelus direction before he extended the gift to him. "It's nothing much..." Shrugging, he let Akiya take the dragon and he went to sit down by his box and play with his black glowy one. One nice thing he'd ever do for Angelus. Ever.

His eyes softened with a deep sense of pride for his little Tale before he offered Angelus the dragon plush. "Will you accept this?"

Aido caught the look before Angelus could hide his face and bit her lip, worry clouding her eyes, unsure as to how to take that look of disgust. Was he disgusted with her or angry at himself or...?
Her eyes slid to Silent then back to Angelus, stretching herself up further, trying to get on eye level with her friend, "Ang'lus? Ang'lus wha's the matter?" She dropped down, gave Akiya a small nod and moved so that she was around the back of Akiya as Jiro extended his gift and was back on her toes instantly.
"Ang'lus, we still best friends, right?" she asked quietly, willing her friend to look at her and she reached one hand up and put it on his. "Why's Ang'lus sad?" She didn't know why Angelus would be angry at himself or think he was weak, or even if those were really the reason's for the other Tale's silence, she just hoped he would answer her.

Silent nodded in agreement with Akiya. " He's much more quiet than he used to, but due to the situation, I think he's holding up ok." she nodded. Silent couldn't help but smile as Akiya held Angelus as if he was his own. Angelus needed that, she knew it. Her brown eyes looked into the angels, as if silently thanking him. For everything.

Angelus eyes widened. She didn't think he would hear him, but a sigh escaped his lips. He understood. His neck craned higher into his lips. His mind was flooded with an image. Him and Jiro. Sons to the angel. He thought of him that way? He did. He actually did. He gripped his fingers tighter around his shoulders, as if holding on for dear life. The fallen angel also sent an image back to Akiya. Holding him in the same regard as Silent. As a parent. Angelus opened his eyes and looked at the gift. Jiro? Jiro gave this to him? His brown eyes looked to the Tale who was busy playing with his own dragon. He nodded his acceptance. Secretely, he admired Jiro. His being interested him. Angelus sent to Akiya. Brother. he nodded his head to the other Tale. Even though Jiro might not think it, but Angelus did look at him as a brother. Living together made him see the Tale in a new light.

His brown eyes went to the older female. Aido. He couldn't help but smile at the girl. Aido always had that affect on him. " Best friends." He whispered. Aido will always be his best friend no matter what. " Sorry." He tried to apologize everything in just one word, but it would take more than just a sorry. " Not angry. Never." He appeased her thoughts.

His head shook in a tiny shake, dark blue eyes serene. The angel really didn't need any thanks. That just wasn't his way. He never did things to get a reward. Only if it truly and honestly called him to do so. Seeing Angelus' reaction made him chuckle. So, his guess had been right. The image connection he share with Jiro also passed to Angelus in the transfusion.. so he was, in some small ways, a telepath like Jiro was. It had awhile to figure out that he was a telepath.. but it was only by pushing Akiya's limits to test his mental strength did he figure it out. It pleased him muchly. Shifting his grip so he could hold him more tightly, he nodded as he got the image. To be Angelus' parent gave him a great sense of pride and happiness.

"I'm glad you accept his gift, Angelus." He knew it was damn hard for Jiro to swollow his own dislike to give Angelus something of his like that. But like he had heard Angelus call him brother, his demonic wing gave off a violent twitch, making akiya smirk. This was just bound to be interesting.

To hear Angelus speak again released some of the pent up stress and worry he had be haboring since he had woken up this way. He would heal now, he knew he would.

Aido smiled, relieved at Angelus' words and gave his hand a squeeze, though she would've much rather been able to hug her friend like in the past. But even though she'd grown she wasn't even near the angel's height, and unless she climbed up him it wouldn't work too well.
At his apology she shook her head, "s'alrigh', Ai just happy that Ang'lus' safe and alrigh'," and not angry or disgusted with her, her mind added silently though she pushed it back. Now wasn't the time for any growth induced uncertainties.

Silent walked to the side of Akiya and placed her hand on his shoulder. " Thank you." She whisperd. The angel would know what she meant. She couldn't help but be surprised at Jiro's actions. Things may change. No on ever knows what the future holds, but it might be a good one for the two Tales.

Angelus' feathered wings slightly ruffled at the hand placed over his. Aido's. It was great to be with his friend. " Thank you." he said to the girl. " You're pretty." He tried to hide the smile behind Akiya's shoulder.

At the whisper, he nodded again. "heh welcome." He did understand what she was getting up with those words and he was pleased to be able to do something helpful for them. He was also thinking along the same lines as Silent where his Jiro was concerned.. but time would only tell what would happen next. It was something that couldn't be rushed.

A chuckle left him when Angelus tried to hdie his face after calling Aido pretty. Now that was cute.

Was muttering in his head as he played with his dragon, pulling out his green fortune one so they could play smash and destroy. He liked it when the twins were there to play with him. This situation was making him edgy.. could they go home now? This was Angelus' thing.. it had nothing to do with him in the least.. so why be here?

He just hoped Akiya would hurry so he could play with Kali some more.

Even though her mother had said something along the same time when she'd first seen her after she grown Aido blushed slightly at the compliment and coughed in an attempt to hide it.
"Than'kyu," she murmured, falling back on the courtesy Chao had taught her, but she couldn't help a mock glaring at her friend from beneath her lashes for the disarming comment, though the brightness of her eyes assured Angelus that she wasn't angry at all.

The door to the shop jangled as Chao entered, a rather heavy looking bag slung over her shoulder. She blinked at the sight of everyone then smiled, waving with one hand before hurriedly clasping the bag again, "hello all."

Silent looked to the opening door. Chao. " Hey there." She smiled at her friend. It had been awhile since Angelus and herself left Akiya's home grounds. It was nice to see the females. Silent couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief. Angelus was talking. Almost as if things were back to normal.

Angelus looked to Jiro, noticing his impatience. He wanted to say something, but bit his bottom lip. Maybe he would tell him when they got back home. Pain was evident in the child’s features. A flash of pain ran through his neck. He became stiff. A slight wimper escaped his lips. He grown used to it. Ever since Glory had a bite, now and then he would get pains in his neck. He gripped the dragon plushie in his hands for comfort. He opened his eyes after the pain went away and slowly smiled at Aido. "You're welcome."

Though Akiya knew that Silent felt rather.. well off cause there were mainly males in his world, but it wasn't so easy to get the females that where there out of hiding. Though if Silent met Lexus.. oooh dear lords, that'd be scary. He nodded to Chao when she came in, since she was holding Angelus, he couldn't very well wave.. or something heh.

When angelus got that pain his neck again, he made a face. Annoying... he got it every so often, at the same time that fallen did. and he knew it was cause of Angelus he was feeling it. Bleh, he didn't want this link..not at all...

At the whimper Aido bit her lip in response and was back on her toes, peering at the wound unhappily and squeezing her friend's hand with both of her's this time.
She glanced back and Rael stretched himself back into physical exsistence then shrugged, giving Angelus something akin to a lop-sided smile, though the Shadow's golden eyes were concerned as well. He liked the winged boy and felt the same unease as Aido when he looked at the wound.

"Hey yourself," Chao said with a smile towards Silent and a nod at Akiya, bah at school making her head home! She wanted to visit with the other Authors. But ah, maybe another time.... She didn't want to leave Aido there as it got darker either, so home it was for them. "Arg, I wish we could stay longer, but we need to head home. Common Ai."

"Aemu..." Aido sighed unhappily, bad timing on her mother's part. She braced her legs and actually hopped up, giving Angelus a breif hug as Rael supported her momentarily before hopping back down. "See you soon."
Ducking beneath Akiya's shoulder she made her way over to her mother's side and waved to everyone. "Bye Silent, Akiya, Jiro, Ang'lus."

Chao waved as well, "see you everyone! Hopefully next time for a longer amount of time," shoulder the bag again, and grimacing as a book edge poked into her back, she headed out the door, followed by Aido.

Silent nodded and waved goodbye to the woman and little girl. A smile graced her lips as she watched the grown up Aido leave. It was a good thing she brought Angelus with today. Looking to the angel she chuckled. " I think it's time that we say goodnight ourselves." Not wanting to disturb Angelus in his arms, Silent walked over to Jiro. Bending at the knee, she offered her open arms to the boy. " Want to go home?" she asked the child.

Angelus waved goodbye to Aido and let out a yawn. He couldn't stay up all day like he used to. Recently, he grew weak quickly and wasn't energetic as he used to be. He hoped that changed. Soon.

"Agreed.." He was more than happy to hold Angelus in his arms like this, though he knew he was weary fromt he events, even though it wasn't very active. Hwoever, when Silent got close to Jiro, he made himself watch. Oh he knew how Jiro felt about their guests.. but how would he take to her?

His eyes didn't even lift up from what he was doing as he stood up. There was no way in hell he would let her pick him up, for any reason whatsoever. Just cause he decided to be nice to Angelus.. it didn't mean anything in the long run. Not a single damn thing. And how dare she call his home their home like she would be staying?! Grah.. pissed him off.

Entry Ten: Midnight Strolling
Two red eyes...??

It's hard to sleep. Not exactly easy to say why, though. Normally, I sleep rather well, thanks. Too bad no one else is around to do anything with.. mou, makes it so boring. The clock reads 2 am in the morning, which means Shouhin and Yuhin'll be dead to the world. If the twins are up, they're bound to be out training again.. already trained last night thanks. Heh, but training with Mouu is fun, now that we got over our little 'issues' with each other and became close. Aahhh ah, he's so cute. I hate Tiggrah for snatching him up... if I was older, we could have had such fun together.. keke...

Well, better get up. It's not everyday when I'm actually out and about so I might as well do something with myself hmm? Finding the nearest window and making my escape is such childsplay now. Thanks a lot Shouhin. You know I adore you. Good thing this place is basically safe... basically. Flying down to the ground, it's best to make sure one has a good landing point. Last time, I think I ended up in a tree.. annoying tree. Yuhin's sakura tree I think. Only reason why I didn't toast the stupid thing for tearing up the black and silver kimono Yuhin so lovingly made for me. >> Good thing he doesn't know about that.. I hate seeing Yuhin cry.

