"I know" Ed said to Lilianna, giving her a smile and a small nuzzle of his own. An ear then perked to Trelweny's voice, golden eyes blinking curiously. What was Al doing out there? Speaking of which... Edward heard his brother's voice in the other room. "Hey Al! In here!" he called. Ed too worried about his brother, but well.. its not like they were little kids anymore.. but still... that big brotherly protectiveness factor still played a role.
When his brother finally did appear, Edward grinned... certainly being happy to see his younger sibling. "There you are.. c'mon, have some breakfast. Where were you?" He didn't bring up the obvious fact that he'd grown, but he was sure that Alphonse would notice soon enough. After all... when he grew, they were some rather dramatic growth spurts.

Alphonse was wary at the unfamiliar things inside. However, he breathed a loud sigh in an attempt to calm down when spoken to.
"Still getting used to the idea of magic," He said quietly as he continued to follow the sound of his brother's voice. He finally moved into the kitchen, eyes and ears attentive as he took in the new room.
He was silent as his attention fell on Liliana, and he lowered his head slightly, mumbling as if stumbling to say something that was on his mind. It was quickly gone again as he stared at his brother, taking in his new appearance.
"Wow, w-what happened to you, brother?" He stuttered, staring at him, in a mild state of disbelief. "You... you grew!" A broad grin set over his features and he moved over, lightly poking at his brother's wings. "You're even bigger than me now!"

Aiden just chuckled softly, returning to play with Theron as their guest went to the kitchen. He remembered fairly well how Liliana had been very confused that alchemy was not magic when it was so much like the wizard's transfiguration and how she would speak with Remus of magic & science and how either could really be proven or not -for often the werewolf-kitsu had conversed with the Highlander audio afterward.
Gold patterned white tails wagged gracefully behind her, a smile melting away what remained of her worry as Liliana saw her mate's brother framed in the kitchen doorway. Then her green eyes seemed to quiver, her tails falling in her uncertainty as Alphonse looked down and mumbled. What was wrong? Did he... not like her? The crimson furred witch felt her wings dip limply down her sides. Maybe it was something else, but Liliana so wanted them to be friends her emotions preceded any logic beyond the the first conclusion.
She did manage to smile again though, at Al's clear excitement to Ed's growth. And shot a warning glare at the twins as both pairs laughed. Others had come and gone, but seeing more entertainment to be had hanging around the fullmetal for the moment the Weasleys had remained. Except for Ron who at some point had stomped from the room to his own after getting fed up with the teasing. "Should we give him an apple or a badge for that feat of perception, George?" "Hmm... Badge maybe? Saying something like "alchemy: spans worlds & still safe for braincells'." The Ginny kitsu snorted. "And what would you two know of braincells?" That got the four of them -and this time the anthro Ginny too- laughing uproariously and shouting 'good one, Ginny!' as the others of the household in the kitchen laughed, giggled or snickered along. Trelweny, drunk, giggled and fell off her chair onto her rear while she gripped the back of her chair with one looped arm, her belly with another. As she did, everyone seemed to feel even a bit more giddy as she leaked the emotion of her laughter.

Even Edward had to wonder about his brother's mumblings.. not entirely sure what it was about. But he didn't really worry.. if there was a problem, he was sure that Alphonse would tell him in due time. After all.. they were brothers, and there were few secrets between them. Although its not like there had never been.. but the majority had been from Ed himself.
A roll of his eyes was given to the twins who seemed to enjoying poking fun at his brother too. "Okay.. knock it off" he said in a light hearted manner. Poor Alphonse already seemed to be rather flustered. However, the elder of the two blinked at Al's reaction to his growth then grinned. "I sure did!" he crowed, puffing out his chest and sitting as tall as he could. But even as Alphonse came close and said Ed was bigger than him.. he couldn't help but try to compare. Although he was disappointed that his brother wasn't really correct... Edward was still just a little bit shorter than his younger brother. He inwardly pouted a little, but didn't mention it outloud. Perhaps nobody would notice, and think that Ed actually was bigger. There we go! Aheh.

Alphonse pinned his ears back at the Weasley siblings comments. "Did I say something wrong?" He said, feeling very silly and embarassed now. If he didn't have a layer of fur on his face, it would be easy to notice that the bridge of his nose had gone a nice shade of red. "You need brain cells to perform Alchemy..." Had his comment really been that silly, and worth making fun about? He shook his head and sighed, letting it go. They were probably just having fun.
He smiled in amusement at his older brother, then ducked his head subtly as he noticed Edward was comparing them, in an attempt to bolster his ego a bit, and make him feel better.
"So what is there to eat?" He grinned finally. Without another word he began to playfully nudge his brother aside and reached across the table, attempting to steal up an apple with his paws.

