Gabby raises her hand and says"The bottom of lakes in Britain, Ms. Raina" as she smiles at the teacher. Felt good to prove that she had kept up on her studies, despite the occassional daydreaming of Lupy.

Kat slid into class and quietly shut the door behind her. She quietly settled down into her seat and looked up, hoping that Ms. Raina wasn't going to yell at her for being so late.

Raina notcied Kat slip into class late, but for the sake of her class, she didn't say anything, rather she continued teaching. Raina tapped her wand to the small statue in her hand and the little creature grew until it was no more than 2 feel tall, and very much alive, but aparently rooted to the spot on Raina's desk that she had placed it. It moved as if it was deep with in the water, and it reached it's long, brittle fingers out towards the students as if to grab at them.
"Who believes that we have grindylows here at hogwarts?" Raina asked her students as they staired at the new little creature before them.

"Sure there are" said Sam, raising her hand, just long enough to drop it back down. "I heard the Triwizard Champions had a bit of trouble with them durring the tournament a couple years back" she concluded.

"Good Point Ms Scott." she said almost laughing as she smiled at the energetic girl. "Does anyone know how the Champions got past these sea creatures?" she asked curiously.

Gabby raises her hand and says" I heard it was Moaning Myrtle that had assisted in directing Harry Potter to safety by showing him to the merfolk village. It has been said that the Merfolk have domesticated the Grindylows" .

"Yes they have, but there are still wild Grindylows, much like the one you see before you, that live deep with in our lake." she said nodding at the creature before her. "Now we don't have much time left, so I'd like you to go ahead and start on the assignment that will be due for next class,.... Which is to come up with ways of warding off, or getting away from a grindylow, should you meet one in their natural habitat." She said sweetly and pointing her wand at the movind creature before her, she flicked her wand and the creature shrunk back down to the small stone statue that it had been before. "Feel free to talk amongst yourselves, and when we meet again, we'll try them all out." she said smiling.

Sam jumped up as if her seat had been made of fire, and bounced energetically over to Gabby's desk. "Now we have something to do durring that study group" she said glancing at Lupy and then giving gabby a wink.

Lupy waited for the girls to finish exiting the classroom, before he gathered his belongings and approached Raina. "Excuse me Professor Black" he said, in the most polite voice he could get.

Lupy hesitated for just a second before saying "Well I was wanting to talk to you about something"

"Well, I was on my way to my office, Why don't you Join me, and we can talk more there" she said kindly as she carried her books and statue down the hall to her small office.

Raina reentered the classroom with a single book in her hand, and a small box resting ontop of it. She set the box down in the middle of the desk, and then set the book off to one side. she then sat down at her desk and let her mind fall prey to the millions of thoughts that had been waiting to overrun it.
