Zeke watched, her interest perked, as Nadie flipped up to meet Bane. Or at least Zeke assumed that's where Bane was. She smirked and lowered her umbrella, replacing it in her trench pocket, on the inside so her books wouldn't be ruined. She entered the alley and stared up, her sunglasses shielding her eyes from the rain, to where Nadie and Bane supposedly stood. Zeke thought about what she was planning to say to Bane. I mean, leaving him unscathed after what he had done on a whim was rather unlike the cerulean haired vampire. She thought it over in her head twice, fixing any errors that might give Bane the impression she was a little newbie vampire who just wanted blood, then began to rise from the concrete.

She levitated several feet off of the ground for a moment, pondering what she should do, should Nadie decide to interfere. She calculated the chance of that, then thought of what to say to her. It appeared to Zeke that Nadie was no ordinary human, and her acrobatic skills proved that easily. The vampire rose several more feet, nearing the edge of the rooftop where the two stood in the rain. She dwelled on what to say a moment longer, then made her prescence known. Though she believed Bane had already sensed she was following them. She didn't overly care, and threw the thought from her head as she landed on the rooftop gracefully, her trench coat billowing around her legs.

"Good evening," Zeke stated casually, removing her sunglasses with a flourish and pocketing them. She stared with her cobalt eyes at Bane and Nadie expectantly, waiting for them to respond.

Bane was about to reply to Nadie when Zeke appeared, and announced herself in a way which reminded him of old horror films. His grin went even wider, revealing his sharp canines, and he thought, his wings ready to flick free of his jacket in an instant,"So she does have some fire... Then I won't remove her from the list... Yes the list Nadie now knows about... Hmm.... Well that means she isn't allowed to be on the list, cause now she will realize that I investigate each person carefully, watching them allways..."

Stepping away from Nadie, so that he was exactly the same distance from Nadie and Zeke, he said,"Well... Hello there... Zeke. Hehehe.... I guess this really is my lucky day..."

His hand twitched, his cold eyes flickering between the two Vampires, carefully watching them, ready for an attack, which he was sure would come with less than a moments notice.

Her keen eyes picked up Bane's hand twitch. She flicked her eyes back up to meet his, unblinking. "Yes. Hello once again, Bane," she said. "May I inquire as to what this list you have is?" she asked, taking a careful step toward him. She looked to Nadie for a moment, scrutinizing her cautiously. Zeke didn't know what she was capable of, and wasn't too keen to find out the hard way. She let her eyes drift back to Bane. "May I also ask just why this is your lucky day?" she took another, smaller step toward Bane.

The storm that had been pelting rain down upon them for several hours now howled in anguish, letting a tremendous crash of thunder rip through the sky. Zeke allowed herself to remove her eyes from Bane and look up as lightning shot across the black clouds. "Well, doesn't this fit the mood perfectly?" she asked, her eyes drifting back to Bane. She opened her mouth slightly, revealing her flourescent fangs.

Ryn suddenly scowled, his thoughts swirling with annoyance,"Another mind reader! Gah... They ruin all my fun, they do!"

"Well... Its my lucky day, because I get to meet, two people, from my list of Interesting beings.... But you two have ruined it now... See anyone who ends up on the list... Well they aren't allowed to find out... and when they do.... I'm forced... To remove them from the list... In the most permanent way possible...", He said, his gaze constantly flickering from Nadie to Zeke, completely ignoring the sudden flash of lightning.

His left hand twitched again, but other than that he didn't move, waiting and ready for almost anything.

Nadie was now slightly annoyed by the presence of Zeke, but at the same time relived. Bane’s thoughts had whirled about and right into her mind. so easy? Nadie was still highly confused about this, but this time managed to push it aside. She allowed Bane to tell Zeke his reasoning, although she so whished to brake the news to her.

Then in time with the flash of lightning that jetted across the sky her eyes flashed over to gray and her body froze. Images and voices flashed around her mind before she snapped back.

“Izeekiel leave this one alone.” her big deep blue eyes hard and fierce as she looked at Zeke. She moved too quickly that even if one had not blinked an eye one would not have been able to see Nadie put herself between Zeke and Bane.

