Do you still actual write the battle itself though?
If you don't I don't approve XD

Yes you still write it out. Heres an example:
Reks rushed towards Elle with his blade out. He gripped his sword tight but not to tight that he would lose it. He jumped up and slashed at Elle.
(Here you would roll a dice. If its a hit then you would go and say Elle took the hit and ya da ya da ya da. If its a miss you would say Elle managed to dodge the strike.)
And in between you can talk and whatever and make it more descriptive.

True but to me using the dice system is more easier because theres a clear cut winner. If you just rp then you have to just decide who wins and there always seems to be this one person who complains and say that they won. But then again I never had just an rp battle, I've watched them so I dont have the experience on that part.

Haha thanks nully. XD
Just the major flaw in the dice system I think is just that it wouldn't work for all attacks.
For instance, let's say my character uses a bomb or something like that. If 'rolled the dice' and was able to dodge that it just wouldn't make sense, you couldn't really dodge something like that unless your character had the ability to. The dice system wouldn't work when examining the unique abilities of each and every character.
Writing out the battle sequences would be more accurate and effective if everyone knows now to godmod.

Yea you're right but how would we be able to accurately determine who wins or not?

Theres no such thing as a clear winner. For instance, one of characters Khane, if he beats you in a fight, he's won because hes bweaten you. if he loses and survives, he's won because hes evolved, as per his basic ability, adn is now that much stronger.

Part of being a good Rper is not being afraid to lose a fight. In fact in some places losing makes you look better. It's a way of saying that your not invincable, unless your some b***h with a mirror. -stares at Jessie-
Long story short. If two people enter into a fight we don't need the D20 system because we aren't in second grade and should have the maturity to lose sometimes. In the end this causes for a story line to become even more detailed and even better because of the rivalries that ensue afterwards. Also In order to complete a basic attack using D20 you would need two post minimum to calculate damage and if you even hit. not to mention reactions and things like that. You would also need character sheets which are great for D&D because it is all pen and papper and moves rather briskly in a session but here would cause problems because that would limit a persons creativity due to the need for standard classes to decide things like health and skills not to mention standard weapons. It just isn't worth the time and effort it would take to put these things into play completely.
In order to Rp a battle right you simply describe your actio and the other person describes their reaction to your move. Simple rules are, no auto hitting or auto dodging, describe every move with as much detail as possible leaving no questions about what is going on, and most of all have fun with it. Don't worry Wrath you'll catch on.
Oh yeah and Jessie is kinda right. According to the D20 system a character can make a reflex save against an explosive if that character is in it's radius inorder to take only half of the damage. (d20 modern role playing game core rulebook Pg. 104)
And I agree that we do need to figure out some history for the three of our characters in order to make things more complicated. When you said that earlier I forgot that you were the Admiral's daughter and if others want to work things out with characters for story's sake I'm not going to stop them.

Furthermore on the bomb point, if you have the class skill Uncanny Dodge your reflex save makes you take no damage what so ever from things like explosions, and I was just throwing the d20 system out there because it is a more standardized system, so less bickering ensues with the crew, and more with Wizards... and if you want to bicker with those guys, be my guest.. .they have 40th Level epic Legal Ninjas...
