Alpheus glanced at the newcomer.
"Where do you people keep coming from? And of course they're gone, I wouldn't go to the village if they were still there. That's suicide! And why the hell," he said, turning to Marten, "Were you at a burnt down village in the first place?"

Marten met his eyes calmly. "For the same reason you're going there now. Curiosity." He walked calmly on. "I've found," he added," that adventurers are usually drawn to each other whenever there's danger. It's uncanny, but it's true."

Constance giggled. "This is going to be fun! I'm going to come with you. I can smell the fresh blood!" She smiled. "Now I have three play mates..." She mutterd to herself.

"An obligation? Ah nevermind, none of my business. Let's not waste anymore time, shall we?" Alpheus asked. He turned and started walking North again.

"Right, let's go. You're all free to do as you will. Follow if you want. Leave if you want," Mirado sighed as he began walking north. "I have other things to worry about at the moment."

Alpheus sighed. "I have a feeling that this is going to be a long journey. Perhaps I can work on my weapon along the way then. I have been wanting to give it another enhancement, but what...?" He continued on down the road next to Mirado, still pondering what to imbue his weapon with next.

'Well, this is an interesting group..." Mirado thought as he walked. 'Two demons, a human, and a cursed outcast...' However, his attention was soon drawed elsewhere. The air became chill. It was not the kind of feeling one gets from the wind or even from winter. It was an empty, unnatural cold. The village had to be near.
