"What are you doing?!" Merei snapped at Rab as he carelessly plunged the tweezers into Will's body without much precaution Sure she had said that they needed to take the bullet out, but that didn't mean that she wanted Rab to do it. She liked to take care of things herself, and for others to follow her direct orders. Otherwise she got irritated. However, by the time she realized what Rab was doing it was far to late to get him to stop. So instead, she turned to Will, in attempt to comfort the poor boy who was most likely experiencing excruciating pain. "I know it hurts, you can rest in a moment." She told him softly, placing her hand on the boys cheek and running her fingers along his skin in comfort before pulling away and looking at Rab.
"Next time don't just do something like that so carelessly." She told him firmly. "I'll do the stitches. I know how to do that. Don't you need to go fight or something?"

Rab's face hardened as he was reprimanded, "Fine." he said with a scowl, "And leave my friend? No. But I will guard the door." Rab dropped the tweezers on the night stand and walked gruffly to the door. Finding a stool he placed it a distance from the door and sat on it. He quietly reloaded his flintlock pistol and replaced it in its sash. He then did the same with his repeating rifle, then held it aimed at the door. What is in her craw? he thought, all I did was remove the blasted slug. ... arg, women.

"No one's coming in here, but do as you wish." Merei yelled out to Rab, before walking out of the bedroom herself to go into the bathroom to gather a few things. First, she rummaged through the cupboard until she found some rubbing alcohol, that way she could disinfect the wound. Then, she rushed about til she found some needle and string (which she was rather confused as to why she had that in the first place. She didn't exactly sew.) Finally, when she returned back to the room, she set the things she had gathered on the night stand and poured some of the alcohol on one of the few clean cloths left.
"Sorry, but this is going to hurt." She warned Will, before placing the cloth over the wound. It was vital that she disinfected it before doing anything. Besides, the medication would be kicking in soon right?

"On normal circumstances I would agree with you, this area is obviously off limits, however the navy more then likely saw myself and Will come in here. Its only a matter of time before they come in here looking for us." he said. And we don't stand a chance... he thought to himself.

"Ah," he mumbled in pain as the alcohol was rubbed on his wound. "When will this be over?"

"Never." Merei said in reply, not trying to sound optimistic or anything of the sort. What? The truth was the truth, she wasn't the beat around the bush sort of person. "There's always going to be pain in this world. Of course getting shot is most definitely an extreme..." She pointed out as she reached for her needle and string, tediously poking the string through the small hole in the needle ( a job she found not fun in the slightest). She then tied a small knot at the end of the string, before leaning over Will's body, glancing over to his face before looking back down where his wound was. She had to admit the boy did have a wonderful build, if it wasn't for the sweat and blood he would be fairly attractive.
"Sorry about this." Merei then told the boy as she pierced his skin with the needle, going back in and out as if she was sewing a mere pierce of cloth. A look of concentration could be easily seen in her features, especially in her bright green eyes. When it came down to business the girl did exactly as she was supposed to.

Rab heard the comment and turned his head to see her. He shook his head and turned his attention back to the door. "Some bed side manner." he mumbled to himself. Who is this woman? So callous and straight forward... he thought, then it struck him, Right. A barkeep. He rolled his eyes.

"Pain won't always be in the world. However - Ah" He mumbled as she began sewing his wound. "If you believe that pain will always be in the world with you . . . . Well, that might as well be true. Ah!" William shouted, trying to ignore the pain from the needle sewing his skin back together. "I for one believe that there is more to life than just pain."

Rab smirked listening to Will, he said back to them, "Yea, theres rum too." and laughed. So he was addicted to rum? Everyone has their vices right? Getting bored of guarding the door he stood and meandered towards the windows. He watched the chaos below, a group of navy officers were fighting a butterfly trying to land in the street.

William noticed Rab looking out the window, observing the chaos below. He knew that they were missing out on the action, which was the last thing that both of them wanted to happen. "Rab . . . . You don't have to wait for me. You . . . . You go ahead and fight, I'll be down there soon." William breathed, still trying to ignore the pain.

Merei was silent in reply to Will's first statement, considering she had no idea how to reply to the boy. Sure she knew there was more to life than simply pain, but as to what that was she was unsure of. However, Rab so loudly how to proclaim that it was rum of course, which caused the girl's eye to twtich as she finished up sewing the wound, cutting the end off with a pair of scissors nearby.
"You won't be down there soon." Merei muttered to William.

"Belay that talk matey. I'm stickin' with ya." he said and winked. He moved away from the window and closer to William and Merei, to see what she was doing.

Merei glanced over at the boy, glaring as she did so. "Didn't I tell you to leave?" She asked him irritably, before averting her gaze back to Will.

"Yes. You did, and if you knew me better you'd know I don't listen that well." he said with a growl, "Do you think I'd really leave me bud up here with an injury?" Rab sat down on a nearby chair and yawned.

"No." Merei replied matter-of-factly. "But as a pirate I thought you would be trying to fight for your cause. Instead of waiting around for someone who doesn't even need you there."