Now.. where to go? I could go over to visit Dusk's family, the Zuniha... however, Lexus is up at two in the morning and I don't need another roundabout chase. That girl won't break me, gods damn it all. But she'd make a fun playmate...keke. Ah one day, one day. Hotsuma is probably asleep as well and I won't bug Shobu.. that would just suck to high hell. Ossaruka is such a clingy b*****d. Ahhh damn it! My fingers vigorously rub against my scalp as I try to figure this out. If my hair wasn't so long it would stand out everywhere.. but I wouldn't trade my hair for anything. Oh ******** no. It's a damn lovely evening and I'm standing here like some kind of cheap moron wondering where to go! Fru-str-ating!! ><

Ah! Sou da! I can definitely go there! >3 My favorite place to go this late at night. I wonder if he's awake now.. hmm... kuku, only way to know is to go see neh?

The cold air felt good against his skin as he hurried through the forest paths to where he needed to go. Yush, he was small, but not for much longer. The further he raced the shadows and moonlight, the more he grew. It was only a temp spell, he wasn't strong enough to hold it for too long. Damn weak body.. ah well.. it would change soon enough. Living with someone who dealt with arcane arts was such a nice thing. Red eyes glowed as he leapt up into the nearest tree, using it to launch off of. Where was it? His black dragon kimono fluttered about his bigger form the faster he moved, his bare feet touching the ground before he was off again. The door.. where was the door?!

It took a bit before he caught the familiar glimmer, leaves rustling as he spun and changed directions. There! A dark chuckle left him as he slammed into the time door, a door that didn't really exist except for at certain times of day, and rolled onto a soft bed covered in silk sheets. The inhabitant of the room gave a startled gasp and there was the quick rustle of fabric as he sat up, rubbing his head. "Oy oy.. I thought we worked on this landing thing..."

"J-Jiro!" The voice made him smirk as he shifted and faced a small uke whose coloring was that of a unicorn's, pale and delicate. Actually, he was a half breed of a unicorn for he had a horn like one of his kind. "W-What.. I.."

For a moment, he just laid there, taking in the scents of cinnamon and spice that always clung to anything this person owned. Being in this room.. had always been a calming thing to him, hadn't it... "Startled I came by, Kiyoho?" Rolling gracefully off the bed, he swept the started geisha off his feet and spun him around. "I told you I would..." His voice was a seductive tease as he nuzzled his neck, laughing lightly as the uke pushed at him. "What's wrong? I thought you wanted me back when I could..."

"I.. I do! Jiro.. t-that's besides the point! You k-know...it's dangeorus for you to be here!!" Kiyoho shoved more urgently at his chest, his little hands not doing much against Jiro's bigger frame. "What if they find you again?!"

"Let them. I told you, I don't care.. let them come.." His eyes were dark with supressed rage. Bastards never learned their lesson anyway. Hwoever, a shaky hand on his cheek made him blink and look down into tear filled silver eyes. "Kiyoho..." His red eyes softened before he sighed. "Mou.. don't cry.. you know I hate it when you cry."

"It's b-bad enough.. all this happened... I lost you once already, Jiro! These are just your memories.. once you truly grow, you'll forget again.. but they killed you once! Please.. I.. i can't take it!" soft sobs left his small frame as he rested his head against his chest. "I'd die if I had to watch you die again..."

Not this again... he hated it when he cried! "It won't happen." But he knew that nothing he said would caused him to calm down at this point. He didn't recall it all, but Kiyoho filled out a few things that felt familiar to him. "It was in the past. It's all behind us now."

"But it's not the same. You're not the same." The sheer amount of calm in his voice made Jiro twitch before they were looking at each other again. "You don't even look how you used to... all you have is the name and the memories... you're safer this way." There were other things he wanted to say, but no words were really needed. Jiro already knew what he wanted to say for he had said it before. It was best this way. Why, Jiro couldn't understand for the life of him. Kiyoho wouldn't tell him.. only said it would hurt him if he did know. Pissed him off to know end.

Giving a growl of annoyance, he pushed the uke away, watching him land on his soft bed with an eep. "It's so annoying! I didn't come here for that! Why must it always be about that stupid bullshit?!" his tone was sharp.. not something he meant to do, but Kiyoho always pissed him off.. It wasn't even hi anymore, just what are you doing here. "It took me forever to gather enough energy to make this body bigger and you keep turning me away! I found you again.. why aren't you happy with that?!"

It hurt to deny him. Kiyoho missed him so very much. Over three thousand years of waiting for some sort of sign from him. To feel him back had been more than a gods sent to the geisha. But.. even now, it wasn't safe for him. The nightmares of the night he lost him... choking back his sobs, his fingers dug into his sheets. Just hearing his voice again after so long.. he never thought he'd hear his voice again! Suddenly, his chill body was surrounded by warmth and the scent of earth and night sky. Jiro was a sucker when it came to him.. letting him hold him, he tried to stop crying. "J-Just hearing.."

"Sshh.. wakata isha makauryo* (I already know)... honoshiba... tershuia mazuzu burhka...(Just please.. no more crying..)" Rocking the geisha back and forth, he sighed into his hair, his tapered fingers stroking along his horn. "I hate running away..."

"Yushi..." Nothing more had to be said. They both knew and understood. They couldn't go back. Byin wouldn't be gracious enough to turn time back to when they were together. Jiro was no longer Jiro.. not the one Kiyoho knew so well. Even now, Kiyoho could feel the magic making Jiro bigger grow weaker. And it killed him. These visits would be so rare.. When Jiro pulled away, he didn't try to stop him, just leaned into his touch when he brushed away his tears. "You should go.. before it fades and you're caught here again.. Master Keeper already said..."

"Yushiyushi.. I know." Standing slowly, he kissed his forehead gently before he fully pulled away from him. "I will come back.. just.. when I'm older in this form... I won't leave you by yourself..." Kiyoho didn't answer, but no answer had really be expected. With that, the Tale quickly took his leave and just in time. The second his foot touched back on solid earth, his body reverted back to its normal size, his gold eyes flaring brightly into existance again. "Eh?" Yawning heavily, he rubbed at his eyes as he tried to place where he was. "How did I get out here again?" Yuhin was gonna be pissed if he found him outside the house this late!!

But it took him quite a bit of time to find his way out of the forest, cause he was rather lost. "JIRO!!" Soft arms snatched him off the ground and he found himself pressed against Sah's chest as he scolded/wailed at him. "Oh gods! I was so scared when I saw you weren't in your room again! Are you okay?!" Jiro tried to respond, but he was squeezing him so tightly, it was a bit hard to breathe. "You were sleepwalking again, weren't you... mou, I knew I shoulda had Akiya get those tea leaves for you... my poor poor Jiro.. are you really okay?! Are you hurt anywhere?!"

"Mmmph!! nnnu rigrumph!!"

"Huh?" Sah didn't understand muffled speech and he finally loosened his grip, blinking widely as Jiro panted for air. "Oh dear, what have you been doing all night?!"

Sometimes, yuhin... you are soooo dense... but Jiro smiled... once he could breathe again. "Gomen.. I guess I was sleep walking again. I didn't mean to upset you, Yuhin." Sometimes, Sah was clueless to his own strength, but Jiro just saw it as another reason why he loved having a mommy figure. "You think I can lay with you and Shouhin tonight? I... I don't think it's safe to be left alone..." Ignoring the worry that instantly flared into being in his Yuhin's eyes, he just cradled against him. The vibes he gave out were clear. He wasn't about to talk about it. Not yet. Sah didn't ask anything else, just took him back inside.

Akiya was yawning groggily when the two entered the room, Sah carefully balancing them on their raised futon as he crawled over it on his knees. "You're so slow, Akiya! Jiro could have died before you woke up if something bad happened! Juuganish!(Basically he called him a lazy a** XP)

"Soooorry! You know if he had really been in danger, I would have been out in the forest getting him already." The angel was a light sleeper for the most part, but it took him ages to shake the grogginess he got when he woke up. "You all right there, Jiro?"

"Un.. daijobu." Waving a small hand, he dropped down from Sah's arms and crawled right inbetween them, letting the adult curl around him as they wanted to. This was the only time Jiro had absolutely no guards or barriers up. "I just had a really bad dream..." Yawning, he went back to sleep, Akiya on his left and Sah on his right. He was fine as long as he was with them.

Maybe it wasn't so bad.. to be in a family...

*For Kuulatris(the race here), the have various languages. There's the interbreed, which seems like a mix of japanese and various words pressed together, and then the breeds, eight different languages for each breed. Euinnma, the ninja breed who deal with geisha and anything oriental, are more japanese based.. sorta >>*

Entry 1: Breathing is a priviliage

That not many deserve to have. Heh too bad I can't just rip out the windpipes of the undeserving.. to watch them as they gargle their last sounds so amusing to me right now. Of course, Kiyoho would complain.. but what he doesn't know can't harm him.. and if I keep him out of danger..

Pfft.. a part of me is wondering why the thought of protecting him bothers me... he said so himself. Life isn't the same for me. Hell, I'm not even in my right body.. supposedly, this one looks similar but I highly doubt that's possible. Ah well, I don't care. I like the fact that I get to breathe again.

This place, this home.. it's nice. The comforting warmth I never felt before.. it's a bit stifling. But it's something I'll also covet. I wonder if the angel boy remembers me.. ah well, only time can really tell about anything concerning this mess.