Liliana shot the twins a look/ "They do that all the time, Alphonse. It's just how they are."
"You think this is bad, should see them on another day." Cedrella piped up boldly from beneath her mother's skirts, 'hiding a bit just in case "Yeah. The twins would laugh during the end of the world alone if you'd let them. Nothing they don't do to most anyone they can get a rise out of."
With a wave of her wand Ginny scooped servings into a bowl and served it to the younger Elric on a plate with a grin while someone else gave him something to drink. On the other side of Ed from him Liliana smiled shyly at "I'd... wanted to introduce you to everyone, Alphonse. Just not at once, though thankfully this isn't everyone..." Lily dipped her head, all but hiding her face in Ed's neck though she managed not pp "Didn't want to overwhelm you... though I'm sure you already are, today's going to be emotional enough as it is."

Edward blinked and growled a bit as Alphonse pushed past him to get at food. "Hey!" he protested loudly, for nothing got between Ed and his food! And he would have protested more, except his short artificial limbs caused him to lose his balance and topple off his chair. With a shout, Edward crashed to the floor, looking most peeved as he managed to get himself wedged between two chairs in a rather awkward fashion. Looking similar to a Kitsu sandwich. Flailing his limbs in frustration, he eventually righted himself.
Huffing indignantly, Edward hopped back up onto the seat to grab Alphonse in a headlock. Even if his brother was getting use to this new place, he wasn't going to always get off easy!

The younger Elric brother made a successful grab at the apple once it was within reach of his paw, not at all seeming bothered by his brother's yelling noise. He was quite used to hearing that, that was for sure. Alphonse was quick to snatch up the apple and take a bite, promptly wincing at how sour it was. Oh well, it was food. After having his soul trapped in a suit of armour for so long, even a sour tasting apple was better than not being able to taste it at all. He took another few bites, determined to finish and enjoy it.
His ears were raised high on his head at Liliana's statement. "There's more of you living here? I'd like to meet them, that would be..." He never finished his sentence and trailed off, going silent for a moment or two. His ears immediately flicked back as he watched the female nuzzle his brother's neck, and the young alchemist turned his attention away as if awkward and embarassed by the sight, also seeming quite troubled. He didn't enquire on the situation though. "Today's going to be emotional?" He said quickly, as if attempting to divert from the subject of his concerns entirely now, and the possibility of it coming up. "Why is that?"
After hearing the crashing sound however, the youth looked down. A sudden laugh erupted from him at seeing his brother wedged between two chairs.
"Sorry, brother!" He loudly chuckled. "I didn't mean to----AAGH!!" He promptly tensed up, tail fur bristling as he was grabbed in Edward's headlock. "Let go of me brother, that hurts!!" He yelped, continuing his struggle to get free again. But it was no use, Edward had him quite stuck. "How could you be so mean!?"

"Oh... those are for cooking, Alphonse. Here have a gala or fuji. We normally don't eat the tart ones." Brown eyes flickered in humor from the red-headed witch's face as she floated a bowl of the red & yellow blended fruits towards the alchemists, then with an amused look hovered it there as Ed fell. Ginny could not even hide her smile as her 'brothers' burst out laughing.
Unaccustomed to Edward falling -although he had slid down the sand dune on their venture- Liliana gave a gasp as he slid between the chairs. Still she knew better than to give him aid... her mate had his pride. There were too many watching. As Ed pulled himself back to his chair -the twins of course laughing all the harder and congratulating themselves on staying around for the 'show'- Lily's giggles joined the others' as her mate put Al into a headlock. Shaking her head & smiling Lily casually as she could manage lapped at her mango juice. Trelweny, still on the floor, had tears running down her cheeks from laughing so much. "Many more. As for emotional... well... the last time Edward grew took a lot out of me I know. Maybe you're used to Edward having his automail changed... but I'm not." Green eyes still laughing flicked at the 'wrestling' brothers, but there was a worried sadness behind the laughter even with the more hidden trace of excited anticipation. "Or maybe it's different... because we have no Winry here, though Rikku and the others do try. We all try to do what we can."

