Valerian moved to side to allow her some room. For some reason she seemed a bit different, distracted, deep in thought. He lowered his ears slightly and took a step toward her causiously. "Did i do something to offend you?" He asked in a low deep voice that held a bit of concern.

"no... im sorry reality just hit me... never mind i guess i just... got scared." her ears flopped back slightly. " i am not used to getting close to people i mean lately i haven't been myself..." she mentioned looking to the side.

"Ohh... i see" He said softly sitting in front of her. "Is there anything I can do..?" He asked as his tail wrapped tightly around himself, his ears flattening against his head. It is my fault.. I ruined it.. ruined her.. He closed his eyes trying to rid the thoughts from his mind and when he opened them again he gave her a slight smile.

"There is nothing you can do you did nothing wrong." she smiled as she looked out at the sea. "Val i just need time to think please understand i need to know what it think." she smiled as she nuzzled his neck in comfort.

Val nodded in understanding. Things haven't been the same for either, though he liked the changed, it still felt foreign. He froze as she nuzzled him, looking down at her as she did so. "I probably do too, I haven't been acting like myself either." he said in almost an emotionless tone. He understood where she was coming from, but it didn't help the fact that he left his guard down and it hurt.

"well lets sleep on it." she smiled as she made her way into a den curling up in a ball in the corner. why did he sound so disappointed in me? she asked herself as she awaited for him to join her she loved being with him but love was such a new word to her, she had never felt it before.

Val couldn't sleep just yet, his mind was racing and if he head back to the cave now he wouldn't do anything but lay there. So he decided to walk for a bit, slowly wandering through forest collecting a couple berries to bring back to the cave when he returned. He took a good hour just walking, looking up at the moon before he headed back to the cave, finding Yusuke curled up in the corner. "Did you want any berries? I couldn't sleep so i went for a walk." He smiled weakly and placed the berries down, taking one into his mouth before he laid down not to far away, curling his tail loosly around him.

"Thank-you..." she smiled as she took one she wondered where he had done after the first 40 minuets she got worried but she new he would come back, we she hoped he would she rested her head on her paw's as she looked over at him, is this the real Val then...? she asked herself as she was scanning her mind for something to say. "how about we go back to the beach tomorrow? i'll have you another race." she smiled over at him.

"Your welcome." he said bowing his head slightly to her. He used his paw to roll another berry toward him and when it got close enough he picked it up gently and ate it. Smiling, he looked back at her and nodded. "Sure, sounds good." Curling up into a ball on the floor he laid his head on the cool ground with one of his paws covering his face.

She smiled as she also curled up to go to sleep hoping tomorrow will be a new start. A silence came over the cave as she closed her eyes and drifted of to sleep.
Next morning she woke up early as she walked over to Val as she licked his check what he didn't know couldn't hurt him she stepped outside the den as she laid on the floor looking at the sun raise what a sight the orange and pink sky was beautiful even more so the fact that she could see it she had began to see colors but they were not that clear.

Valerian awoke to the sight of Yusuke laying on the floor staring at the sun rise, he moved to stand and walked to her side, sitting next to her to watch as the sun slowly rose over the horizon. The changing colors, the bright red, orange, pinks and slowly as it got higher the colors changed to more light pinks, light yellow and blues. He hadn't really watched many sun rises or sun sets in life, but he had to admit they were simply beautiful. Looking over in her direction he smiled slightly. "So are you ready to head to the beach?"

"Yeah come on Val lets go." she smiled as she stood up no longer able to see many of the colors in the sky as she jumped over him landing on a rock in the direction of the beach. "and i still owe you that race!" she smiled as she jumped down onto the path starting to run but all the time looking back over her shoulder at him.

Val smirked at her eagerness and took off after her. "Just be sure to give it your all" He yelled teasingly. He gained a bit of speed as he raced down hill toward the beach, but slowed as soon as he hit the sandy beach.

She smiled as she came to a stop on the beach just behind him as she looked out on it, her stop was not really comfy though as she crashed into his back them both going flying as she laughed madly looking down at him with a small smile as she blinked, she closed her eyes as she kissed him on his lips soon jumping off and into the water with a blush on her face. why did i do that...?

"OooF!" He yelped as she slammed into his back. He laid there looking up at her, frozen by they're sudden closeness. A small smile came to his cheek as kissed him lightly and went bounding off, but still he didn't move. She... I thought.. He moved to stand and followed her down to the oceans shore, his face beaming with a certain calm.