Right now, I have much planning to do.. someone is going to not reach their final stages if I have anything to say about. Kawaiiune baka... oh she'll get ultimate payback for even daring to strike me. Considering she is an ugly, good for nothing female, she had no right even continuing to bother us... she brought about her own war.. but watch her try to turn it around and blame it on us. We'll see about that... She obviously seems to think I'm stupid or something, but I'm one huge step ahead of her and she'll soon learn that I always will be. I swear, females always seem to think they're the best things created. Sure, they can give birth to kids.. but so can the ukes of this race so what's their big deal? Most of them make me damn sick.. seems this Jiro also feels the same way.. wonder why... heh, well I'll find out sooner or later.. but that stupid girl will die... int he worst sort of way.. bwaha oooh yes...

Seems my other's enemy is here.. Angelus? I guess that's his name.. It must be cause of the tranfusion, but we're feeling closer to him than we would like. It doesn't help Shouhin (HA to call him that amuses me but I gotta play along) adores the hell out of him and adopted Angelus as a son.. even Sah has agreed to it. But then again, Sah was always a loving, tender soul...

Bleh, I'm feeling sick with this kindness bs, just like I had when I had to leave Kiyoho.. but I suppose I should turn in for right now. My home needs a rest and Jiro'll find out about what the stupid female did this night. I wonder what he'll do about it.

heh... I rather like this book... I think I'll always use it to write in my thoughts, but I'll hafta keep it hidden from Jiro.. just for right now...

Entry Six: Missing Book

This sucks.. where did it go? I know I got nine books, yet I'm short one. My favorite one. What an annoyance. I went back to that Invisible Couch place with Kali the other day, cause we had heard somewhere that they finally had their books in. And there was no way in hell that any of us were gonna miss out on something like that! And I'm glad Kali came with cause he's a total book whore.. he's so awesome.. I admire him.. for a lot of reasons...

Anyway, they only had six the first time we went.. but we bought the whole set anyway. They're all blank, which was a bit of a disappointment. But he said to give one to Shouhin for his art sketches or whatever, keep a lot of them for myself and that I'll figure out what to do later. Definitely give on to Yuhin. Needs it for his recipes and junk. I don't think I'll give any of these away.. >> *selfish flag waving*

Ah well, I've decided (after I was finally able to get it) that this book User Image is for my journal.. my so-called Black Book. Cause my other one, the demonic, is missing. Damn it >< I know I had it when I left Kali... I wonder where it went >>

Ive been having odd dreams again. This time, I saw this really ugly looking girl trying to hit me with a staff of some sort, but I stopped it. Shouhin told me it wasn't a dream and that I had met someone named.. Ly.. Lyris? Ugly name that, though I rather like the meaning behind it better. And that after we bickered, she tried to hit me. I remember calling her disgusting, not that I regret it. And she said.. something.. hell it wasn't even important enough to remember it. I just wanted to go home. The last thing I need to bother myself with is a person with the brain span of a speck of dirt. Which is to say, has no brain at all. But why couldn't I clearly recall her trying to hit me and stopping the staff? Shouhin said I wasn't myself for a few minutes.. huh... what a rush then!!

However, I get an annoying feeling I'll be close and personal with that twit again. I think I'll need a barf bag. Anyway, off to bed for me. Yuhin is going to make Kali and myself some hot cider to hel us rest better. It's nice to spend time with him like this. Yuhin is so kind to me, though sometimes I know my behavior upsets him. Around the house, I'll be a better son for him. Now, I'll leave these here in my drawer and toddle down. He's hailing for me now...

Entry Seven: A gift picture

User Image

Um.... >> yeah wtf? This was given to me by Viddy's mommy, someone I don't really recall meeting but Shouhin said she was at some party that we had gone to not too long ago.. I think I remember seeing her.. I think. Anyway, she was kind enough to draw me a picture. I dunno why she did it, it's not like I was expecting anything from this woman, but it's.. um.. nice.. I think

I dunno what to say about it. It's me in a cat suit. It screams cute and it makes me wanna gag, yet I'm touched by the fact she would give me something for no reason other than to give it. Though, I don't know if it's in thanks for Viddy's gifts.. I dunno. I'm not gonna waste my air to try to ask. So I'll be thankful for it..

Shouhin was curious as to why I think that Nio person is whiny. I have my reasons.. I've been in the shop more often than one thinks and from what i've always seen of him.. yeah, he's a whiny person in my book and it's not about to change. But then Shouhin pointed out he was Viddy's Daddy and he had this odd sensationt hat he would soon be gifted with a tale... first off, i feel bad for Viddy. And secondly, if that's the case, then I doubt Ill like whatever Tale he'll be given either. Shouhin says it's odd..t he longer he's been there, he can sense when the Tome is going to do something.. he still says he wants to watch another one of my kind show, cause he said how I came was so fascinating to him.. I wonder if he was really happy to have me here. I know I've been nothing but a massive problem for him..

If I feel regret over my actions, it's only cause I know I made him worry... he does his best, but I know he's at a loss sometimes with me. But he never complains and always sticks up for me. I owe him alot.. hence why I only threaten others away from our world >> it's something.. better than nothing for right now..

I'm still trying to find my book.. no such luck as of yet. Frustrating...

Entry Eight: Another Picture and massive annoyances
May 13? 14? Hell, I dunno >>

User Image

Normally, I love to receive things from my Shouhin, I really do. I love it when he actually finishes a drawing.. mainly cause I know what he's really doing... kinda slacking off from what he should be doing at the current time. He's halfway done with Huni's commission thing.. he didn't like the first one cause he said the hands were so hard to do and he erased it so much, it burned a hole into the paper. He said something about it being bad luck to give someone an art piece like that. Least it's that way for him, so he tries to avoid giving shitty art as much as possible.

Anyway... I digressed. Normally, like I said, I'm happy with it. However, I have complaints with this one. Not cause of anything of his doing... not really. He hasn't added in the desgin of my kimono so that's fine.. but this thing makes me look like an effin uke! >< I'm a seme! SEME DA!! Yuhin means well, I know he does. Just like I know the reasoning behind it. It's cause I'm small.. Yuhin squees as he makes these for me and Kali told me he doesn't make outfits every day.. and that he did this to him as well. That makes it just a bit better... a bit, I said. Not a lot... but still... to be dressed in something like that, though I know I should be wearing a yukata and not a kimono, there are still guidelines to it. Least I like to think so...

But Yuhin looks so tired but proud when he hands it out to me. I know he works so hard on it so how can I say no to him? So I wear them.. they are awesome, just I'm not an uke. So then Shouhin wanted me to sit for him so he could draw me with my hair down.. (he still forgot to add all of it but he's not done yet.. I'll give him time) course I agreed. The pose is a bit ukeish, but he said he caught my best moment when I was shrugging about something Mouu had been telling me. I'll finally be meeting the 'other family' soon. I can't help but not be excited.. but again, off the topic. So yay, the pic is almost completed.. I'm not too happy with my pose and the ukeness of it all *sighs* but I think he did an amazing job. And shouhin is bouncing off the walls as he always does and shows it off in shop. Really..really wish he hadn't. First off, Angelus thought it was amusing and that I looked 'pretty'.. gah remind me to stab him with a rusted fork...

But.. what happened next made my hatred of Angelus seem like a day at the beach. Now, I can't stand Angelus cause he's just damn rude, ya know? But... since he's come to stay with us, we've come to some sort of grudging acceptance of each other and he's like a brother... I guess. So yeah, I can tolerate him better than I ever have been able to before. Now.. this damn b***h Lyris....

First off, I've warned her I dunno HOW many times to NOT touch me. So what does she do? She bops me again, mind, with her stupid effin staff! I think she was born short a few braincells or so s**t.. and she has a really smart mouth on her too. I was aware of.. some kind of darker presence inside that came out at that point.. but I know that I clearly tried to kill her.. but Shouhin stopped me.. I really wish she hadn't cause she touched me again and I swear I wanted to break her stupid ******** neck! Why, Shouhin?! Idiots like that don't deserve to live! She makes me wanna rip out my damn hair. The only decent thing about her is her cat, who seems to have all the brains of the outfit, if you ask me. And i like Luna.. Luna's cute and a soft cat.. her odd misplaced trust in me is touching.. so I'll look out for her... but Lyris... *twitch* Hell, in comparasion, I love Angelus.. so that just shows how much I hate Lyris...

Next comes in Nio, who already has a lot of points against him in my book. I dunno why these idiots think taunting me is gonna make me like them, cause it'll only make me hate them that much worse. And coming from an adult only makes their damnation that much worse. Call me an uke, will you, you damn whiner?! Your death will be just as well thought ot and painful as Lyris, that is a promise! Silent is a saint compared to this guy in my book... at least Silent now seems interested in getting to know me.. this guy just wants to try getting under my skin as much as humanly possible. Syrie does it too but the thing is.. I know he's doing it in jest.. Nio just does it to be annoying...

But I disappointed Shouhin. I know I did. I tried, I did, but I have no control over my rage.. and I don't get why these people seem to have so much fun in making fun of me. It's not like I sit there and do it to them. I couldn't care less about that. But I know Shouhin wanted me to at least get to respect the Authors.. on some sort of level. silent's okay, I dunno Aido's mommy that well.. Pen seems like the well meaning type, I definitely respect Enoh... I think that's all the adults I know.. oh and Huni and Syrie are interesting.. Dunno Huni well enough but Syrie I gnawed on >3 That made me happy... I hope he comes back soon so I can do it again X3

All in all, my night was s**t.. pure and total s**t...

That's all... I need to go to bed. Maybe when I wake up, I'll write of my excitement of getting to meet the other family I keep hearing about >>.. when I'm able to hold this book without my chopsticks in hand.. Yuhin's not gonna be pleased to see the deep gashes in the new desk he bought me.. *sighs*

Entry Eleven: A cheerup Giftu

User Image

"Here you go, sweetie!" Sah was all smiles as he pulled the silent Tale from his calligraphy studies by presenting a shiny box to the boy. Lately, he's been rather quiet and withdrawn, more so than normal and Sah was getting really worried. Akiya was keeping mum, probably at Jiro's request. And so, it was up tot he uke to figure the best way to make his newest baby smile.

