[[I typed this and had it completed, then i submitted just before getting dissconnected. i dont feel like trying to remember the detail i put into it. sorry. but heres the question]]

After long thought, he finally decided to answer.

"All mighty, I have a question for you. How can you answer my question truthfully like you say you will, if you are just a machine designed to test and learn more about me?"

This is a logical question, requiring some thought. The machine most likely will not want to admit that it is a machine or that im correct, but it will have to tell the truth for that is the promise it made, as an 'all mighty being'

(shame I'm sorry, i tend to Ctrl+Alt+c all my text for just that reason. Even so it's highly annoying when it happens.)

Interesting, most people accepted the machine as reality very quickly but there was always one or two more logical minds. And what now? Should she answer him or siply ignorethe question and move on? No she couldn't do that. She had to answer something.

"Because it is not we who have the answer but you, and you are us, thus we have the truth."

This was to a large part true. The machine would draw upon knowledge, memories, and feelings stored inside the person to come up with a suitable answer to the question. The doctor stretched her arms above her head and sighed. She felt like some fun after all this serious talk. A good fight perhaps.

He was in a tropical jungle, sand and earth underneath his feet. The sound of the sea mixed with the sound of birds, creatures, rustling of leaves and.......footsteps. Around a curve in the path in front of him a man appeared. He was rugged, full of scars, dirty clothes, a great big gold ring in one ear, and a bandana around his head. It was the stereotypical image of a pirate. When he saw Shadow Dragon he stopped and stared. After a few seconds his face turned flushed and he cried,

"I rec'gnise that filthy mug of yer's! Yer that good for noting scoundrel what killed me mate Tom."

He draws his pistol and fires with his sword raised above his head in the other hand ready to strike.

A pretty simple scenario. She decided to spice things up a little bit though by placing in the pirates pocket a treasure-map.

Hmm, he must have me mistaken for someone else. The only way I would have attacked his mate, is if his mate was in the proccess or about to harm someone. It looks like, understanding my current situation, im going to have to fight.

As he thought, the pirate continued to yell at him, and his gun fired. Instinctually and with unnatural reflexes, Shadow pulled his katana out of its shief, and blocked the bullet, richocheting it into the sand.

"I do not wish to fight you, but if I must, I must. Hope your skilled." Shadow stated to the pirate as he continued to charge, flailing his cutlass above his head.

The pirate swings his sword down upon Shadow with a brute force. Shadow blocks the powerful attack with his katana. He retracts a little in responce to the blow, then returns with a powerful shove, pushing the pirate back, and causing him to take a short pause of breath to recover from the counter. The pirate then starts again. Using quick movements, the pirate started to push Shadow back becuase of the blocking being done.

Pretty good. Hes probably been doing this all his life.

Then, Shadow saw an oportunity and took advantage of it. He rolled out of the way, causing the pirate to over swing, burying his cutlass into the sand a little bit. He then pulled out another pistolblock this one, a** hole and shot Shadow in the abdomen, near the kidney. Shadow ignored the pain, for he knew that death would be worse, and if he flinched, death might come. He, in responce, removed the hand holding the pistol with a shuriken, which lodged itself into a thick tree.

The priate yelled in horror as his hand fell to the ground, still holding the pistol, but only for a moment. He then seemed to only get pissed off. Shadow backed up, to allow his enemy to recover a little bit.

Its not a good idea to allow this man to attack barbariously in a rage

The pirate drove his rist, spilling of blood, into the sand, and gave out another yelp. He then stood up, and procceeded to attack again.

"Argh, i will kill you for that one scervy!" He yelled as he charged at Shadow. The pirate came fast, faked, and put a slash into Shadow. The pirate smirked, for he knew he connected again. Shadow calmly passed the other direction, paused, then stood erect. The pirate turned, and looked at his enemy. What!? He acts as though its over. What happened?

The pirate would have looked down, if he had more time. What!? this cant be. How? It happened all too fast. The pirate was so proud of his successful fake, that he didnt notice the quick and precise actions of Shadow. Then, before anything could change, and the events undone, the pirates torso seperated from his legs. "What?!! No! I didnt even feel it. It cant b..." He said as his torso fell into the sand.

Shadow bowed honorably and respectfully to his apponent.

The doctor laughed out loud. There was something about her patient's manner, his arrogance and self-confidence that was just hilarious. She replayed the scene one more time. The best part was the scoundrel's face as his body separated from his legs.

She took of her glasses and started twirling them in her hands as she thought. This man was a goldmine, she was sure the fun was far from over. The doctor was curious to know what other possible talents Shadow Dragon posessed.

"Hey boy! Quit dreaming and start chopping them onions!"

He was in a kitchen, obviously. Around his waist was a dirty apron hinting that Shadow Dragon was in fact working there. The kitchen was small and rather grubby. Besides himself there was only one other man, a middle-aged rather pork bellied head-chef who was stirring a large pot. A whole in the wall had some trays of ready food and a waiter came by to pick them up dropping of a new order at the same time.

"And when you're done with that you can start on that carbonara sauce. And for heaven's sake don't let the poatoes over-cook! I'm going to take a smoke now so you're in charge of the kitchen boy."