Edward grinned as he firmly held his brother in a headlock, ruffling his hair with the other paw. "Don't be such a baby, Al!" The older of the two also laughing good naturedly at his brother's complaints. However, Edward cringed at the mention of what was going to happen with his automail. He had rather they not brought that up, cause it would be like Al to start worrying.
Edward relented and let his brother go out of the headlock, quietly thinking. Trel's announce meant that the last time had been hard on her, left him feeling guilty. He didn't want anyone to feel that way... because it was all a rather standard thing for him... even if the reconnecting of the automail was his least favorite and most painful part.

"I'm not a baby!" Alphonse was quick to protest, struggling with more gusto once he felt his hair being ruffled. At least it wasn't a noogie, but still, he didn't find himself enjoying it at all. "I'm not kidding, brother! Stop that, it really hurts!"
Once let go, he half stumbled back, half bounded away. The young adult promptly combed his hair again with his paw fingers, burnt-golden eyes glaring at his brother, a little annoyed. The young male promptly shook himself off and made a slight huffy noise, calming down again after that. Alphonse wasn't the kind to hold grudges, or stay mad for very long at all.
"I'm used to brother having his automail changed and repaired," He responded, frowning. "But that doesn't make it any easier to bear." He turned his attention towards Ed's limbs, blinking. He hadn't noticed that his brother's limbs were smaller until now.
"Oh no..." He said, ears drooping. "How are you going to get new automail without Winry around, brother?"

Lily sent Al a soft smile. No... she did not think she would ever get used to Ed's automail fixes either. And she had only sat through one so far... who knew how many his brother had.
"The same way he got it before." Said a new voice at the dooray, the black skinned GaiaCom witch leaning against the doorway with a frown that stifled all giggles but the drunken Trel's on the floor. The human actually seemed to giggle more shrilly, releasing the chair & doubling over. Myranda shook her head. "You'd be his brother Alphonse. Guess we can tell everyone to stop keeping an eye out for you now."
Rolling her eyes the android straightened and went for Trelweny, everyone between then backing silently out of the way. Only Locke seemed non-pulsed, grinning at Myranda and arching a brow cockily. She scowled at the cait but otherwise said nothing, lifting the giggling woman gently up in her arms though she looked to be only a few inches taller than Trel and of a more slender build. "When you're finished eating we'll be in the same room as before." Then she took Trelweny out of the room and everyone took a collective breath & smiled again. Especially the boys.

Really though... the most painful part was the surgery, when the automail was first attached to his body. He'd never known any greater physical pain than that. Still, he had endured it. Alphonse had been just outside the door the entire time as well.
He nodded to what the Gaiacom said, "Its not Winry's work... but it functions" he said to his brother, holding up his right arm. He sighed faintly, certainly missing how smoothly Winry's automail moved. He could tell a very distinct difference between Rikku and Winry's work.
It seemed that they were ready for him, and well... he wanted to get this done with as soon as possible. Not wanting to have too full of a stomach, Edward snarfed down a few bites before wordlessly jumping down from his chair to hobble to where they were waiting for him.

Alphonse lowered his head slightly at the GaiaCom's words. This wasn't the first time he had heard it - the other girl he had met mentioned others looking out for him before. But how?
"How did you know I was coming...?" He asked, puzzled, troubled by the thought. "Nobody has been able to answer me yet. I didn't even know I was going to go through the Gate myself until the last moment."
"I bet Winry could make the automail better..." He said in a low voice as he picked up another apple to eat. This time he took Liliana's advice, reaching for a more pinky coloured fuji-variety apple. He bit into it, wagging his tails at the sweet fruit flesh. That was a lot better!
When his brother moved away from the table, so did he.
"I hope this isn't going to be too painful for you, brother." He said inbetween bites of the apple. "But just think, after this, it's over, right?"

"Guess he'll be eating more after, huh?" George did not get to follow his twin's comment with one of his own as Ginny rammed her elbow into Fred's side and he doubled over from the shock more than the pain. "That's enough!"
Other than a quick grateful glance to the anthrobreedable female, Liliana ignored the other wizards as she lightly hopped off her chair and padded after the Elrics. "I bet she could too. Even Rikku says so. But she's not here..." The crimson furred female sighed heavily. "As for knowing you were coming... well at first we didn't. Edward just wanted to find you. So we started looking, hoping that seeing how he was here as a kitsu someday you would be too." Yes... no reason to tell him about the Anthro-cat Alphonse Elric that had found them while she & Ed were gone. In fact... they had never told the alchemists about each other. Their Al had found his brother Ed of the same 'species' per se not long after deciding to stay at Bellamue's smaller cottage over the more bustling larger cottage. It seemed easier not to say anything. "Zell really knows the most about how Kitsyn sees things I think. At least he looks the least confused when we talk about it."