Seeing how Jiro's eyes lit up at the sight of the box, he couldn't help smiling. "The invisible Couch was giving them out again.. I remembered how much you had liked your other one last time, so I thought..." His words were cut off when Jiro suddenly leapt into his arms and clung tightly to him. Jiro didn't make sounds when he cried but Sah always knew and he made soft chuuing sounds as he rocked him back and forth. "Shhh shhh, my little one.." His fingers ran lovingly through his hair as he hummed his favorite song to him, just touching him and letting him get all all his emotions. One thing Sah had quickly learned about Jiro, he needed a motherly touch. He was very aggressive but felt there was no one he could trust to show this side of himself to. And with his other side coming out... poor thing...

It took awhile, about a half hour, before the Tale shakily lifted his head and used his sleeve to wipe at his face, though his face was already red and puffy. Good thing he wasn't by a mirror or else he would have ben disgusted with himself. Resting his head against Sah's chest, he kept his bio colored eyes closed as he let the Isshina's natural warmth sweep over him. Even his scent was calming.. he smelled of earth and lilacs.. "So... how is the baby?"

"Just fine. Growing as it should be... and yes, before you ask, Akiya is still in the dark about it. Remember. Tis our little secret..." Sah knew how Akiya felt about kids.. with his other family, he had nine kids... though three weren't his by blood, he adopted them and took them in. And here, he didn't want to add to his burden of more kids. It had to be hard.. A slight sigh came from him as he covered his stomach with a white gloved hand. "I wanna tell him.. but.. I don't wanna be a bother either..."

"I highly doubt Shouhin could see anything you do as a bother or burden.. he loves you as much as he loved Kafers..."

"But there's always Kafers there! They've already had their live together before in his last Rewrite! Why.. why can't I just have him.. I've been good and waited this long..."

Jiro looked up at him and caught the diamond that dropped down into his palm, feeling the warmth from Sah's skin. "That's how the world goes... but the thing is, he is here with you.. and took ot that part of his soul that needs to be with Kafs so he can focus on his family here... doesn't that say something?"

There was a bit of a silence between the two. Sah was watching how Jiro studied the box, his eyes captured by the pretty sparkles. He had been so disappointed when the box had disappeared last month. Maybe this time he had enough time to make a box like it.. or whatever he had wanted to do with it. Finally, Sah rested his chin on top of Jiro's soft hair and nodded. You're right.. you're very much right.. he did go through a lot in order to save me from Yujan... and he didn't even have to at all.. I owe him so much.. just.. he's my happiness. Him and you and the rest of our family." The slim male squeezed Jiro more snugly against his chest, enjoying the cute little 'wan' sound the Tale gave him as he relaxed in his arms. "I'm just afraid I'll wake up one day.. and be back under Yujan's thumb.. this all just a dream.. I don't think I could take it.."

Turning in his lap, he cupped his cheeks with his hands and kissed his nose gently, his wings flapping gently. "Tis not a dream, Yuhin." His eyes were serious before he nuzzled his cheek. "hehe you're so silly.. you're trying to cheer me up by making me think of someone else.. and you know that if it's you, I'll bend over backwards to try to make you happier..." Seeing the slightly evil grin tilting his lips, he couldn't help snickering. "And people say I'm scary at times!"

Sah couldn't contain his giggles as they were amused by it all. "Well it worked, neh?" His fingers stroked over his cheek. "You feel better now?" Jiro nodded after a bit and the Isshina was more than pleased. "Good.. now let's find a good place to put your box and wait for it to open neh? I wonder what you'll get this time around! I'm sure it'll be something cool." Getting up gracefully, he carried him over to his desk, which was a bt of a mess. With a cluck of his tongue, he worked on straightening it out, using a bit of his powers to send control spirals of wind to put things in the right places before pulling the sparkly box down. "There.. neh.. we need to work on getting you a pet or something.. anything's better than Nycon's hellhounds..."

Jiro only snickered in response to that but they got quiet again. But that was okay. They didn't always need words to speak anyhow...

Entry Twelve: Jiro and Khia
A shamisen lesson

Exiting on the other side of the portal, the two found themselves next to a small little house just off the main one. Jiro loves his playroom and his normal rooms, but he needed a spot of his own where he could train or mediatate peacefully. Thankfully, both of his parents understood and they had no trouble making him a house of his own. Well.. more like a dojo than a house.

"We can practice in here. It'll be quiet and no one'll disturb us. They know before entering." Actually smiling for once, he opened the door to let him in. "In we go. I can ask Yuhin if he could make us some snacks too, if you'd like."

Khia's fur was crackling a bit from the magic that transported him - as he aged, the energies around him reacted more and more with the energies that allowed him to shift forms. It didn't hurt, acutally, it tingled - usually - so he was in a good humor.

"Maybe later? Shouldn't eat near instruments, right?" He'd taken good care of the shamisen Jiro'd given him; as per Syrie's instructions. Also, the fuzzy black shapeshifter had started plucking at it tentatively, but he'd not wanted to actually try anything without his friend.

"That's a valid point. We can eat something later, when we're done." Once inside, he ran on ahead, his bare feet silent on the wooden flooring as he hurried over to the left side of the room and pushed open a door. Grabbing some comfortable pillows, he set them in the middle of the room before darting back. A few more trips and he soon had two music stands, music books and his shamisen all set up. "I've been practicing a bit.. cause I couldn't help being curious.. and you were always away, or your parent was.. same difference."

Leading him over, he sat down in normal japanese fashion and waited for him to sit down. "So how have you been? It has been awhile since last time we got to hang out..." Though he was worried about the odd other side of himself, he didn't want to mention his worries to Khia. It wasn't like he could understand and he wasn't even sure if he could explain it correctly. For now, it was time to have fun with his friend, one of two.

Khia followed, helping if he could. "Oh, I was messing with it too...I...yeah, it's been kinda crazy. Sy got sick, so we had to hide out a bit..." Khia had missed being around his friends for so long; he was gregarious by nature - and Syrie's hermit like ways didn't do so hot with him.

Shamisen in lap, the shapeshifter settled comfortably and gave Jiro a "smile" - head tilted, ears cocked happily. Perhaps there was something different about the way Jiro smelled now, but Khia wouldn't notice that since he couldn't remember the boy's scent from before. As it were, he was more interested in having some fun with the kimono-clad boy than thinking too hard.

"That has to suck.. thankfully, no one here is sick. If we were, then we'd hafta go see Dyrid.. he's the doctor here for everyone. And though he's really nice, his meds are really, really nasty and I don't like taking them." His nose wrinkled at the memory of Dyrid's cough medicine. He thought his throat was burning for hours and though it did make him better in about a day, he never wanted to take anymore. "So it's best to stay as healthy as possible!"

The smile he recieved made him smile in return before he nodded and then reached out to open the book to the basic page which explained the strings. "Shouhin says that if we follow the basic exercises, we can memorize the sting names and such... it's best to learn from the bottom up.. or something." Which wasn't as fun in his book, but he did it anyway.... Sometimes.

Khia nodded. Having Syrie sick did suck. Very much, since the kitsune was chronically ill, and the medicines he took smelled horrid - quite possibly as bad as Jiro's doctor's medicines. "Syrie's stuff is the same, it stings my nose and I can't smell when I'm around it too long. Nasty stuff..."

The shapeshifter listened with interest - books! The bane of his existence, but still...this was something he wanted to do. Khia paid attention, reading and memorizing the string names and plucking at said strings while quietly mouthing the names. "Your Shouhin is smart, isn't he?"

"Shouhin? He's rather old.. he just doesn't look like he would be. Actually, if you look at him.. other than his height, he can come off as rather goofy. But he's really smart. He used to be a general.. though he didn't wanna be." Since he wanted to know everything about his father that he could, he begged Sah to show him the section section of the main library, though there were five huge ones in the house alone. The secret section was home to all his journals from all his different lives. He read through them to try to learn more about him.

And so, they sat and plunked away at the basics til they felt they were ready to try to handle a simple tune. Saukra was an old Japanese nursery rhyme, but the tune was really simple, so Jiro thought they could handle it. "So what do you think? You like it? Next time we hang out, let's do something you like, neh?"

Khia seemed to be rather content to play the shamisen - to try to play it, anyway - and he nodded. "This is harder than I thought...but it sounds pretty." The tune wasn't something he knew, but as they worked, they seemed to get decent at it.

"Mm..we can maybe go see the Sanctuary? Or Ren. That would be fun..." Since Syrie was a hermit, Khia didn't get to do many things...beyond studies and martial arts, he generally just went along with the kitsune to the various places that he worked.

"Sure, you'll hafta show me around cause I've never been to those places. Though I do remember you mentioned Sanctuary to me before. I'm still curious about it and I wanna see it." Playing with someone else was fun and he found he rather liked this. Though playing in front of his parents was fun as well, it was different this way. And when they messed up, they just grinned sheepishly and trudged forward.

"Yeah... the music is really soothing.. Yuhin found me some recordings of shamisen music.. I'll look for it in a bit so you can hear what it sounds like when it's mastered."

Entry Three: Concerns

It’s amazing how Jiro has been changing lately. When he’s not locking himself up in his dojo training himself as best as he could without requesting help, he’s out hunting. Which within itself is a frightening thing considering the rumors I’ve been hearing. But I can’t help wondering…

Is this in his best interest? Isn’t there something else I should be doing to look out for him? His powers are unstable, from what I can see sometimes as I watch him train. What is the cause behind that uncontrollable rages he gets sometimes? I’m so tempted to ask him but I bet he’s not even aware of it himself. It’s almost… like there’s someone else inside of him. Like his soul is split. Sah says I’m thinking way too much about it, but I don’t think I am. I think I’m not thinking about it enough. Not trying to figure it out enough.

What if it’s something serious and Jiro gets hurt later on? He’s still a child but it doesn’t matter. I’m his father and children, all my children anyway, will be watched, damn it all.

Guess that leaves more spying and research for me….

