"Oh that's very interesting!" Sarria acted as cheerful as she could with Viktor standing close by, which wasn't very, but it was enough to at least sound polite, "If we both became scientists we could, uh..." she trailed off, trying to think of something.
Viktor ran his tongue across his teeth as Snow spoke to him, waiting a bit before answering, "Of course you haven't. There's a reason for that." And indeed there was. He prefered to remain known only those whom he wanted to know him.
Sarria, unable to think of something interesting to do as a scientist gave a shrug and blinked twice. "We could do something cool..."

"We could work together," Snow smiled over at her, when suddenly she felt a hand land on her shoulder. She started for a second, then she found herself looking up into the dark eyes of Alice, "Dad! You're supposed to be at work!"
Alice smiled down at her, "Ended much earlier than expected my love." His eyes glanced up at Viktor, "Ah... a shame that you claimed that you don't recall me, Viktor. Remember the Eros Project? Four years ago?" He shrugged, "With all your tall dark and brooding, you were hard to miss."

((=P *Horror music* Alice wouldn't know Viktor's name though, so I'll just pretend like that wasn't there, because he'd never care enough about any one he works with to let them know his first name. In fact, I'd imagine not even his employers would know his first name, considering he usually only works for those who don't ask questions... ninja And he wouldn't really work in 'groups'...per se, but I'll say he ventured out one time. ))
Viktor had shifted his breifcase from one hand to the other, and had taken his eyes off of Snow only for a minute. When he looked back up his expression grew even darker if possible when he noticed the other man who was, for some reason, talking to him.
When Snow's dad came over, he backed away a few steps until she was standing against Viktor and looked up to make sure Viktor wasn't looking before she gave him a quick smile that was gone almost as soon as it had come, "Hello, you must be Snow's dad, considering she just called you dad..." trailing off for a bit she then looked up at Alice, examining him, he seemed to be alright. "You worked with him, daddy?"
Viktor didn't answer right away, but when he did it was said with a sneer, "I tried hard not to."
"Oh..." Sarria said in a half whisper, giving an 'I'm sorry' look to Snow.

((Okie dokie *shalt remember that* just figured he would have probably had to work with people at some point... so I ran with a thought))
Alice merely watched Viktor, "Almost a year, and yet still so cold? How hurtful. But then, I suppose there are two brands of scientists, the ones that never shut up, like me, and the ones with..." he tilted his head to the side, eyes shining sadisticly, "No people skills what-so-ever."
Snow winced a little and gave Sarria her own 'Sorry' look. Wierd though, that Sarria's daddy and hers had worked together once. They seemed fairly... opposite.
Alice, however, remained bright, looking over at Sarria, "Yes, I am Snow's father, Alice Mayzer, a pleasure to meet you. And I must assume that this is also your father," his gaze traveled back to Viktor, "An interesting meeting, I must say. Our girls meeting, fast friends I should hope," he mentioned, tapping Snow's chin.
"Yeah... Yeah, dad, this is Sarria. And her dad, Dr. Rakov... but I guess you already-" Snow started, but Alice interupted.
"I don't believe we were ever introduced. Our Project was mostly... without names. For funding, one might say, our own projects, should we help that group with theirs."

((That's okay, it would have been impossible for him to not have worked with a little group at one point. And aww, look how well they all get along! Clearly they all love each other so much!))
"It's very..." Viktor stopped Sarria before she was able to say the rest of the sentence and looked down at her. The two seemed to be communicating in silence, or rather Viktor did, and in truth, the only 'communicating' going on was his glare. "It's very...unfortunate that I had to meet you." Blinking twice, Sarria looked down at the ground, it was rather awkward for her to say something like that.
Viktor, however, behind the mask of his sneer, couldn't have looked more proud. Giving her an appraising small pat on the shoulder, he looked back over at Snow and Alice, "Oh, I have 'people skills.' I merely reserve them for people only." Then eyeing only Snow his stare grew into a look of disgust, "How nice, that's what I've always wanted...Sarria to be great friends with...that."
A quiet voice, almost too faint to hear said something. It was Sarria trying to muster up the volume to say something to Alice. She cleared her throat a bit, and restated what she had said, "Yeah, Snow is really nice." A quick look from Viktor caused her to add an, "Ish. Nice-ish. Ish."

((Best of friends, I must agree ^_^))
"Hum... ah, yes, I suppose that's why you've always hated yourself then," Alice said, face that of the utmost pleasentness as he continued to rest his hands on Snow's shoulders, while he then looked down at Sarria, "Your daughter, I must say, is stunning. I am certain that she will be quite the killer when she gets older." What he meant by 'killer' was something that seemed to be in the eye of the beholder.
Snow smiled, trying to releave some of the tension between the adults by looking over at Sarria and shrugging helplessly, "Yeah... you're really pretty Sarria. She's really friendly too..." She looked up at Viktor, unsure of how he would take that. He seemed to be the anti-christ of being friendly.

Shifting his breifcase again so his free hand was closest to Sarria, he looked down at her after Alice's comment. His cold expression slowly transformed into an almost evil plotting-like look.
Sarria, on the other hand, looked worried as she repeated the word, "Killer?" She looked from Snow to Alice and back again her eyes getting wider when she noticed the way Viktor was eyeing her.
"Yes." Viktor said rather quietly as his eyes slowly moved back to Alice and Snow.
Unsure of how to react to the compliment she had just gotten, she mumbled a thank you, "You're very pretty," a hand on her shoulder made her jump slightly before again, adding another word, "Ugly?" A nod from Viktor let her know that was good enough for him, though with the 'very' in there, it made no sense.
"She's friendly?" Viktor suddenly asked, sounding less pleased as he rose an eyebrow and his voice lowered into a growl.

