"No and unfortunately we can't see in the dark either not that type of fish for naiads" He swam back up and looked around "Just head back up until you see me" "We don't know what's down there and if it's dangerous" He sighed and tried to think of something that could work underwater and cast light.

Coral nodded even though Des couldn't see it. She swam back up until she could see again. "Why not this way? It's shallower and so it's lighter?" She said as she pointed to where she ment. She wanted to explore, but not where she couldn't see.

"I guess it's a start" He swam towards the shallow end and sat on the bottom. Laying back and looking up at the surface "Amazing how something can look totaly different under here"

Coral sawm over to him and looked up. "Yeah, the ripples from here are sorta like the sky on land...only we can swim in them." Coral chuckled and did a sorta summersault in the water. "I guess those pae can do that too, they have wings. I guess flying must be like swimming."

"I don't know" He sighed and floated back til he was facing forward again, straight. He closed his eyes and yawned for a bit, the water was making him alittle sleep "Fins glide through the water and wings glide through the air, but we can never have both" He sighed again and pushed his hair out of the way "I guess even with legs we'll never be like them, but it's only natural to want something others have, though more like a bad habit we an never lose"

Coral looked back up. True they could and would never be able to fly. "I guess that's true. And they can swim, but it's not the same as us. We are more built for it then they are. They cant' go down as deep as us."

"I guess it's just what we were given as a gift to our species?" He closed his eyes and floated around quietly for a bit before opening them again "The guardians gave Pae'il flight and us underwater abilities, but they also gave us a way to connect with the others" He looked at his necklace "I wonder who th guardians really are?"

"I don't know. Could be a giant banana for all I know." Coral giggled as she looked to the rocks. She found a nice shaped one and ran it through her fingers. "I try not to think about it."

Coral nodded and then tossed the rock towards him. It just lazy floated his way. "Oh, I see. Me I see the lighter side of life. If I'm not making someone laugh then I don't see the point."

Coral looked at him with a smile. "Ooh, do you think I'm pretty?" She joked and didn't mean it in a mean way. "Yeah, you are the only Naiad I know that's a teen too." She told him in a more serious tone.

"Yeah, exotic in a way" He smiled refering to her clown fish design "I guess even if there is other naiads out there, they're somewhere else" He blew few more bubles thinking "Isn't this the only water source on the island though?" "I guess they found a way to make their neckalces last longer, if it's even possible?"

Coral smiled at the compliment. She then thought about it. "Well, there might be more water. I haven't looked. I think it works longer the older you are. I could be wrong." Coral had thought that becasue of the adult who didn't seem to get in the water too often.

"That's another possibility, I never really been too far from the lake to look" He got up and brushed the sand out of his hair, well more like wash the sand out "It was so nice to finally walk on land, but I guess it's too much to ask for it to last forever?" He sighed and looked back up "Oh well we can't have both the land and water, I guess the land is shared by us and the Pae'il, while we have the water and they have the air"
