Mwali grinned, showing a thick mouthful of powerful fangs. "...no...we will not die. We have the Goddess' blessings. This is a test of our faithfulness to her and the gifts she has given us. This desert belongs to her blood, to those that live by her law, and spill the blood of the impure and unworthy for her land to drink...."
He lifted his head up, slowly glancing over her way. Perhaps... she seemed a worthy lioness. Strong, ambitious, and obviously very loyal to the old ways. She was a fine specimen of their lineage. "Would you be willing to help usher in this new age of the firekin? The mother of a new age? Your name forever immortalized like Makadari's himself?"

Azachamorel thought for long moments, staring out at the blazing sands before speaking a response. When she looked back to Mwali, it was with bright eyes illuminated by ferocity - the eyes of a lioness of the Blood. This was not for glory, no. This was for the goddess, for the future.
A pure future, and the reign of a king who could make them all remember what it was to be a child of Finar-si, born of the greatest of lineages. Her consent came in the only way such feeling could be voiced - in a roar to the heavens, heartfelt and strong.

Mwali grinned in approval, pride swelling into his chest once more. Magnificent... a powerful queen to begin a new era for the firekin. A savior of sorts.
He drew in lungful of the hot desert air and let it loose in a roar to join up with hers, the two of them sending a powerful thunder over the desert. The first of similar roars that would very soon fill the nightmares of all lesser lions.