Nadie herself still didn’t understand why she felt such a strong urge to protect this Bane… he wasn’t one of her own. Even her own didn’t protect one another. Covens were small and rarely heard of. Hers was now down to three, but this was besides the point.

The rain seemed to pick up as time felt as it were standing still. Zeke was going through many options in her head, but would she hesitate before acting? Nadie only hoped as much. Then she might have a chance at being able to counteract.

Zeke rose her eyebrow at Nadie's sudden actions. Then she let loose a deep chuckle, seeming to vibrate through the air. "Oh, you do make me laugh little girl," she said, a smile playing across her crimson lips. "I know for a fact I've been around longer than you, and am years beyond you in experience. Don't even try to challenge me." With that, Zeke vanished, her body seeming to blur. She appeared in an instant behind Bane, still smiling sadistically. She looked to Nadie.

"As I said, years beyond you," she stated simply. She raised her hand to where it towered slightly above her, willing the ice to form around it. It slowly began to, casing from her forearm to her fingertips in a thick layer of shining ice. She brought it back down to her side, allowing the ice to finish forming into a menacing point. "Now, Bane, would you be so kind as to answer my inquiry? Why are you so interested in the girl and I?" she asked as she raised her iced arm to point it at his back.

Bane watched in amusement as Nadie jumped in front of him, listening intently to their short exchange, before Zeke appeared behind him. He lowered his head slightly, a cruel, high pitched laugh escaping his lips, before saying,"You are interesting, because you are a Vampire, with a fire to her... and Nadie is of interest due to her past, her present, and her family..."

He turned around slowly, his eyes meeting Zeke's, before saying,"But now you have become something other than interesting... You've become... a Nuisance."

With the last word his face contorted into a purest rage, his void like black wings spreading wide, a knife appearing in his left palm, while a spiked ball on a rope appeared in his right.

"If you wish for death, than you have found him. I am Bane, The Destroyer.", He said menacingly, slowly twirling the ball over his head, and spinning the knife in his palm, his scaled wings creaking behind him.

Nadie simply rolled her eyes at Zeke… so it was going to go like this. No point in correcting Zeke in the fact that she was no where close to even trying. Then Zeke began on the path that would lead to destruction. Nadie rolled her eyes again, too quick to be noticed though as Zeke moved around to Bane’s other side. Nadie gave a slight yawn, then folded her arms to wait. This was just silly. No wonder why all the races besides humans were dying out… we were picking each other off over falling bookshelves and curiosity.

Nadie watched the path unfolded before her. If she hadn’t seen Bane’s reaction already she might have jumped into defensive kill mode, but having seen this already she was unaffected. After a few moments of glares being exchanged between the two Nadie thought it might be time to step in before some of the human tourists would get a lovely little show.

“So you have promptly a minute and forty seconds to destroy each other and completely clean up the mess before a large group of tourists loaded with cameras come strolling by…”

Zeke let out a light laugh and lowered her arm, the ice racing back into her palm. She continued to laugh. "It would seem the girl is right," she said, ceasing her laughing to look at Bane. "And, for the record, I have no intention of facing you in a battle," she continued on, "for I know my limits, and I fear that fighting you in your current state would only mean disaster for the both of us." She raised her arms in a stretch, then lowered them again. "Though perhaps you would be inclined to battle each other some other time, when there are no witnesses to be found," she said, looking down at the running colored dots that were the human's umbrellas'. Her eyes drifted back to Nadie and Bane.

"So, if I may, I bid you both adieu," she said, taking a long step backward, toward the other end of the roof and her escape route. "I do wish you both a very good night, and implore you, Bane, to find me, for I would adore battling you. Just, not at this present moment," Zeke said. She took another step back, nearing the edge of the roof now.

"If you wish to partake in the battle, you can find me at my apartment. The only one on twenty-third avenue. Room 1408," she informed the two. "I send my most humble partings. Goodnight." With that, the cerulean haired vampire flipped from the rooftop, landing in the alleyway below. She took off in a sprint, heading for her apartment. When she could no longer see the building Nadie and Bane stood on, she stopped sprinting and began to walk, her face contorted in anger. "Who the hell does he think he is! Little brat! Challenging me!? He is lucky there would have been witnesses. Oh, but if he decides to come to my home, his blood will be shed. Every last disgraceful drop!" she said angrily, receiving strange looks from the humans.