Entry Thirteen: Pirate and Ronin
Jiro meets Adonis

A portal opened not too far away from the shop, letting down Jiro and Kyoi onto the ground below. Kyoi didn't seem all that happy about having to leave home to come to the human world, Gaia or otherwise. Too many issues about it. Keeping his massive wings tucked in, he looked down at Jiro, who was frowning just as much as he stomped towards the shop. "Honestly, sometimes I seriously worry about him..."

"Shouhin? Sometimes, yeah I do too. He's such a airhead at times.. but then again, he's been under a lot of stress so I guess it's okay." Rolling his eyes unhappily, he happened to glance up and he noticed two people were leaving the shop as it was. One was that fellow he hadn't liked too much. The whiny one... but with him was someone smaller? His mind didn't even wanna think that this man had a Tale. "Let's just hurry and get it and then get some sushi and be done with it."

"Agreed. Though, I'd rather just wait til later to get the box and get sushi now." The teen pouted a bit and rubbed his tummy gently. He had been really hungry for awhile but it could wait a bit more. Seeing how he was quiet now, he looked up. "Oh people are leaving.. that is the Shop, yeah?" Jiro just nodded.

The Tale attached to his father's back felt tingling in his wings, and looked up just in time to see a portal open up and people walk through it. He didn't know if this was the sort of thing that happened every day, so he didn't question it. He did notice that one of those who had walked through was a Tale like him, and instantly his curiosity had perked.

While Nio was mumbling to himself about other errands to be done, Adonis brought his arm up and pointed in front of them, catching the man's attention and sending his gaze forward. He saw nothing of the portal, but instead just the two there heading towards the shop.

"Hoy." Donny pronounced, pointing fervently at Jiro. This would be a perfect distraction to keep from having to go home too soon! Though he already missed Vidya, being out with his father gave him the chance to see so many new things and meet new people.

He hopped over Nio's shoulder and somersaulted, fluttering in front of the man to land on the ground and toddle over to Jiro with a giggle.

Nio just blinked and rose a brow. That was a new trick.. "Donny wait up!"

His eyes narrowed as he watched the Tale flip off his shoulders and come over. First thoughts of him. Sparkling freak of nature and a show off. What a disgusting discovery. But he didn't let anything show on his face as he let him get closer. So this was Adonis, the little sparkling thing he kept hearing about. The one who was oh so smexy. Even if he was a girl, he doubted he'd find him attractive. But that was just him.

And did he just say Hoy to him? Hoy?! Like he was some type of retard? Oh.. he wasn't very intelligent. Either that, or he had already met Tybalt.. he blamed it on a mixture of both.

Kyoi was surprised to see the child come up to Jiro, knowing how Jiro tended to be around other Tales, he had been warned to make sure he didn't do anything bad. But Jiro was a good boy and he knew not to disobey Akiya. Bowing to Nio out of respect, cause he was an adult, he pat the top of Jiro's head as he looked at the other Tale. "Hello. What's your name, Little One?"

Nio was a little taken back at the boy bowing to him, and felt the urge to bow back, but refrained. After all.. it wasn't his custom. Who was he to reiterate it?

Adonis coo'd happily as he was addressed, putting his palm on his chest and exclaiming proudly, "Donny. You?" He gestured to both of them softly, wanting to know both their names.

He completely ignored the looks he was getting from Jiro, clearly misinterpreting them to be critical looks of contemplation. Adonis was so interesting to look at, after all.. he couldn't blame the boy. He gave Jiro a charming, bright smile.

Kyoi took no offense to Nio not bowing in return. He knew others didn't share his believes or said hi in different ways. That was all took by him. "I'm Kyoi.. and this is Jiro." Kyoi was the more cheerful of the pair, though he looked like a girl, unlike his other brothers. The man did look interesting, but he couldn't place him so he just settled for the bowing and left it alone after that. "It's nice to meet you, Donny."

Jiro's brow shifted. This guy had the look of he thought he was the greatest thing since toilet paper and if that was the case, he'd be more than happy to knock him down a few pegs. He was not allt hat interesting to look at. Actually, he made his eyes hurt. "Yoroshiku..." Looking up at Kyoi, his eyes clearly asked when they could leave cause he was getting bored.

"Jiro." Donny repeated, enjoying the way the J felt when coming from his mouth. "And Kee.. Keeooi?" He looked up at the older boy, a little unsure about his name. He would simply stick to Jiro for now.. easier names always made better friends.

Nio held his hand out nervously, hesitating as he wondered if he was rude to offer a handshake. "Ah, and I'm Nio. Vidya's father. And now Donny's, it seems." He gave Donny a playful wink, which was responded to by a small wave of Donny's wing.

"Nice tooo meetchoo!" Donny repeated in a singsong voice, looking up at Kyoi and then back down to Jiro. He gestured in the direction of Jiro's hair with his chin. "Shiny.." He coo'd softly, admiring the boy's hair. "Jiro pirate?"

"Yes, that's right. My name's Kee-oh-ee hehe." He knew that his name wasn't something that was easy to pronounce, but he really liked having an off the wall name. It made him different. When Nio stuck his hand at him, he took a step back hesitantly, not understand what it was about. But after he figured out he wasn't gonna hurt him, he shyly placed his hands in his. "Nice to meet you... Our Father is Akiya... I don't think you know him..." He perked at the mention of Viddy though. That one he did know. "Viddy? Oh, she's Jiro's friend! How is she? And Miss Enoh? That is her mommy right?"

His brow shifted but he bowed in greeting. Whatever, he could play a common courtesy. If he didn't, Kyoi would be disappointed in him, cause he was big on always showing everyone manners. Seeing how he was looking at his hair, he smirked faintly. "Thanks.. your golden thing is shiny as well..." At the mention of pirates, he snorted. "Nope. Not a pirate. I'm a ronin."

Hearing him calling himself a ronin, he snickered. It was Jiro's latest little game and he had gotten Mouu and Kali in on it too. The three pretended to be samurai out looking for a fief and such to join into. They ran around the Homeground with bokkans and such til they graduate to real swords. "So what brings you two out on such a nice day?"

Nio shook the boys hand, grinning faintly. "I had a feeling you'd know who Vidya was. I daresay I haven't met a soul around here who doesn't. Her and Enoh are doing good. Happy about the newest member of the family I'd wager."

"Yes, shiny!" He agreed, finding that the boy was clever enough to notice and therefore agreeable enough. However, his proud little grin faded as he heard of the new type of thing one could be.

"Ronin..?" He asked, his eyes filling with curiosity. "What that?"

Kyoi's wings fluttered just abit. "Well I'd rather like to meet them myself.. I'm hoping Viddy might agree to come over sometime.. it would be nice to have guests I think. I think Yuhin would be rather thrilled about it!" A soft giggle left him before he borrowed one of Jiro's golden chopsticks to check it. Lately, Jiro's been bending his hairchopsticks for some reason.

"A ronin is like a samurai.. they train very hard to learn various techniques and skills. But a ronin has no master to serve and he goes around, either helping others or doing things for themselves. I've been reading that there are ronins who are treasure hunters, but right now, I wanna learn how to use a sword..." Swords and bonbori were actually his main likes. Even if bonbori looked like something a girl would use, he found that using something with such a contrasting weight was more fun that he thought it would have been.

"But I'm also practicing my shamisen.. it's an instrument.. it's really pretty sounding once you get the hang of it.." His black kimono clad shoulders shifted into a shrug. This Adonis seemed a bit like a follower, but someone who thought himself to be the leader. His aura and smell was something he might have to think about later.. if he remembered. "So you're a pirate huh? Is Tybalt your Cap'n?"

Nio grinned, and gestured towards the shop. "Well I'm sure they will. Not to mention you'll be meeting them at the wedding. I left the invite in the shop for your family, Enoh already had it written out. Just grab it off the table, it should have your father's name on it. You're all invited of course. And should he want to invite us over, our number's on there."

"Sam-oo." Donny had become bored with the word before he'd even finished it. He listened attentively however, and gave Jiro a wide, amused grin as he went on about things like shamisens and ronin. He was silly. He said silly things! Silly Jiro.

At the mention of Tybalt he perked up and saluted proudly. "Cap'n Tybalt!" He exclaimed in answer to his question, giggling faintly and nodding. "You know Cap'n Tybalt, Jiro?" It seemed his captain was famous! What a guy. And it made sense, someone that pretty and fun should be famous, after all.

The more he looked at Donny, the more he wondered why he bothered wasting his breath with him. He obviously only heard what he wanted to and nothing else was important. Whatever. It didn't bother him really. Just mean he didn't have to talk to him after this meeting. That was nice. "Sadly, yes I do." Though Tybalt didn't see him that initial meeting between him and Lance, he had been there and saw how he acted. And he really didn't like him much. "Obviously you have to know him since you're a pirate. Hope you have fun..." Getting his chopstick back, he spun it between his fingers, his eyes watching how the gold flashed. He was really bored now.

"Oh really? I'll definately have to pick it up then. We don't have a phone but I'm sure Shouhin'll let you know what his main decision is.. but I don't think he'll be bringing all of us. That's why too much a hassle." Pouting when Jiro took back his chopstick, he saw how he was already tired of talking to Donny. Had he missed something? "Should we bring anything to the wedding?"

Sadly? Donny's eternal grin faltered at the sound of that, curious as to how it could be sad to know Tybalt. Perhaps he made the boy jealous? Ah, Donny could understand that all too well. He was only too happy that Tybalt had gotten over his initial jealousy of Donny in order to become his first friend.

He mulled over these thoughts in fruitful silence, punctuated only by a faint giggle as he watched Jiro flick the shiny chopstick through his fingers. It was rather pretty, and if it hadn't been moving so fast, Donny would have reached out to try and touch it. As it was he watched it just as Jiro was, in the midst of a deep silence.

Were Jiro to do that for hours, Donny would sit there and watch it, transfixed in contemplation.

