Lily lifted her eyes kind of soft and sad but nodded as Atae padded away. Yes, she understood about empaths. This was a hard enough situation for her to deal with, much less someone like Atae who could actually palpably feel what everyone was feeling. Liliana could only hope that her own emotions in this situation were not too painful for the sensitive femme.
Thing is... she had to believe Terasu had done the right thing. She had grown up under the guidance of her father, who much in part of what he was strove equally hard to not judge another on what they were or who their families were -except in a good way. Some one of already trusted family would be given more chances perhaps than they deserved even, but someone of unreliable family would be giving the same as one with none. That was how her father could count into his friendships two NightMares, one of whom was the embodiment of the terrifying Dementors of his 'before' and how Liliana took lessons from Severus. Judge on the 'now', don't blame the kits for the parents. To do otherwise... would be to disappoint her father. And herself.
She gave a soft sigh of relief as Edward apologized, moving her head lightly perhaps an inch up and down his leg. Feeling his glance she looked up with a soft but very proud smile. Then leaning back into his legs she tilted questioning eyes at Terasu. This was really between the brothers, while she gently supported and comforted her mate. Still... what could he be hoping to ask Edward? To be Godfather? Liliana hardly ever saw her own Godfather, Sirius, and sometimes wondered if the kitsu even knew Remus had appointed him the title.

Terasu had sat quietly as Ed spoke up, this time much calmer. That in its own was a great adjustment. He allowed a smile to the male, before reaching out and ruffling blonde locks. "Well, of course not! I'm just glad enough you can say that yourself." He had to wonder if any empathy was used, even when he had asked for none.
Terasu gave a toothy grin to Lily. She seemed to already know. How funny, between all the things she did and didn't know. An odd mix of intelligence and experience, learning to balance out. "Well, it's up to you..." And he raised a paw towards Atae. "My friend here has already gladly accepted the title of aunt." That was a dear comfort for the kids future. Terasu nudged his chin to Ed. "And, should anything happen to me, you'd be the godfather of my four young ones." No one else could possibly fill that role.

Ed watched as Atae left, feling somewhat guilty. AFterall he was probably the most emotional of all those in the room. "ARGH" he grunted as Terasu ruffled his hair, swatting a paw back at him, "Hey!" He was the oldest, that was his job!
Some part of him was jealous of Terasu. He was already grown and having kits of his own... and well.. Edward wasn't. An affectionate nuzzle was given to Lily... until he blinked and looked up as Terasu posed his request.
"Godfather?" He blinked again and tilted his ears back. Nobody had ever asked such a thing of him before. He thought for a moment before grinning, "Sure.. I could do that." He then laughed and rubbed the back of his head with a paw, "Although from the sounds of it, they're already as big as I am."

Giggling, Liliana inched a bit away as Terasu ruffled the blonde's hair so she would not be in the way of the swat that she knew would be forthcoming. Which it was. She purred softly into Ed's nuzzle, just as affectionately. Liliana wanted kits too... his kits. That two of her sisters had kits on the way only heightened that instinct in her. But she was in no hurry. To an extent. Sometimes Edward could drive her to the point of...
Her green eyes were now bright and happy, and her tails wagged for the honor the feathered kitsu had bestowed upon Edward. He was so silly... and she loved him for it. Guess that makes me silly too...
Snickering the crimson femme sat up and playfully nipped at the base of his ear. Soon, the n** seemed to say. "Edward... you know size doesn't matter." The petite femme teased playfully, very glad the situation had been turned around.

Terasu laughed at, of course, the first thing to come to Ed's mind. His three tails curled around him snuggly as he tried to choke back the giggling. "No, not just yet. There around your shoulders though." Just enough to tackle him and gnaw on his ears.
His ears pinned back and he turned to the hall. Maybe the family was still sleeping? He couldn't tell from here in the mainroom. Oh well. With a grin, Terasu went explaining. "But like I said, four. Two daughters and two sons. It's nice to have that balanced out at least." And he smirked, wondering how many Lily, or even Atae, would have. When the time came, of course.
"Oh, and imagine this. About most of them came with some of mom's features." That would make recognition soo much more obvious when she finally met them.

