Samwise Chubb Dark Tanuki Y'know what I'd really like to see? The Freedom Fighters! I know it won't happen, but what if Sonic and the other furries found a way home, and took Chris with them. Then everything would be reversed. Chris would be the one out of place. Sonic and his buddies could show Chris around Knothole, and the new season would feature the Freedom Fighters. I'd just die! whee Except, in Sonic X, there is no Knothole, nor does Eggman rule. So there'd be no point for Freedom Fighters. I'd love to see a new series, set in the Sega universe, with South Island, Westside Island, The Little Planet, Angel Island (well, yeah, it did appear in Sonic X already) and other such locations getting a mention, heck, I'd settle for Flicky Island. That said, I'm just a fan of the Earth that Sonic and Co live on, the city locations and such that have been focused on in the games since SA1 (and according to Sonic X, are on Chris' Earth), aren't my cup of tea. I'd much rather the quiant little villages like Amy Rose's House and "The House of Cream's Mom" I've got my fingers crossed for the future eps being all in Sonic's world with one human named Eggman, anyway. we dont know that there is no knothole in sonic X. it takes place in chris's world. there could very well be a knothole in Sonics world. I think there might be one in the next season. Archie is now producing a Sonic X comic so Sonic X might be geting something from them.

Nuala What would you honestly like to see happen if a new season really is being commissioned? Who would you want to see more or less of, and what would you like to see them do? What developments would you like to see - any particular game adaptations, long story arcs, or just a picaresque, self-contained episode each week? What's your opinion on the idea of a new season in general? ANOTHER new series? Wow, that's a shocker.
Anywho, if there was a new series, I'd like it if they tried to lay off the whole Chris thing. I mean, Chris didn't seem to be taking up as much time as he did in the first two seasons, but still. I guess it'd be cool if it turned into some Kingdom Heart type anime; with the Sonic characters having to go into different Sega games such as Nights and having to figure out what the heck is going on.
Less Chris like stated before.
A new season in general; well, if they're doing another series, great, but I hope this one will be the last. sweatdrop

So, how did the first episode fare as far as the dub's concerned?
I'm still kicking myself for letting it sneak up on me; I had no idea the third season would be shown so soon -_-;...gonna make sure to catch the second episode tomorrow, that's for sure.

They're showing the dub in the US already? I've still only seen the subtitled French versions, so I won't comment except to picture myself throwing darts at the image of that emotionally stunted whiny brat who can't get on with his life or let anyone else do the same...

Here were my thoughts: 1. They gave Cosmo an English accent. At least it's not annoying, but it still does not suit her in my opinion. 2. They cut out about 5 seconds in the beginning. Okay, so it wasn't a major loss, they just cut out a scene in space where nothing is happening before you see Super Sonic's yellow light. 3. They edited the scene with Sonic and Knuckles. Knuckles originally suggested Sonic should use the Chaos Emeralds, and then Sonic told him he couldn't because he sent them off into space. 4. They kept the orignial English opening. They should have changed it tof it the new season better.

Prince Valon 1. They gave Cosmo an English accent. At least it's not annoying, but it still does not suit her in my opinion. That's a rather subtle way to make her an Other when compared to the nother cast members. I'd have to hear exactly what sort of an English accent it is to comment further, though - I'm guessing it'd most likely be Received Pronunciation, since the US seems largely reluctant to accept that English accents other than that or Cockney exist. Hence I get mistaken for an Australian occasionally when I'm in the US. wink

Well, least I caught the second episode, which wasn't too bad, really. Though, did anybody else feel that Vanilla (on a side note, I loved how they kept the "House of Cream's Mom" sign intact XP) was just a little bit too lax about letting her own daughter journey to space? razz
And, THANK GOD, Chris wasn't a whiny brat this time...least 4Kids got something right for once...

Unfortunately I can't comment on the quality of the dub, as I've only seen the French sub. I can say, though, that although I was a confirmed Chris-loather, he's far less annoying in this series. At the risk of stating what's been said before, he's pretty much taken more of a back seat and is acting as Tails' tech support. Which is fine by me!
As for Cream's mom's lax attitude, just wait till the Chaotix get involved...

If you were talking genuine RP, your accent'd be so clipped it'd be almost doubling back on itself.

Join the club smile Whatever accent I have, it's not from Stockton-on-Tees! As for Cosmo's accent, it makes a nice change that the British accent doesn't denote evil megalomaniac - not that we don't do evil beautifully on the screen smile DW

having been sent an episode of a freind, i can say that i think cosmo's english voice suits her. it's soft and polite.. and certainly not posh or cockney english, which is all i seem to hear from american translations when they're trying to be english. :p (i wanted to throttle whoever dubbed hellsing.)
i've managed to avoid a pure wiltshire or wolverhampton (known as 'yamyam' for some reason) accent so far. goodness knows where you'd place me.

Warnersister As for Cream's mom's lax attitude, just wait till the Chaotix get involved... I can already imagine...... eek It won't be pretty for episodes 59 and 78.