"Oh no no, just yourselves!" Nio answered with a chuckle, moving to scoop Donny up in his arms. The boy whined sadly, holding his arms out in Jiro's direction. He didn't want to leave yet! He wasn't done watching! "I better get home, I've got a few more errands left and if I come home too late again today, Enoh'll think I've summoned another child!" He snickered and nodded in goodbye to Kyoi, before holding Donny out to Jiro.

"Byyyyeee Jiro~"

Flipping the chopstick into the air, he looked up and then studied Donny. Why was he whining like that? Ah well. Tilting his head, he smirked faintly as he lifted a gloved hand and wiggled his fingers at him. "Bye bye, Donny." The chopstick slid back into his bun next to its counterpart without him even paying much attention. Nice and short. Introductions like this were damn nice.

But he had to admit, seeing that grin slip a bit pleased him. Jiro? Jealous of a featherduster? Not a chance in hell. He didn't like his smell. Adonis' smell wsa interesting but he'd dwell more on it later.

"Oh, well all right. I'd hate for you to get into trouble or anything like that. Come along, Jiro." Extending his arm, he let the Tale climb up it smoothly and settle onto his back, right between this wings. "Well, it was nice meeting you both and I'll make sure to bring the invite to Shouhin. If we're going to attend, he'll bring a reply back." Bowing again, he waved bye to Adonis before he hurried with his charge to the shop. "Box, then sushi!" He was damn hungry. But he looked back at Jiro, a brow raised. The Tale only shrugged and looked off. "Huh... well I'm sure he's rather nice then." Jiro snorted. "Don't be like that."

"I'll be any way I damn well please, Kyoi. And you know that as well as I do." Shrugging, he settled for gnawing on a bare shoulder. "Suuuuushi!"

Entry Fourteen: Khia and Hiromi
Jiro's New Pet

Jiro: *Sighing, he got out of the outfit and back into his normal kimono, looking sorely vexed as he looked at his Shouhin, who was looking away* least he doesn't take pictures ><

Khia: *flicks his tail and shifts his hand so the nails are sharper, longer; using it to shred the suit before tossing it back at his parent* I'll get 'em later, okay? He won't get to keep those, promise.

>.> damned kids, always against me... ;__; woe, woe is me

Jiro: Is there a reason for us to be with you? *He made a face at Sy before he nodded and smiled to Khia* I'm sure you can get them X3 so what do you wanna do?

Khia: *watches his hand changing back with a mild sort of interst, it stings but not so much anymore* I wish he'd stop treating you like a girl... > neutral *shrugs* Well...dunno, there's not a lot ot see here.. except in Sy's lab...but I'm not allowed down there...

*cries, slinks off to go develope the film* >.>

Jiro: *he found his change rather fascinating so he was watching curiously, almost wishing he could do something like that* Meh.. well it's my long hair that does it, I suppose. but it's not like I'm gonna cut my hair anytime soon.. so i guess it's one of those minor things I'll hafta suffer through... *Shrugs gently* Pfft this place is boring then... how can you stand it?

Khia: *flexes his hand a bit* Oh, I don't stay here much...I go spend time at the Sanctuary, or with Ren... So I'm not here much. *flicks his tail* You could see the sanctuary, if you wanted...it's kind of dangerous though...

Jiro: *His brow shifted at the word dangerous* Oooh let's go there then X3

Khia: *grins* I thought you might say that... *pulls a small whistle-type thing on a chain out of his shirt, smiling* Syrie made it for me, so I can go when I want... *puts an arm around Jiro and blows the whistle, fingers covering two of the four holes to activate the spell for the Sanctuary*

The magic is gentle - it's Syrie's magic, so it's based on the earth - and it deposits the duo on a hill just infront of a rather imposing white building. The Sanctuary - large beasts can be seen padding about, and on the porch of the building lies the largest of them all. A huge purple and black beast with massive wings, fangs, and multiple tails; despite the beast's great size, it seems to perk like a dog at Khia's appearance. The whole place is lush, green, and save for this area, it's mostly untamed land, dangerous land.

Jiro: *his eyes swept about the place they had landed into, taking a deep breath to get used to the smell and feel of this place. It was definately different than his home but he liked allt he creatures wandering about in it.* Nice.. *Seeing the huge beast that seemed rather pleased to see Khia, a brow shifted as he smirked* pet of yours, Khia?

Khia: *shakes his head* Heka is Syrie's Lupix...she's the oldest one here... *whistles, calling the great beast to them* But she's the best way to get around here. None of them are mine...though I wouldn't mind having a bond-brother or sister...

Heka nuzzled the small shapeshifter with her large head; the creature was easily the size of draft horse, if not larger, but she had a gentle air about her, and when she chuffed at Jiro, sniffing him, she didn't seem to be intent on hurting him.

Jiro: Ah so tis a she.. that's nice.. *He watched the creature with thoughtful eyes, his body not in any way tensed or on the defense. To him, animals were easier to read than humans were. It wasn't hard to tell the difference between a violent one and a passive one. He inclined his head before her out of respect* Pleasure

Khia: *smiles, because Jiro seems to understand that she's not just a beast, but something more* She's watched over me since I was a pup...It's kind of weird, but I think of her like a mom almost... *scratches the back of his head* Heh...I'll have to bring you back when there are pups...maybe we can convince your Shouhin and Syrie to let you have one!

The great lupix fluffed her wings and seemed to dip her head back, accepting Jiro as a playmate for Khia, and as someone welcome to her home. Her tails swished idly as she sniffed at the air for a moment before padding off towards the house.

Jiro: Heh, it might be easier to convince my Shouhin than Sy, maybe. There are tons of amazing creatures back home. Like the hell hounds. They're awesomely huge dogs that had huge horns and can spew flames. And they eat just about everything he can. Shouhin doesn't like them cause only one demi god can control them and they give him the creeps, but he let me have one as a pet. So I'll ask and see what he says cause I would love to have one of these creatures... *He was also rather amazed as well, but he watched her wander back towards the house curiously* So she protects the house?

Khia: She's bonded to Syrie...she watches this place for him. He's got a lab underneath... Ilkhe is probably around too...He's a great white lupix, but he's mean and bites kinda hard... *grins* Sy wouldn't mind, he likes you - if he didn't, he wouldn't let me play with you. C'mon, we'll go check out the house real quick, and maybe see if Heka will take us to stream..it's too far to walk.

Once on the porch, Heka dropped as if she were dead, laying there peacefully. From the woods, a glimmer of white and a low growling can be heard, but it comes no closer with the female there.

Jiro: Ooh, one that bites. Sounds like a challenge! *And did he sorely love his challenges* Heh I think he likes me only til he can fully make me want him to kill him and rip out all important body organs so he can't be reborn... you have such a weird caretaker... Mine's a bit goofy but at least I can occasionally figure him out. Sy makes me think he lost his mind to the looney farms... *Nodding to the plans cause he rather liked how it was laid out, he waited for him to lead the way, though his eyes flickered towards the woods, his gold eyes turning red as he grinned evilly. Ooh what was in there? But the moment passed quickly as his head turned* Lead on then X3

Khia: As nasty as he can be, Sy's not really a bad guy. He might be crazy though, that...well...yeah, he's probably crazy. *laughs, amused at the thought; leading the way down to the house. Heka didn't even stir when the duo went into the house - it wasn't dusty, since Syrie hired people to clean it, but it didn't seem lived in* Hmm...well, there's bound to be something in the kitchen... *slips into the kitchen to fetch a small pack that he keeps there and fill it with things they can eat for snacks - apparently, Khia does this alot*

The inside of the house isn't ornate, but large and airy, very beautifully made - quite possibly there were hidden passages and things here for boys to discover while exploring.

Jiro: Heh, I'll go with the crazy thought and stick with it cause it works. *Snickering in amusement, he let Khia go dashing off to the kitchen as he wandered just a little bit, but not too far. This place was big, kinda like his home.. though the inside schemes were rather different, he found he liked it in his own way. Whoever made this place had some taste in decor... he'd admit that much. A wicked smirk showed on his face as he wondered if there were trick doors and such here as well. Old houses always had them*

Khia: *slinks back out with the pack over one shoulder* I know what you're thinking, and yeah...there are all sorts of hidden things everywhere here... I found a few when Ren came out to help me make bracelets... *swishes his tail* And somewhere under here...is Sy's lab, with the sprockets. I've seen it, once...

Jiro: Hmm? *He smirked and figured that his face was obvious. When it came to his mind being read, no one could get past his shields, not even his Shouhin and he hadn't even really tried yet. But he wouldn't dare something like that* Really really now... well I'm sure if we stumble upon it while exploring, there's no harm done, right?

Khia: *wiggles his ears a bit* Exactly...who knows, maybe we'll find something intertesting....if the sprockets don't get us first! *He'd thought to take Jiro outside, but exploring the house seemed a bit more interesting suddenly - maybe it was having a friend there...mischief was so much better with more than one person!* C'mon...I bet there's something in the library! *bounces*

Jiro: hehe why are you worried about sprockets? If it's just gears, then it's no big deal, right? *Bouncing along with him, he nodded* Lead on! Let us raid da library!

Khia: *flicks his tail* If they were normal, I wouldn't worry...but they're Syrie's.... *As if that explained everything! Khia led Jiro down the hallway to the right, going past a front bedroom that looked unoccupied, and several smaller rooms - the library was at the far right front of the house, and it was huge. Filled floor to ceiling with tomes, scrolls, and other assorted things - it was no wonder Syrie felt at home in the Stationary Store!* Here we go! *sniffs at the dusty books nearest the door* Wow...I'd forgotten there were so many books....

Jiro: Huh.. *And in fact, that really did explain everything. Nothing was ever normal if it belonged to that fox. Looking at everything in this place, noting that it did look rather unlived in..w hich seemed like a waste of space to him, he smiled happily when he saw the library.* Heh this is nothing to compared to at home.. we have five major libraries each one about the size of this one.. but I wonder if this one might have books Shouhin doesn't.. maybe him and Sy'll hafta trade or something...

