I don't mean to completely ignore the OOC world..it's just that all the roleplaying I've done over the years in tabletop or LARP or whatever I learned to try and stay away from OOC as much as possible to avoid having the "oh crap..I know this as a player but the character doesn't but I just reacted like I did" sort of thing...
It has become habit for me to try and not discuss a ton of things OOC'ly because then they influence IC actions in instances where they shouldn't..even if it's just a completely subconscious thing.
does that make any sense?

Perfect sense. You conscious and your subconscious are not cooperating with each other very well. Most of my RPs are usually more larp style, so I end up using the OOC thread to get to know the other people better. Sometimes I end up planning out things here, but mostly, I just talk to people.

Let's play 20 questions, then. ^-^ My favorite book...I can't pick just one. All of the Vampire Chronicles and what I've read of Anne Rice's other books. Exquisite Corpse and Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite, as well as Liquer, Wormwood, and The Lazarus Heart. Judging by her writing style, I'm pretty sure I'm going to like the rest of her books, too. All of Demon Diary and Yami no Matsuei, although I haven't read them all yet. Saiyuki, Planet Ladder, Ragnorak, Hellsing. To Kill a Mockingbird was a good book, too. And Messiah by Boris Starling, Hannibal, Silence of the Lambs, and Red Dragon by Thomas Harris.
