heavy metal is great but so broad, to an extent everything can be considered 'heavy metal'
acdc and accept will always remain my favorite though

I know lots of people think Iron Maiden are the greatest ever, and I love them to death too, but Halford gets me every time >_> Besides, most people know the 'classic' Maiden anthems by heart, but how many of you can list all the best Priest songs? Imo the best of Priest beats the best of Maiden any day.

heavy metal`s pretty good, though i don`t listen to it much
my fav hm bands:
-Iron Maiden
-Judas Priest
-Black Sabbat
and i don`t know if Sigh is considered heavy, but if it is... Sigh too 3nodding

There are waaaay too many to list.
But alot of you guys seem pretty hooked on Iron Maiden... I can't have a favourite band, I just have songs I like.
I'm a pretty indecisive person at the best of times, but the bands I've been listening to lately are: Wolf, Sword, Halford, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Toranaga (anyone heard of these guys? I really wanna know if you have!) and so on...

Thank you! One of my favourite bands of all time. Anyways, I love Heavy Metal. Judas Priest are the greatest band in the history of mankind. Mercyful Fate and King Diamond, although hard to catergorize would still really fall under heavy metal, and they are two more of my favourites. W.A.S.P I have just recently been getting into, and they are freakin awesome. I LOVE Blackie Lawless. Ozzy's 80's stuff is awesome. Not too big on anything onward, still good but not as blistering cool as his early work. I also like Sabbaths Heavy Metal stuff, excellent! My favourite Sabbath era. I also consider Dokken Heavy Metal (Many may argue with this) and I love them.

I love Priest,Ozzy,Sabbath,Maiden,Dio,WASP,Skid Row.But Priest shall be my all time favorite.
