i think im going to get started on a lirin for this summer...ive been working out really hard, and i think id be able to pull it off..im short, hyper, and i have large breasts =^_^= i dun wanna dye my hair blonde tho...scary. but..i shalll!

2 years ago I think it was at Otakon Saiyuki was VERY popular. I say 2 complete Sanzo parties. 2 Sanzo's just floating and 2 Goujoys just floating as well. I also happened to spots a Kou party as well and they all look good... expect for the Yaone.. she needed... more support if you know what I mean.
We ran into Homura at the Burger King ^-^ And aslo my badge from 2 years ago has Saiyuki on it ^-^

There were alot of Saiyuki cosplayers at Otakon last year, too. And this year, I'll be with a group! <3 I'll be Hakkai, Caelumi's gonna be Sanzo, her sister's going as Gojyo, and we've got a couple people to choose from for Goku, depending on who's able to go to the con with us.
I better be the only person going as chibi dancing Gojyo, though. mad I wanna be ORIGINAL! XD

Soreyle Man, I wanna see someone cosplay the Gaiden characters. That'd be rockin'. That can be arranged! For AMA, me and some friends of mine in our anime club are trying to get most of the Gaiden group in a cosplay skit! (w00t) (We already have Konzen, Goku, Nataku and Tenpou . . . we might have a Kenren as well!) Also, my friends were recently at Katsucon as Gojyo, Yaone and Kou-san! (Poor Gojyo . . .) I might post a pic later! Oh, BTW . . . . I have another friend that's thinking about cosplaying as the "jeep" . . . . I would pay good money to see that . . . . . Has anyone seen a Saiyuki group with the jeep? Just curious . . . biggrin

I went to my first convention last year and I made a last-minute, half-assed attempt at a costume...At registration I was joking with my friends about how I looked like my costume looked like a drunken monkey sewed it with his toes. So one of my friends decided to call me "monkey queen", but since I had anime on the mind I got all excited and started yelling about how I didn't want to be the monkey queen, cuz that would pair me with Goku, and while I don't really have a problem with Goku, I love Hakkai much more...
...Well, as I'm screaming this on the top of my lungs a guy came around the corner dressed as Hakkai...he even had the monocle and a stuffed "Hakyru"...I saw him and went completely nuts...it took 3 of my friends to restrain me from glomping the poor guy as he very turned very quickly and ran back around the corner...then I ran into the same guy like 4 more times that afternoon and when I tried to apoligize he ran for his life... sweatdrop
I'm probably going to cosplay as Hakkai or Gojyo (even though I hate him cuz it would just be the easiest thing for me to do...) for this year's convention...I'm definitely going to crack up if I run into that guy again....

I've finally gotten everything for my Rinrei costume, yay, only sewing left! I've decided to do Rinrei for AX05 and Narutocon. And if my sis isn't going, then I'll be doing Lirin (otherwise its Eliza from Shaman King) too. Can't wait! *starts dancing* And I hope for a super cute Homura to be there!

For an event a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I made "ghetto" Saiyuki costumes. (It was an interesting mix: Gaiden Goku, Gojyo, Hakkai (me), and Sanzo (sans the robes . . . yay. Sanzo in jeans . . . *drools*)) Then we did it again for Goku's birthday party where we had an unexpected guest: Homura! *drools some more*
It was great . . . . Pictures coming soon! wink
I still need to work on Konzen though . . . .