Khia: I bet he'd let him have them...Sy's read all these...long before I came... *he sniffed the air a bit, it smelled of Lupix, but that was only natural, wasn't it?* I wish we stayed here more often...I come alone a lot...now that I'm big enough to study by myself, and I can defend myself... *starts digging through books to get to a desk so he can search it* Say...Jiro...do you like Viddy and Ai?

Jiro: Huh? I think it'd make Shouhin's day to have new books to read.. *He was looking through some of the books that were at his eye level, curious enough to pull a scroll down and look at it* Hmm? Viddy and who? *His brow was jacked up before he recalled that Aido was called Ai and he shrugged* I like Viddy just fine.. she's nice enough, for a girl. That Tybalt seems too clingy to her but that's just how I see it... Aido? *His expression was closed* I don't care for her muchly. She's not a friend of mine

Khia: *pauses digging through the desk to look up at Jiro* Hmm...oh well. I'll keep that in mind if I get to bring more people over at a time... This place has the best swimming hole ever...it's like...perfect! *tosses a broken pen and some paper out of the desk, but doesn't find anything useful just yet; though the deeper into the room they get, the stronger the lupix scent is, which confuses him - usually the beasts dont come into the house, definitely not this far...*

Jiro: It doesn't matter if I don't think highly of Aido or not, Khia. If she's your friend, invite who you want. it doesn't matter to me. I don't have to talk to her, ya know... ooh swimming holes are da awesome. I like swimming. *He had been picking up the smell as well and his demon wing shifted a bit* Is it normal for the creatures to come into the library? I didn't know they liked to read..

Khia: I prefer small groups anyway..people stare a lot when I'm around. *shakes his head* No...they generally don't come in here...most are too big to make it very far in the house. *he frowned a bit* It's possible a pup got inside..maybe got hurt and got stuck? *it seemed as likely as anything, the library was full of wobbly stacks of books, armour, and items. Anything could happen in there*

Jiro: I'm not good with large crowds, period. You and Viddy are my only friends...*When he did his explaining, he was wandering about, pressing his nose close to the cases and sniffing around* Huh.. well if it's a pup then it would make sense.. since it's not very big.. I saw how big Heka was so things would have definately got knocked over if it was an adult...

Khia: *sniffs at the air again, creeping through the books and winding around strange objects* It's...stronger over here..maybe...it's still alive? *tries listening with his ears, but can't hear anything for the breeze outside* I don't have many friends either...You, Ai, Viddy, and Linny...I know some others, but they're not really...friends..yanno?

Jiro: *Since he knew that following Khia was the best idea, he stuck close to him* I think something is cause I can hear a faint heartbeat *His wings were vibrating gently as he checked where he could* Yeah.. I know exactly what you mean.. I know some of the others.. but there are some I would rather just ignore completely then try to get to know...

Khia: *flicks his ears and peeks around a tall bookcase; a huge pile of books were laying in the middle of the floor; it looked as though maybe a stack had been bumped, and everything gone tumbling down.* I think...maybe it's under there? *he paused, thinking on that* Yeah...I kind of feel that way too...Sy says I shouldn't, since in a way we're all siblings...but...I just can't warm up to everyone.

Jiro: I think it has to be..*Seeing how the books had fallen over, he bit his lip a bit. Something had definately gotten trapped under all those books. The scent was way too strong here and it was the only logical choice* Shouhin says that too.. that I should try to get along with them. But I just can't do that. It's like how he can't really get along with his own kin.. it's just how I feel about it. There are people that I'll never warm up to.. don't wanna either

Khia: *starts pulling the books off of the pile, tossing them aside carelessly* Me too...I'm happy with the friends I've met so far...I mean, you can't like everyone, right? Plus, we grow up...and grow apart... *glances over at Jiro* C'mon, let's see if we can dig it out...can't just leave it here

Jiro: *Was already doing the same thing, but he was stacking them elsewhere. To toss them was disrespectful to the books.* Exactly. No one can like everyone, that's simply moronic. And when we get older, true friendships are tested to see if they are really worth all the time and effort.. least that's what I think... *He gathered up all the books into his arms that he could before he moved them away* You don't think he'll be mad about this? Syrie?

Khia: If he noticed, I'd be surpised... *shoves books out of the way, following Jiro's example and stacking them to move - at least that way they don't have such a nasty mess later* Hey..I can..hear something now! *it was true, there was now a soft whining sound, it got louder the farther they dug into the books, and they could probably see a few swatches of darkish fur showing through the books* I wonder how many...of the friends we make now...will last when we're older...

Jiro: *He saw the patches of fur as well and quickened his pace, hurrying to get more books off the poor thing as possible* I dunno... it's not something we'll know til we get there... I just hope that you and I are still friends when we get bigger.. cause I would hate to lose your friendship... since you're the first person to reach out to me and not just immediately walk away...

Khia: Same here - You're the first guy, other than Linny, that I got to talk to much. Plus, your scent is nice. *his tail swished as he pulled more books off the whimpering pup; murmuring to it softly in a language he'd probably learned from Syrie* What a pretty girl you are..yes...

One the books were off it's head, the pup looked up at the two boys and let out a howl. It had been trapped for days, it was hungry and it's leg hurt! So howl it would!

User Image

Jiro: Heh thanks.. I like your scent too.. it's actually calming to me... *seeing the pup, his ears twitched as it began to howl. ow ow ow loud! But he looked it over before he knelt down* Aww.. its foot is hurt... *Taking his amulet, he pressed it carefully over the hurt foot and closed his eyes. It took abit before it began to glow and healing green swirls of energy surrounded the entire pup, making it feel all better. Panting a bit when he was done, cause it was draining and he was still learning the spell, he put the locket away* T-there.. that should make you better...

Khia: *watched Jiro heal the lupix pup with a curious glint to his eyes - healing magic was something he was familiar with thanks to Syrie. He couldn't cast it, but he could recognise it* Oh wow...where'd you learn that Jiro? *crouches next to Jiro and the pup, that is now licking at Jiro's hand a bit* Here ya go, this is better tasting, I bet... *digs through the pack to give the lupix some of the food he'd put in there - sandwich meat, and bread* Think she likes you, man.

The howling stopped when the magic healed it, and the doe eyed pup whined softly, it's tail swishing as it tried getting to it's feet; it was a little wobbly from not eating for so long, but it was fine. And grateful for being healed and for being fed; the creature pressed it's head against Jiro's chest gently, ears perked.

Jiro: She? Interesting... huh? Oh.. Heh my Shouhin and practically all the other beings who live in my dimension know magic of some sort.. my parents know a bunch of healing magics so they taught it to me and my brothers.. Since I'm still learning, I use the locket as a focus point.. but it drains me.. heh cause i'm not used to it *He blinked rapidly as the pup bumped against his chest, not sure what to do about it before he pet her gently* I just healed her... I didn't really do all that much...

Khia: *folds his arms behind his head, grinning* Yeah...but for her..that's a big deal. It's everyone for themselves out here, yanno? Plus, she's a baby...so she got lost, was scared, and then got trapped here... *churrs quietly to the rosey hued pup* Healing would be a neat trick...come in handy, wish I could learn *chuckles*

Her tail wagged behind her as she looked up at Jiro - this boy saved her, perhaps she should stay with him to repay him? Yes, that's what she would do...she would repay him his kindness some how!

Jiro: Aww poor little thing.. *He stroked her head a bit more before he looked at Khia and grinned* I can teach you! Or ask one of my brothers, who are stronger and much better at it. If you're around my place long enough, you can learn a lot of magic.. *He then looked at the pup some more* So.. does she have a name?

Khia: Awesome! Maybe I'll learn it along with the shamisen.... *laughs a bit, his fangs flashing* Hanging around you, I"m bound to learn a lot of neat things... *blinks a bit, and reaches out to pat the cranberry colored girl* I don't think they have names...Syrie says that they go by what we call them...so you can name her, if you want. Bet she'd like that.

As if to say "yes!" the now calmer pup shook herself and turned around once before sitting down right in front of Jiro.

Jiro: hehe it's very well possible! I don't see why not *He smirked as he usually did, watching him pat the pup. Why was he suddenly meeting a bunch of girls? Not to say they were all bad, btu he was used to an all male community for the most part* Huh... hmm name name... it has to be something good. I refuse to give her a crappy name.. *He rubbed his chin a bit* How about...Hiromi?I read that's a good nice name...

Khia: Be nice, since Syrie leaves me alone so much of the time.... Hiromi? That sounds pretty... *flicks his tail and gnaws on a stick of jerky idly; because of the special nature of his body's physiology, khia has to eat a lot more than normal people would* Eh...guess we're gonna find out if your Shouhin minds you having one much sooner than we thought.

The lupix pup raised one large paw at Jiro, cocking her head to the side. Naming her started the bond between them; eventually that bond would grow, as would beast and boy.

Jiro: Ya know.. I'll ask Shouhin if it's cool to make you an amulet so you can just come over whenever you want.. it's better than being alone, neh? And it makes it easier I think for us to meet up and such as that.. better than having to go to the Shop all the time neh? *Nodding in agreement, he copied her motion as he wondered what he was supposed to do about the paw in the air thing. Finally, he just took hold of it and held it* Seems so.. I doubt he'd mind...

Khia: Really? It'd be fantastic! I don't like being cooped up in the shop or Sy's study all the time..it's very boring. *watching Jiro with the lupix pup was kind of amusing, like he didn't know what to do with her, but that was fine. He'd figure it out soon enough* I think she's accepted the name you gave her Jiro.

'Jiro..' So that was the bright one's name. Hiromi - for she already thought of herself by that name - swished her tail and cocked her head to the other side. Yes, she'd bonded with this boy, she would watch him, protect him, and pay him back for healing her. In the meantime, she'd just lick his cheek; which she did before bouncing around a bit.

Jiro: *His nose wrinkled as she licked him, really not used to such affectionate behavior. Not even his hell hound was that licky.. but he could get used to it. He was pretty sure of that* I bet it is.. there's always someone around my house.. like a lot of people.. Oh I so want you to meet Jitn! He's really cool. He's a unicorn hybrid *nods* Oh good I'm glad..