"All in the eye of the beholded my dear," Alice smiled, looking up at Viktor, "I think you're quite the charming character. I remember you as being one as well. Though... I believe during the project you only had yourself in mind, you did convince our employers to add another zero to the end of the scientist's paychecks."
Snow looked over at Sarria, sighing a little, looking up at Viktor, then back to the other girl. She wished... she had liked it more when it had just been the two of them. Their fathers seemed to have met their complete evil-genuis opposite, but she had thought that she and Sarria, at least, could have been friends.

"Oh." Sarria responded quietly, keeping her eyes on the ground. When she felt Viktor's hand lift off of her shoulder, she looked back up at Snow and checked to make sure Viktor was distracted with Alice before she smiled and mouthed, "Especially your wings." adding more onto her comment about Snow being pretty as well.
A scoff from Viktor was the closest there could have been to a laugh as he thought back to that. Whether or not he was about to smile, evily of course, would never be known, since his look darkened once more when being called a charming character.
Meanwhile, Sarria was inching her way toward Snow taking little babysteps every few seconds.

Snow inched forward, glancing between their fathers, nodding over her shoulder that they should try to make a run for it.
"You do have a certain dark charm about you, you know?" Alice smiled, "I've always admired things like that in people. Don't take it as a compliment, or do, if you wish. I could never quite tell with you, whether you enjoyed it when people though well of you, or you hated it. I always tried to figure that out."

Sarria returned the nod with a nod of her own as her baby steps began going sideways.
Letting out a growl, Viktor rolled his eyes, "No, no I don't. I do hope that poor...freakish...butterfly thing of yours ends up nothing like you." That was rather random in a way, and he glanced over at Snow before continuing, "It's like...it is some sort of expiriment gone horribly wrong. Terribly deformed. Just look at it. Can it do anything else besides fly around, or is it completely uselss?"
"And where do you think you are going?"
Sarria froze mid-step and turned around to look at him, "Nowhere? I was just going to sit down...here." She plopped down and motioned for Snow to take a seat next to her, "Yep, this looks like a good spot. Nice grass...yeah."

Snow nodded, "Yeah, just sitting down," though his words did sting a bit, she would let it go. Since he was wrong.
"I've done the biological genetic testing myself," Alice smiled sadisticly, though he personally seemed to take little offence "The girl has a brain like nothing I've ever seen. Super adaptability, memory, hyper-intelligent, the girl is smarter than anything anyone has every seen. Certainly smarter than you or I. Never seen anything, anything, like this. Everything she reads or hears, she remembers, and her own thought is far superior to that of our own. For certain she is... in a weakened physical state, as a butterfly, but the whole flying thing certainly has its advantages. Sometimes, Doctor, you should know as well as anyone else, that what you see is almost never what you get. And if you think she's deformed, you should see what the original looks like. I always get a kick out of it."

Getting comfortable, Sarria crossed her legs and leaned forward to rest her elbows on her knees, "I'm sure he doesn't mean that." She whispered to Snow.
Still watcing Sarria and Snow carefully, he listened to Alice before shaking his head once and still looking at Snow as if she were diseased. A second shake of his head was given when Alice mentioned the 'original.' "I can't imagine anything being uglier."
"He didn't mean that either, there's nothing wrong with you, or your face, or wings." Sarria told Snow, "You look normal to me." She took out the spider from her bag and set the carrier down in front of her, making sure the spider couldn't catch sight of Snow, just to be on the safe side. Looking down at him and stroking the plastic, she asked, "Maybe you can give me your phone number? And then I can give you mine and we can, uh, play together sometime?"

Snow smiled, "It's alright. Dad says I have a healthy self-esteem." She nodded at Sarria's idea, "Yeah, I think I'd like that, we can play while our dads are at work," She whispered in Sarria's ear, "Then we can name your pet!"
"And what does yours do, if you don't mind me asking?" Alice asked, the very face of innocence... sort of.

"Yeah, that would be good. Especially mine..." glancing over at Viktor a moment, she quickly looked back at her spider, "Yes, that is quite important. He can't be nameless forever! Poor guy."
Moving just his eyes so they were focused on Sarria, they narrowed before answering Alice. "Allow me to show you." Setting his breifcase down, he folded his hands behind his back as he turned to face Sarria and Snow.
"It needs to be a cool name, or like a, uh, I don't know. Kind of like..." She stopped and frowned slightly and eyed Alice and Viktor. "What are you guys doing?"
"Why don't you let your little...pet...out."
"But I don't think he likes Snow..." Proving her point, she moved her knee out of the way so the creature could catch sight of her friend. Immediately, it turned and raised up in a striking positioned as it let out its strange hiss.
"Go on."
With a sigh Sarria unclasped the lid and watched the spider carefully as it waited before practically charging at Snow.
Viktor was slowly nodding his head as he watched, imagining Snow being bitten and what not.
"Stop." Sarria told the little arachnid, "You want to stop." Holding out her hand, she continued, "Come here." She patted the ground. Although it looked quite reluctant it backed away from Snow, still hissing until it had sat itself on Sarria's palm.
