It was with a pronounced pang of sadness that Amary realized that Dante was serious. To think, he was actually willing to leave so soon, just when the night was starting to send out it's enshrouding darkness so ideal for romance!
But it wasn't a totally lost cause, she decided with a grin. He was interesting and she'd enjoyed the evening, gotten him to smile, laugh, AND voluntarily offer a request for another meeting! If that wasn't enough to flatter a girl, then she'd like to know what was!
Pulling back out of the trees, Amary walked over to Dante, nodding her head in agreement. "Well, I'll miss you, Dante, but we'll DEFINITELY have to get together to continue this hunt. You can't truly say you've lived until you've had an apple, after all. But this has been fun, alright!"
Giggling, Amary leaned up and gave Dante a nuzzle, rubbing her nose affectionately against his before stepping back, flipping her wings in preparation of flight. "And you'd BETTER see about finding me, otherwise I'll be cranky the next time we meet, and you wouldn't want that." With that, the mare attempted to adopt a fierce countenance, one spoiled by her dancing eyes as she looked up at the stallion. "So...you'll find me, of course!"

He felt a small blush mold on his face, but he knew the female's affection was just a kind one. He was very oblivious to Amary's own personal thoughts, but her affection was well received by the stallion. "I promise, I will definitely find you. I'll also look forward to our next meeting, you just wait." And the funny thing was, Dante wasn't just saying something like that casually. He would actually await the day that he could see his friend again.
"Be safe on your flight, and until the next time!" Flashing her one last smile (and this time, he tried to make it nice and bright), he turned in the opposite direction, only so he could mold himself against the trees, which helped in blending him into the darkening atmosphere around them.
Finally, he could go to sleep that night having pleasant dreams, knowing that there were other things in life beyond fear and worry..
