"Not many really. My dad donated a few braille copies of his book to the library. Just act like you did before and no one else will ever know. I just happened to notice because I was helping you. The key thing and the fact that you asked for the map, but never even looked at it until the end of the tour." he said without missing a beat.

"hmmm... that was a mistake on my part. I forgot everyone here is suppose to be smart." she said emphasizing 'suppose to be' but shrugged again. "It doesn't really matter, I just wanted to see if I could get away with it." She paused a second and thought trying to string the words together, it took a moment or two of silence before the thoughts finally came together. "That's where I remember that last name from. A book." She said quietly and marveled at the the fact she had finally remembered. Slowly the smirk faded back as it had before and she tried to maintain a semi-serious face, "But with all do respect, I'd like it if most others didn't know I'm... vision impaired."

"Like I said, they probably won't. Which name are you talking about?" then he thought it through. After he had mentioned his father's book she said something about a name. "You mean Elric? I am the son of the famous Edward Elric, the Full Metal Alchemist who successfully made a philosopher's stone and transmuted himself a new arm and leg and his brother, my uncle, Alphonse Elric a new body to replace the body he lost as a child. THey were all over the media. That's probably where you heard it first." Even though it embarrassed him to mention his father, he loved it at the same time. Being known as the Full Metal Alchemist's son was a great burden.

((I'm signing off for the night. night.))

"No I probably got it from a book first." Sonja said. "It takes a long time for news to get where I live, we have the local paper but it's mainly just editorials and stories by the other locals. But we do eventually get books shipped into town." She said recalling her home town. "I'd say the radio but we only get about 3 channels everything else is static." As she spoke more on the subject she grew slightly more upset of how far away from the real world they were. "But that's nice, having a famous alchemist as a dad would definetly be a great incentive to follow in his footsteps."

"You would think that, but it kind of stinks. Everyone expects me to be as great as him. Personally, I'm aiming a lot higher than that. I'm going down in history the only alchemist better than Edward Elric!"

'Hmm...I guess I'm not the new kid anymore.' Christopher had been on his way to the cafeteria, but he stopped behind Vanyel, and brought himself back to solidity, displacing the air with the slightest noise. He changed his mind about food. "Vanyel, when you're done talking the new girl's ears off, I'd like a sparring partner."

"Does everyone have high goals here?" Sonja asked, she knew it was a school for alchemy and everyone should have a set goal in life but she wondered if some were just trying to learn the art of alchemy. Were others trying to create new arrays for circles, antidotes, cures, new forms of elemental alchemy? She raised her hand to her chin as thought, she wondered if anyone would be researching the same subject as herself. She finally pulled herself from her thoughts as another voice entered the area and she tilted her head so her ear faced the direction of the sound.

"This is a prep school. Almost everyone has lofty goals. What are yours?" he asked the girl. The phantom alchemist had showed up, apparently coming to see the new student. "I'll spar with you later." Van said to him.

Sonja turned back from the new voice and to answer the question but she gave it some thought at first. "I'm trying to create a cure for disease of the heart, that often occur infants. I believe that vaccines or medicne would be able to remedy the situation instead of having risky operation, which some people just can't afford. If I can achieve this then I'll probably further my skills in alchemy for other medical purposes." Now that she said it her goal seemed still rather unattainable, having already 6 years of work and study on the subject, she wondered how much longer it would take before she finally finished the medicine. She believed it was possible so now it was amtter of time.

"Really. That's pretty amazing and I hope to be able to help. We have a green house with all kinds of medicinal herbs. The resident botanist is very nice and will help you out. He will also help you figure out what plants you might need."

As the limo approached the building Dalton laughed at the size compared to his grandfathers home. “ If I want to learn alchemy with and from people as bright as me this will be the place, and besides size doesn’t matter. he thought to himself. “ driver pull over here I’ll walk the last block,” he yelled to the driver at the front of the limousine. Getting out he grabbed his suit case and pulled out his umbrella. “ I was thought it was going to rain today. Well I don’t want to look stupid.” he said to himself. Taking out a piece of chalk he drew an elaborate circle with well practiced speed and perfection. Slapping his hands to the ground the usual bright light shown and a gust of air thundered into the sky. Moments later the oxygen particles he had charged did their jobs and the thunderous clouds began to form above the school. Standing up from the ground Dalton unfolded his umbrella. A second later the sky thundered and the pour began. Smiling at his accomplishment he grabbed his bag and walked inside.

As long as no one saw him perform his little trick he’d be fine. Inside the school the first thing he noticed was the walls. Most buildings were made out of stacked bricks but the walls were solid slabs of stone. “ Remarkable, ” he said with a twinge of aw. Walking through the maze of corridors he eventually came to the dormitories. Looking at the doors he counted up from one to thirteen. There were a few people in the hall, and the room right across from him was open as well. Pushing up his glasses he walked over to his door taking in the people that presented before him. There was a boy and a girl talking the boy looked pompous or maybe just very familiar with the school. The girl on the other end looked more timid. Walking over to the two he put on his most formal manner and said, “Hello, my name is Dalton wonderful weather we’re having isn’t it.

(( hope youi dont mind me joining in :] ))))

Looking out of the window nearby he saw it pouring out.

"Yeah. Odd though, It was beautiful out a little bit ago when Sonja got here. I'm Vanyel Elric, the Metal Net Alchemist. What's your field of Alchemic study?" he said looking at the other new student. It seems we have a rich kid on our hands here.

"This is Sonja, she used to be the new kid, but I guess that would be you now."

At the statement about the weather she turned to face the window in her room and she could picture perfectly the payne of glass used for the window as the rain drops beat rhytmatically against the building. There were so many different noises here she couldn't believe she missed the sound of the rain so easily. 'guess I got here just in time.' she said to herself and rested her hand on the echo-clicker in her pocket as she turned back around to the doorway where Vanyel and Dalton were conversing. She merely nodded her name in acknowledgement when her name was said in the introduction.

Looking out the window he smiled at his handy work Dalton loved the rain. “ Nice to meet you Vanyl and you as well Sonja,” Dalton said formally, “I apologize in advance for me being proper I’m not really used to talking to people.” Laughing ath vanyls comment he simply agreed, "" I guess technically I’m the new kid but when it comes to alchemy I learned from one of the brightest minds in the entire military. She happened to be a good friend of mine when I decided to learn alchemy.” he said trying to defend his own reputation. "Anyway since you asked I’m focusing on the field of new alchemic techniques in the science department. I have all of my own research with me, but I really love learning new things or just thinking up new techniques. If you want I could show you some of them first hand,” he said with a smile. This Vanyl didn’t seem so bad. “ Here you can call me Dalton, but for formalities you can just call me the Dark Snow Alchemist.” he said smiling at his own title. It had taken him years of work to earn that title. “ I was told there was a sparing program here can you explain how that works?
