Garret Erikson At the mention of a different world, Lucidity made a small "hm" noise. He stopped himself and mentally smacked himself. He then began to wonder why nobody had noticed his footprints. Maybe they were all daft. Being that Sahira had super sensitive senses, she knew Lucidity was next to them the whole time, the quiet "hm" confirming it. But as she had called him and Ancwalar over in an earlier post, she figured he had gone invisible to help protect himself from the sun, and made no comment on the matter.

((She called him over? eek ))
Lucidity stretched and silently yawned. [Well, I did anyway] He looked at Laurel and studied her. She looked familiar, but he wasnt aware of her powers either, just like the desert girl. He'd have to watch em closely so that he could learn them.

((I think Alloran here might be the only one who hasn't interacted with him for more than a minute or two))
"s**t, nuked? Yeah, but I was walking around. I don't generally pass out when I'm drunk." Alloran grunted as the sun cut out, but it was still plenty warm to keep him from caring. Either way, it was warmer than earth, and that was enough. "The girl ran into some portal or something. I can't much tell you 'bout it, I got there after, but I figured on savin' her, since I thought the Angel were workin on the war. 'Fore I knew e'reone got blown up." Alloran didn't stop walking in the direction, figuring that time was at least a little bit of the essence. Enough that running wouldn't make a difference, but that standing still didn't help.

Sahira followed after him, not willing to lose her 'air conditioner' she figured Ancwalar would catch up with the rest of them later, if not on their way to the caves. "I'm not sure how many have died, but I was absent for the actual explosions." Sahira said as she walked. "And I must admit I find it amusing how many different men are sent out to save or guard the girl for the angel's sake. I would honestly say love is a silly concept, made sillier on earth, but you'd think he'd have her locked in a safe box right now, that is if he truly cares about her well being. I admit I'm beginning to have my doubts."
The caves rose in the distance. Massive mouths gaping wide. It was easy to see a good sized city could hide away benhind the gaping maw. There was a darkness shading the front of each opening, like black cloth. It blocked out the sun for the city inside. To one side of the open cave mouth was a small side tunnel, an entrance that was not blocked by the darkness.

"You don't know the Angel, kid. Then 'gain, I suppose I don't either. He's a bit more'n most folk can know. He's got his odds about him, and he's strung 'round thin with this war. Don't needa even talk to him to know that. Krohv gettin itself nuked prolly ain't helpin. I talk more with the girl than him, and I can understand how she manages to get into trouble, even with him 'bouts. If there's trouble, she always seems to find it when he's not lookin'."

Sahira gave a slight shrug. "I haven't seen him in years, and I don't believe I've ever seen the two of them together. I was just speculating. I've seen her get into some messes, and it seems like the kid is just as bad. I don't envy anyone who would take up guardianship for the both of them." Sahira ducked through the small tunnel. "Stay close." She called back to the others before moving inside.
As they cleared the tunnel, and their eyes adjusted, a large city could be seen inside the cave, glowing with lights of many different colors. Some were flames, others were a soft glow, and yet others were like miniature stars captured in globes. The buildings were mostly made of sandstone, with wide roads that were filled with active movement. Against the end of the cave, deeper into the city was a large palace literally carved from the sandstone wall of the cave. Large towers twisted in an intricate design, while balconies overlooked the city beneath. It was a sight that always made Sahira smile.

"How are we supposed to find the girl if we all stay close? It's not like anyone's gonna lose me, I'm over a head taller'n everyone here but the Titan, an' he's still tannin' out there." Alloran moved into the crowd, scanning around for Ruby. The heat being let off by him from the direct sunlight would make most people uncomfortable, and any thin, fragile fabrics would likely catch on fire at close proximity. *GLARE*

((she just wanted to go visit Ra's world, there was no harm in it....>.>)) "If she was here at any time, we'll know. She is too unusual for my world to be lost in a crowd. The only people that pale come from the highest tops of the mountains. And no one here has red hair." Sahira began to move towards the city, down the sloping cave, and at a speed that was difficult to match. She was heading towards the gates where several guards stood. They were of darker skin than Sahira, and their features and clothes held a slight similarity to something Egyptian.
One of the guards readied a long curved blade as she came closer. As he got a good look at her his scowl turned to a grin. "Sahirana, and what brings the princess back home?"

Alloran moved to stand in front of the guards, staring down at them. "You all see a short girl..." He eyed the two guards. ".. a girl with curly red hair? Kinda important iffn' you have'r haven't."

A few of the guards signed protection over thier hearts as they looked up at the green man standing tall over their heads. It took them a moment to answer. "She was taken to the palace, as by orders."
Sahira gave a brief nod, it was as much as she expected. "Ease yourselves, and return to your posts. No harm is done here, so long as no harm was done to the woman and her son."
She let out a soft sigh and glanced back at Alloran. "We'll have to be dealing with my father after all, it seems. At least she was picked up by guards and not a merchant, or she could have been sold into slavery by the time we arrived."

As they entered the cave, Laurel let her shadow dissipate. "So what's your father like?"
