"So I see." The sound of Jack's sword sliding out of it's scabbard rang like a dirge through the air. "If you wish to waste your time with this one I shall permit it." The rays of the sun bounced off of the mirror like blade of the sword, "Tell Lucifer that Jack says hi." He raised the blade into the air, an executioners swing. The blade sang as it shifted through the air, and stopped with a loud clang. A cloaked figure stood in the way, it had been as though he had come from nowhere to block the blow. A few of the man's features seemed familiar but he was covered to well for Jack to recognize him, "A party for three it is then." He took a few steps back and prepared to attack.
The gruff voiced figure answered, "There will be no more Navy killed today." Julius had seen the events playing out from a safe distance and had no intention of letting either of the lovers die that day. Besides, it had been a long time since he had danced with Jack and he could hone his skills.
The two launched at each other in a constant dance of death, steel on steel could be heard but both managed to evade each other's weapons. Then at one quick uncertain moment both stopped with guns pointed at their heads. A stale mate.
Jack wouldn't complain though, he had never had this much fun in his life, Finally a real challenge. He stepped back with his ever blank face the stalemate was obvious and it was by the code of the sword that the two depart, Jack believed deeply in the code of the sword and viewed it greater than any thing that any pirate law dictated, "I look forward to our next encounter." He turned his gaze to Cassy, "Next time you shall not be so lucky." With those words Jack turned an disappeared swiftly and quietly into the streets from sight.

Cassy watched as Jack disappeared without a trace. Julian was left in his stead, but she didn't pay much attention to her. She remained limp and unresponsive. How could she have been such a fool?!

Canti awoke to a massive headache and groaned at the process of getting up. What the hell happened. All he could remember was he was with someone, and he knocked out by that person. He looked to his left to see a bullet hole...with the bullet still inside of it. The gravel from the impact remained. From his combat training Canti went through, he deducted that it was shot not too long ago. He dug the bullet at the hole and stared at it intensely while not noticing anything else in his surroundings.
The bullet was a rouge issue. Something not issued to civilians or Naval officers. Home-made bullets by pirates, probably so. He thought back more...he remembered drinking a lot. The headache could be connected with it, it could be a hangover. But who did I drink with, could it have that other Naval official, that short guy. Nah, couldn't be.
He stood up and noticed the cute girl staring blankly at nothing. His first reflex was to flirt but seconds after looking at her he remembered everything.
"You! Did you try to kill me!"
He ripped the knife out of its holster and bent down into a assault stance. Ready to kill. This is what the Navy trained him to do when in situations like this.

Julius held the tip of his saber towards Canti, "There is no need for that sailor, put your knife up." His eyes shifted to girl on the ground, "She has done you no harm and I do not believe that she plans on it." The girl was no longer Julius' enemy, as soon as jack relayed this information to the captain she would be nothing more than an outcast, "No more blood shall be spilled today in this place, like it or not lad you owe her your life and so much more."

Cassy stared at Julius as he 'protected' her from the now-angry, saber-wielding Canti. She'd lost it. Jack would tell Captain and she'd be cast out, or worse, put on a bounty. Canti had ever reason to kill her now; not that she had a reason to live any longer.
Was there anyway to go back? Maybe she could reason with Jack; pay him off or something. Impossible. A traitor was a traitor and even pirates hated traitors. She sighed; it was absolute, she was screwed when she first came to Liberty City. What if....What if she could get some info on the Navy?! Ah-ha! She suppressed a grin. " If I could get some intel on tah Navy, Capt'n would HAVE tah welcome me back! " She figured; probably the best way to go anyway. She held a solemn look on her face.
" I'm.....uh....sorry Canti... " She muttered in Canti's direction. Best to kiss and make up 'till she could come up with some sort of intel.

He looked slightly confused yet relived. He put the knife back in its holster. He turned imminently and looked down in embarrassment. What has he done, he had withdrawn a weapon against his friend. She had did nothing against him. Maybe knocking him out was a accident, and maybe something else was responsible for the bullet mark. Why would Captain Julius lie to him, he's no corruptant and Canti was sure that he doesn't work for Pirates.
"...S..sorry...I didn't know what I was doing...Can you forgive me?"
One tear slid and fell down from his eye and he wiped it up and turned toward her.
I make a vow to never attack a friend or innocent person. I vow to kill myself before injuring the latter

Julius sheathed the saber under his cloak, "There'll be time for later lad, we need to be disappearing before they come looking for us here out in the open." He gave a glance to the pirate girl, "I suggest you do the same lass, hide at day scavenge for what you need at night, when they come knocking at your door, and they will, leave everything behind and find somewhere safe to run to. Heed this advice and you might live long enough to survive." It was the best advice Julius could give the girl before looking at the young airman again, "We have things to discuss lad, and we need somewhere private to discuss them."

Canti wanted to not accept his higher up's command, but he no choice in the matter. A command was a command, not a suggestion.
"Yes sir..."
He turned to Cassandra and tried to smile dispite what he did a few minutes ago. He was unable to smile but made something similar to it that sent the same message. He flipped his hair and turned back to his fellow man.
"Sir, What place would you like to talk?"

Cassandra simple listened on to the conversation. It didn't really SEEM like anyone was talking to her, but it wasn't a good idea to randomly walk off either.

Julius nodded to Canti, "Come on I'll explain as we walk, we don't need other ears hearing where we are going. Not to offend you lass but I can't afford to take any risk at this point in time, I've already lost enough men today." There was a series of hidden rooms and tunnels just below the streets in which Julius had started to set up his resistance but the all entrances had been destroyed except for one that Julius had hidden away just in case.

Canti rushed through the series of rooms and was amazed on how many different imaginative passages that not even a great detective could thing of. He could have lost himself in the hidden rooms if it wasn't for Julius pulling him through the passages. Canti tried to make mental notes on where to go if he wanted to leave but Julius was going to fast for him to look at much.
"Umm Captain Julius, where are we going?"

Julius concentrated on his counting as they worked their way through the maze beneath the city. He had to remember the exact right numbers or else they would be lost down here for a very unpleasing amount of time. Soon though the reached a dead end, "Right this way lad, it isn't much but it serves as home, for now." He inserted a long iron rod into one of the many cracks and holes in the wall until a click sounded from deep within and echoed through out the tunnels as the distinct sound of gears and cogs could be heard along with the sound of stone sliding on stone, "In we go."
Behind the wall was a well lit hall that was lined with many iron doors that led of int separate halls and rooms. "Our underground mansion you could say, I've found a few groups of renegades and rebels to help that live down here but I haven't been able to figure a mass naval migration or attack plan yet."