Khia: *chuckles a bit* A unicorn hybrid? wow...I've never seen one.... *ear tassles wiggle a bit* Hmm...maybe we should give her a bath, so your Shouhin likes her more? Plus it gives us an excuse to go swim?

Hiromi: *chuffs and settles at Jiro's feet, whining softly; she was still a little hungry, and thirsty, but would wait patiently*

Jiro: Hmm I agree, a bath sounds good but let's get her fed.. cause who knows how long she had been trapped there.. she must be starving.. *He stroked her back with a gentle hand* Shouhin likes clean things and since Yuhin is expecting again, it's best to make sure he can't get sick...

Khia: You're gonna have more siblings? *tilts head, but nods at the food thing* Yeah..um...kitchen again then? *starts leading the way out of the cluttered and oh-so-trecherous study and towards the nice clean kitchen*

Hiromi: *follows Jiro quietly, big feets padding silently behind him*

Jiro: Is the pack already empty? *He got up and studied him carefully* hehe you're like the twins, they eat a lot XD Well probably cause I'm sure she can eat a lot on her own... *Looking at the mesy library, he swore to come back and straighten it up cause it was bothering him before he followed, his boots causing dust to swirl about him for a bit. Though he made sure that Hiromi was still following behind him*

Khia: I didn't bring much, honestly...and these guys eat a LOT... *not to mention the way he himself ate..* Hehe...yeah..well..doing the change...it kinda requires that I eat a lot. *once in the kitchen, the shapeshifter zipped back and forth, pulling food from the fridge and cupboards for the lupix, and also for Jiro and himself* Want something to eat? There's all sorts of things here....

Hiromi: *perks up when in the kitchen and immediately starts tearing into the food that Khia sets down for her, downing it with an almost frightening speed*

Jiro: Huh? Well anything is fine hehe I don't eat that fast *Watching how she ate, he knew he would have to train her in slowing down cause if Yuhin saw that, he might not let him keep her inside...* So how much do you say a Lupix eats in a meal?

Khia: *offers Jiro a sandwich before eating the one he made for himself* Mm...well...I'm not sure. Heka hunts her own food...I imagine that since they're so large they take a lot of meat to fill up. If I had to guess...I'd say about five pounds of meat a day, minimum. *his ears twitched a bit* 'Course, they're pretty self sufficient....

Hiromi: *was now not ravenous, so slowed down her eating, actually listening to the boys chatting*

Jiro: Yeah but Hirome isn't full grown yet, so that means she'll hafta learn how to hunt, right? *Thanking him for the sandwich, he bit into it and waited til his mouth was clear before he spoke again* Huh that's not too bad.. we got through more than that a day.. so she should be fine.

khiarhu: Khia: Hmm...well...I bet Heka wouldn't mind teachin' her how to hunt. She's the "mother" figure around here... *Khia finished his sandwich quickly and then started gnawing on a piece of fruit; his metabolism was just high enough that he almost always was hungry*

Hiromi: *licks her chops and lays at Jiro's feet when she's done, quite content and happy now that she's had food to eat, and water since Khia put that down too*

Jiro: All right.. then we'll hafta stop by here often enough so she can learn how to properly hunt.. cause I'm sure the hell hounds won't know what to do *Seemingly amused at the thought, he looked down as he felt her warmth and smiled slightly at her* It's nice.. I mean having a pet that's focused on you...

Khia: *nods, going to the sink to wash his hands before cleaning up the mess Hiromi made in the kitchen; he wasn't a messy child, just forgetful sometimes* It'll be fine, Lupii are really smart, so she should learn how to act where you live pretty quick...

Hiromi: *thumps her tail and chuffs softly; napping a bit*

Jiro: Lupii huh? *He then got up and helped cause he had been taught sitting around while another worked was extremely lazy* Neh lemme help X3 I mean she is my pet so I should help clean up after her hehe

Khia: Alright~ The floor's kinda messy now, so if you wanna get a rag from the sink, we can sorta mop it.... *khia didn't mind cleaning, as a matter of fact the catlike part of his nature demanded he be clean* *cleans up the sandwich mess while Jiro cleans the floor near where the Lupix pup is sleeping*

Hiromi: *dozes* zzZZzz

Jiro: Not a problem! I'm used to cleaning up messes back home anyway. *Wandering over to the sink, he got a rag and then went to clean up the space where he could. Seeing how she was asleep, he gave her a soft rub before he finished up* There all clean X3

Khia: *stretches and tosses the last of the mess in the garbage; looking around to make sure everything is clean* Yeah! :3 Goes much faster with two! *wiggles his ears a bit* She's awefully cute...maybe I'll be able to convince Syrie to let me find a pup of my own...

Hiromi: *thumps her tail in her sleep*

Jiro: I don't see why he should say no? Least if you have a pup of your own, you would be quite so lonely neh? *Grinning he nodded* Oh yeah, cleaning by yourself sucks a lot! It's always better with two or more helping out hehe and sometimes music. *Looking back at her as she slept, he nodded* Un.. she is cute... neh neh.. since you asked me what I thought about Viddy and Ai.. tell me what you think of the other Tales that you know.. other thn Linny cause i like him too hehe

Khia: I think he just doesn't want me getting eaten Oo;; but I'm bigger now so maybe... *swishes his tail happily* Music is wonderful, I wish I'd remembered to bring the player...I always forget when I come here. *tilts his head to the side* Mm...I think the Cap'n is full of feathers and hot air, Nala's okay, but she's got a nasty scent now..it's a bad scent that isn't really hers... *frowns a bit* That guy with the wings and spikey hair seems a little snobby...I don't like many of the others too well...though everyone seems to like my fur. 'Livia's not bad either, but I haven't seen her in a long time...

Jiro: Tybalt is a feather duster, end of story.. I dun like him much, maybe cause he thinks he's better than me, I dunno... I've never met Nala so I can't say anything.. Have you met Adonis? He's the freak with the sparkling wings.. he makes my eyes burn to be honest >> and he thinks he's perfect..his smell says it all... I'd love to knock him down a peg. Angelus still lives in my house.. he's annoying but.. I guess he's not that bad >> but I dunno the others well... : razz aused here::

Entry Nine: No Title Needed

I really don't get why he bothers, Shouhin. He means well, I'm terribly sure, btu I don't see why he bothers. I'm solitary. Hell, so is he! Why does he think I should get to know more people, especially Tales, for? What purpose does it truly serve in the long run? None.. none whatsoever. I don't want to be around them. I'd rather hang myself... or have Hiromi eat them.. or my Hell hound.. hmm maybe I can see if that can be arranged...

I miss hanging out with Khia. I'm gonna ask Shouhin if he'll make him an amulet so he can come over whenever he wants to... so we can hang out more. He's the only one, other than Viddy and Angelus (cause I have no choice when it comes to him), who I'd want to place myself around. I dunno why with Viddy either.. I guess it's just how she is. No one can hate her.. it's just next to impossible really... Khia and I are a lot alike.. least it seems like that to me the more I get to see of him. He.. calms me.. I can't say that about many people... and though Sy likes to make me gnaw on his face, I know he doesn't do it out of spite. For some reason,t he kitsune seemed interested in me... can't say I understand why...

Angelus is still... well he's still an iffy subject with me, but with the transfusion making us get closer without asking for what we want, there's no choice in it. He seems to be getting better though, which is a plus.. though he's a bit more quiet.. not that it's a bad thing, mind.

I hope to all hell I don't have to go to the Store again. But watch, he's gonna force me to... well he never forces me cause that's not how he is... I just don't want to go. I'll figure a way to get Khia to come here.. maybe ask Viddy if she'll wanna visit, btu I don't wish to go near the Store. There's no reason for me to go. None whatsoever... why should I have to go when I have all the people I could want at home? I'm happy here, why leave it?

Who gives a s**t about meeting newbies? Oh you mean like how I had to meet Lyris? No thanks. Even if Luna is awesome, I don't wanna torture myself with her. Even though she gave me chopsticks as an apology. All that did was make me more cautious cause I can't trust her. Yuhin said not to doubt her apology and that she could be actually sincere... but we'll wait and see. I don't trust her, still don't like her.. so I'll think about it... but I won't hold my breath for it.

I might wanna get to know that giraffe boy... I can't spell his name but I can say it. He seems nice enough. Shy rather but nice enough.. I guess. I dunno. I need to go check on Yuhin. Maybe I can convince him to tell Shouhin about my new baby brother... >>

On a side note... User Image

...I like these *nods*

Entry Two: Sanity...

All these idiots are really hurting my head... there are select ones I would rather keep close, cause they please both of us. But for the most part, I'd rather rip off their heads and make a soup out of them. Not for me to drink, of course, cause that's just purly disgusting. No, I'd deliver them to their Authors and let them enjoy it. Heh.. that would be damn funny.. to see the heads of their children looking up at them from the soup. Damn bitchy upstarts. But that's just my amusement.

For the most part, things seem to have settled into some sort of pace.. it's fun. Training of mind, body and soul is more important than anything else at the moment. Shouhin has been rather out of sorts lately.. it amuses to me NO end to call that man Shouhin! But hell, whatever works and my position isn't given out... so far, I think they have the feeling there's something wrong with him, but there's nothing definate... heh so all is well.

I'll finish this later. I desire a nap...

Later on....

Ah a nice is so refreshing.. and just what I happened to need at the time. It helps my head think a bit more clearly. Though now that I think about it, there isn't much to tell. Nothing has been happening that is interesting here. Not overly surprising.. these people really like all this peace and quiet crap... It can be fun for a little bit.. but later on, there has to be something interesting happening or I'll go insane! I guess right now, the only option open to me is to continue training. I still have no clues where they are... my nightly runs are taking a toll on the other so I'll probably have to be good and lay low for awhile.. ******** hell. Oh well.. I will find them.. I need them back, damn it...

Well, now I must be off. There's murder to plot >3