((For the uninformed, 1408 is a Stephen King novel. Or short story. Can't remember which. ^^))

Bane watched Zeke leave, stashing his weapons in his jacket, and folding his black wings underneath it, before saying to Nadie,"I already knew where she lived.... I will be seeing you again, though you most likely won't see me. Goodbye."

He walked away, without glancing behind him, and when he reached the edge of the building, merely stepped off it, dropping onto the ground below, and slowly walking out into the street. Glancing around, he slowly began to walk towards his home, shaking his now rain soaked hair every once in a while.

Eventually he arrived at a small house, its outside beaten and battered by years of being uncared for. Glancing around once, he slowly walked up the front yard, and entered it, closing the door behind him, and heading for his book room.

Raven stepped to the side as someone strode out of the place. "i wonder where they're going?" she thought to herself. She peeked inside and saw a few others but decided that she didn't want to intrude on anything. She continued to walk down the street to look for an inn so she could sleep.

Suddenly she realized that she was following the person she saw moments ago. She decided to catch up to them. She wanted company this night. Her gig over in the town across the way had gone horribly wrong and she had gotten nicked of her money.

She began to walk a little fast, and as she got a little closer to the them she sort of stuttered, "He-hello. D-do you mind i-if i walk w-with you?"

Nadie watched silently. Reckless. Simply reckless. Zeke’s actions to be were just that. Nadie shook her head. If Zeke and Bane did fight it would catastrophic! The noise alone would draw attention from the neighboring towns and could expose all of them. Then the aftermath… she stopped thinking about it. Her head was starting to hurt from all the situations that could happen.

Bane’s voice was now cutting into her head. She looked at him unblinking with her big deep blue eyes through the rain. As he turned his back on her she couldn’t help the smirk that crossed her face. She turned and took off so fast that the rain seemed to stop. She was on the other side of town in less then a second. Nadie whipped out a small black cell phone holding in a number then relishing it. There was one ring then she spoke to quickly, her words a blur even to those with excellent hearing. She slid the phone away and was racing through the rain again. She paused in front of small uncared for house… if it could be called that. In the next moment she was inside and settled herself in the shadows of the book room and waited.

Bane entered minutes later. He seemed unaware of her there, but that would change in seconds.
“Mr. N’kad..” her words smooth as silk. She waited for his reply and actions.

Bane stopped when he heard Nadies voice, blinking for a second before raising an eyebrow and smirking. Carefully he pulled his books out, and dropped them on the ground. His grin widened, as he softly said,"It seems you have your own sources of information...."

He carefully stepped forwards, past several shelves, towards where he believed her voice to have come from, his thin grey eyes searching in the darkness, picking out the details of his dusty books. Finally he stopped in front of her, and said quietly,"So... I assume you did not come here just to read my books?"

She had to hold back a smile as it tried to pull its way onto her face. Why was she wanting to smile? She was here on business. stay focused she told herself. Her deep blue eyes meeting his gray ones. She brushed a long strand of her raven black hair over her should. She had change since she had seen them last. Her strapless black and white dress was now replaced with a black fitted knee length skirt. Her torso covered with a lacy light blue top and her feet placed in strapy heels.

She took a step forward and out of the shadows, unblinking. “I’m here on business” her voice even and silky smooth. Her focus unwavering. She folded her arms and shifted her wait and waited for him to ask the simple.

When Raven didn't get a response out of the person she was following she decided to change direction, and head towards a dot that must have symbolized an old mansion like place. "maybe i can find some shelter there," she thought. The rain was cold against her skin, and each droplet was like ice. "stupid rain...i wish it would stop just for an hour or so. Maybe then i could see where i'm going," she said out loud.

She ran into an old mail box. "dang it! not that it hurt, but still." she realized that she was at the house. She ran up the walk and shyly knocked on the door. "hello? is anyone there? hello?! it's cold and i''m soaking wet. I need a place to stay for the night. Hello!?"