And without further ado he left the kitchen by a back door leaving Shadow Dragon on his own.

"But the show has only just begun. Who else can we mix into the pot?"

The good doctor went back to her list of patients. A new name caught her eye.

"Delfino? Yes I remember her. Seemed rather lost and confused, doesn't appear to be entirely human either according to her readings. Hmmm well let's run you through a quickie love to get some sense of your character."

Space and darkness. A wooden floor underneath her feet, angled upwards behind her. A heavy, musty smelling fabric in front of her. The sound of whispered conversation and the rustle of clothes. In her left hand was a quilt pen.

Suddenly the fabric dissapeared into the ceiling and she was staring out over a sea of expectant faces and everything had suddenly gone very quiet.

"Yes sir, ive got the onions." Shadow responded to an old man as he increased his cutting speed. He had been cutting too slow for the head chef, but that was just before he realized the scene.

Wow. This is interesting. I only know enough about cooking to feed myself, not be a chef. Thisll be interesting. !Potatoes! theyre done

He put the cutting knife down on the counter and went over to the potatoes. He looked over the side of the pot. He turned down the temperature so they would simmer and stay warm.

Im in charge for now. Guess I better look at the orders.

As he went back to the onions, which were placed in a plastic bowl, all cut up, he noticed the other cooks looking at him. The looks were of despise.
He heard them whisper to each other, "He doesnt even know how to cook all that well, why does the boss put him in charge?"
Another whispers back, "Maybe its his sence of timing."

Shadow now looked at the order. Then grabbed a batch of cucumbers and started cutting them, he instructed other cooks to take care of the suace and the orders, while he preped the ingredients.

I might not be able to cook, but I can lead. No point in panicking or loosing control.

- Shadow Dragon

(well he was actually on his own, I did say that there was only him and the old man in the kitchen but I'll let it go wink )

"Well he doesn't seem to be star chef material. Sure knows how to handle stress though. Actually that probably has to do with the dact that he thinks he's dreaming."

She sipped her tea and stared at the screen for a while. Protect the weak huh?

He was standing in a wild field, full of grass and the scent of flowers. Behind him, across a small dirt road, was a forest. A shadow across the ground him told him there was a bird above. In fron of him was a path cutting across the grass.

All of a sudden a small mouse ran across the path. It was closely followed by a thin red fox. It's coat so shabby it was more brown than red. The mouse dived and hid under the leaves. The fox frooze for a moment, only a meter away from Shadow Dragon, getting ready to pounce on the mouse.

Suddenly the fabric dissapeared into the ceiling and she was staring out over a sea of expectant faces and everything had suddenly gone very quiet.

Her three eyes quickly glanced through her surroundings, each one moving according to their own will. It was then that gravity forced her down, knocking off her balance center. She was on a platform beheld by many people. Carefully, she picked herself up, dusted herself off, and sat with her misfit tail propping her up as though she was sitting.
It felt awkward having so many eyes centered on her. Was her life but a dream, and she forgot a speech to deliver?
"Greetings, gentlemen and ladies," she said to them after a length of silence that she felt was her duty to break .An ear curiously tilted, indicating her eagerness to listen to what they had to say.

"What a strange creature!"

The doctor had never seen anything like her. Most interesting. The way she adressed them was no surprise but the way she seemed to await a response was curious.

"Listens to people? Lives to serve perhaps, curious.................. I wonder how fast those strange legs of hers can run."

Delfino was standing on a green hill. Around here was emerald green grass, rolling hills, and blue skyes as far as the eye could see. A bark was heard and up the side of the hill came three huge black dogs. Fangs barred, growling throaths, they left little confusion as to their intent. To eat her alive. Or at least try very hard to get a nibble of her.

Delfino's back now turned to the three dogs. Aggression swirled within her eyes. Her mouth opened, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth. Foul, acrid smelling liquid dripped from her lips. Her wings opened, giving the illusion of growing in size. An angry tail beat against the grass, nails lengthening in response to her predators' threat.

The dogs hesitated and stopped dead in their tracks. The doctor rather flinched herself when she saw Delfino's reaction. But when her surprise had abated her curiousity took over. She gave her minions a final command.

"Attack!"

The three dogs attacked in unison. One aiming for her eyes the other two for her limbs.

- Shinoko Saito

"Hmm a mechanic."

The doctor was looking into a new file, it was an interesting patient. She smiled.

"Maybe she could use a change of scenery the poor dear."

A great hall. Shinoko was sitting at a great table in a rich room. Candle light, delicious food, gold, the chatter of conversation all around her. Everyone was in evening dress. She herself was wearing a dress in shimmering purple, her hair was tied up and she was wearing diamond jewelry. A man sitting to her right smiled at her and said,

"Indeed I have always considered wine to be the superiour of all drinks. Wouldn't you agree miss?"

He poured her a glass of red wine as he spoke.

It occured to her that these curs meant business. Even so, Delfino had no desire to see these beasts hurt; she had other matters to attend to. Her body began to melt, disappearing into the ground with a gentle fluidity. A summer water puddle was all that was left. The puddle hissed with violence, showing off its malevolence with a darkened blue aura.
