Van smiled abit, "and by the time I'm through with everything, they'll never think that it's worth it to come for you if I'm in the way and everything will be okay. We'll be together for as long as we wish." Van was trying to stay optimistic about everything, in fact it was the only thing that kept him going under the looming cloud that hung over him.

"As long as we wish?" Ciara asked him, as if that idea was insulting. "What are you suggesting that you wouldn't want to be with me forever?" She continued in that snappy way of hers. Her fiery personality was finally showing through once more.

"No babe I want to be with you forever. I was just saying that I wish to be with you forever and that I hope you wish the same." Van didn't want Ciara to be upset with him because of a simple misunderstanding. In his train of thought being without her would, in his words, bite.

A smile spread across Ciara's lips as she looked up at Van. "I do." She said to him, with a glint in her eyes. Happiness had overcome her for that moment, but that was only because she wasn't allow herself to think about anything dealing with Kyoko. She wanted to be happy, but still she couldn't help but think they were wasting time.

"I love you too." She said with a smile, before getting shoved back into reality. "But shouldn't we be focusing on-" She sighed, she really needed to be stopped. Her priorities kept getting all jumbled up. She did so love simply being with Van, but she also wanted answers.

Van lead her over to the small couch and sat down with her, "Babe I can't take her from your memory or thoughts as simply as I can an item from that chest from it's container. I understand that it's hard not to think about what might happen but try to stop doing that and start thinking about what is happening right now." Van had always been an epicurian and never tried to worry too much about the past or future even though his thoughts did wander from time to time.

"I can't do that." Ciara said with a sigh, keeping her eyes focused on the ground. She didn't want to look towards Van for then she knew it would be much harder to say what she wished. "I've always been consumed with my past and future. There is no way I can let go of such things at a time like this."

"To say that I'm not would be a lie, but I know that I'll have to jump that hurtle when it comes. I can't let myself worry to much or else I would go off the deep end." Van still stared tenderly into her eyes, it seemed almost as if he could get lost in them and find an eternal paradise.

"I think I'm already off the deep end." Ciara said with a nervous laugh. She just couldn't stop thinking about it: all the tortures she was going to face. It was going to be like a repetition of her childhood, only far more painful, and no matter what she wasn't able to get her mind off it. Sure, Van was helpful but he still wasn't averting her thoughts away from the horrible subject.

Van wanted to take her pain away so badly nothing came before Ciara in his mind not even his music. He would leave his guitar in pieces for her if he had to, just as long as he could be with her.

Van had started to think back to what the witch had said, "She already has enough power....and....and if you give her what she want I'm afraid that...that..." It was becoming harder to say what Van was thinking at that moment because it was the reality that Van mot feared. "That she'll k..k....kill you because you don't have anything that she wants anymore. As long as you don't submit you live babe." A tear formed in Van's eye lingering over his cheek.
