Zher Kaki Pan I mean I won the award for having a crappy life, but I've made it this far. I know some people that would be a very close contestant Kaki Pan At the least I won't be losing anything by believing in God. At least I'm comforted by the thought that He will always be there when everyone has ran the other way as fast as they could (which happened alot.) If it is all real, which I believe with all my heart, then I'll make it to heaven. Honestly, I would have killed myself without the knowing of getting to go to heaven. i call it my pillow Kaki Pan I would think that your lost of interest in youth may be caused by your drug problems and your anti-Christian friends. It prolly makes you fill like a minority and that everyone is attacking your life-style and your core being, when in fact they prolly don't know anything about it. That is sorta true... but I actually hate most Christians. I cant see from their point of view because i cant stick my head that far up my a**. Kaki Pan Give God a chance. Try your hardest to be a Christian and get some new friends while trying to lead the other ones to God. I think that you'll see a dramatic change and won't wanna go back to drugs and stuff. God is always there even when you aren't. Drugs are better than being a close-minded person that is full of ignorance And no offense, but drugs are NOT better than being close-minded. Which a lot of non-christians are (like athiests stare ) Drugs kill off a person, where as close-mindedness can make a person seem annoying. So... yeah...

Zher Yea... i mean in the quote of Marlyn Manson "Reach out and touch faith" . People of Gaia, prove to me there is a God. You cant... the Pagan religion (not non-Christians, the branches of Paganism) is much more believable. I mean its all there in front of you, the elements, Sun, Moon, you can see it... Its there... is God? nobody in this guild, or on earth can tell me yes. Because do they honestly know? No... But even as i sit typing this i hope God forgives me. I am really doubting, but i deep down think there is a God. But what? I dunno... Youth group seems to have lost its meaning too... I just space out and silently criticize the lesson. I dunno what to do. I have been seeing more and more points and meaning behind what my Anti-Christians friends are saying, I have been doing drugs... All in all... Life ******** sucks I remember my first years in youth group I had a lot of fun topics were relevent to what we the youth were dealing with and we were helping out in our community then suddenly the Bible became the focus we stoped doing community projects and I lost interst in the group I always wondered how experiencing a drop in the relative intelligence of a room of people would feel and then I had my first conversation about intelligent design (also note I have had conversations about creationism but I already knew I was talking to a pack of sheep) I had such high hopes for each of them but alas they are beyond help

As Christians, our goal is to make you aware of our beliefs and all that. Not convert you, therefore no one has to convince you, neither do we have the right to try to. End of story.

Morbid Ranebow As Christians, our goal is to make you aware of our beliefs and all that. Not convert you, therefore no one has to convince you, neither do we have the right to try to. End of story. then why did Jesus tell us to go out and make disciples of all nations? this make it kind of obvious that a goal it to bring ppl to know Christ so that they might receive eternal salvation. we just have to keep in mind that it is not us who saves the ppl but God...we are just the ones that carry the message. it still comes down to the person's choice in the end. they can choose to reject God or accept him...but it has to be either or...no in between.

It allows us to be able to grow Closer to God in a way that we cannot do simple by just going out and doing. both listen/learning/studying and going out and doing what we've learned are both highly important parts to what it means to live a Christian life. Jesus himself first taught his disciples through instruction and example and then told them to go out and do it them selves so that they can know what it means to live a God followers and just learn what it means. looking within ourselves does not always work when trying to get an answer b/c we still have our human nature within us. it taints what we can do for good. As Christians the Bible must be the final authority on all subjects...if we cannot call it the final authority then we need to recheck our perspective and refocus on God and not ourself

I for one am tired of inaction. Its time to look inside ourselves for answers and not to an outdated book of perverted fairy tails. Ok that was out of order. The key to western theology is not to think about it...perhaps because the path is already set before you. That doesn't fly with me. I would much prefer to think criticaly about an issue than ask "What would Jesus do?" or "What does this book say to do?"

I would much prefer to think criticaly about an issue than ask "What would Jesus do?" or "What does this book say to do?" and yet with that Lutheran perspective, the Bible calls Christians into action. it is part of the very core of what the Bible tells us. we are told to "go and make disciples" to take care of those that are hungry, thirsty, and naked. we are told to take care of orphans and widows...and to have compassion on those who are hurting (which is everybody). if your looking for action it's all throughout the Bible. Christianity isn't supposed to be a static religion it is supposed to be alive and active and making a difference. however our western culture has caused us [as a whole] to become apathetic and only think about ourselves. they ignore the verse that tells us to work out our faith. without action our faith is dead...but then again without faith our works are pointless and don't mean anything in the end

Any good deed is meaningful with or without faith. Faith is not what gives meaning but rather the smiles that come to the faces to those whose lives we touch. There can be no greater joy than to shine even the smallest ray of hope to pierce the darkness that surounds us. This can only be acouplished when people take action and I for one have had enough of story time.