Edward grinned slyly and scooted over to Terasu to lightly jab his ribs with an elbow, waggling his brows. "Four, huh? You've been busier than I thought." At the fact thatt he kits seemed to have some of Setsumi's traits on the majority, his brows lifted in surprise. "Really? Huh... well what do ya know. Genetics can be a funny thing."
He looked back to Lilianna, "I thought maybe Lily and I would have a lot... considering her parent's track record." The Remus family seemed to be on the.. prolific side, "But I didn't expect it from you." Smirk.

The femme giggled, intentionally attempting to emote an 'all's clear' to Atae in the kitchen as she herself sat upright and as nonchalantly as she could started grooming her white and gold tails now pulled around her as the boys .... well acted like boys. Her face felt overly warm but it was a good thing. "Your mother will be pleased at that, Terasu."
She dare not comment on the 'how many kits' Edward spoke of. Whether her parents prolific tendencies had been passed down to her was yet to be seen, though her sisters' 3 & 4 batches boded well for them. One thing she could already tell she had of theirs... the drive for kitsu and the intense interest in enjoying & pleasing her mate. Liliana hid her face so that her eyes were obscured by her hair. Maybe Atae should stay in the kitchen after all. Lily was quite sure that between her and Edward however many kits would not be a matter of not trying enough.
"Would you like her to know? If I can't find her by apparating I could try to send a patronus to her. Or if I can't Daddy certainly can."

With such faint fur color, it was hard for Terasu to hide his fluster. Best to do was turn his head the other way. "Shut up! I'm sure your just as busy, in whatever terms you take that." It still killed him to know it took one night. Ont night! Ugh. He did have to wonder though, about the genetics. "It's still odd. Only one got the obvious traits..." He was so sure there'd be at least two. True, less meant reduced stress. But for one to have both traits combined? That just put the strain right back.
Mother to know? Terasu's posture tensed, glancing quietly to Lily. Of course he did, but. Was know the best time? Looking at the ground, he brushed a paw through his hair. "I hope she'll be accepting. You think she'll mind at this time?" How many days had passed since the beginning of the trip? Was it too soon, or too late? He couldn't tell from here.

Ed just grinned at Terasu's obvious fluster. He liked tormenting his brother as much as his brother liked tormenting him. He then just shrugged at the talk of genetics, "Just the luck of the draw I guess."
He was then thoughtful when they spoke of Setsumi. "Well.. she has to know sooner or later. Probably better sooner than later... but its your decision." He shrugged.. wondering what Setsumi would think of all of this.

Liliana blushed and ducked her head further into her tails as she cleaned them. Not as busy as perhaps they might like... but enough to really really be looking forward to...
She really needed to kick this circular train of thought.
"Well..." she started slowly, breathing as evenly as she could to keep herself calm and not give everything away. "I know Daddy would like to know right away. And he did, even with..." Well that was family business was it not? Between her sister and the father of her kits really. Just because they were involved indirectly was no reason for Lily to go blabbing about it in detail. "With the complication of my sister's pregnancy. I'm sure your mother would at least like to know. If I can find her... I can maybe bring her back."
Although she did not look too certain about the likelihood of such an attempt. Her heart & intentions were in the right place.

Atae finally wandered back in from the kitchen, having taken a few minutes to calm her own emotions and waiting for the lessening tension in the other room to sort of... salve her mental bruise. She also had a jug of tea and a bottle of juice in tow she'd found in the fridge - and NO MILK - because... she at least was thirsty, and the cups she found stacked nicely and stayed on her paw as long as she didn't lift it too high off the floor. It was one of her first instincts when she was feeling uncomfortable to just go get some refreshments if she was anywhere near some... well, it was now. Used to she would have just bolted from the room when Ed started yelling. Guess there was one good thing about having been around his temper tantrums before, then.

That was something to consider. Now, which was what he himself wanted. Or later, but who knew which would be more a burden. His train of though was disconnected for a moment. "Oh, that's right. Congrats on your sister's young ones." That family sure was big.
He turned his head back to the kitchen, darting up and padding over to help Atae. "Thanks, feeling better?" With cups in tow, he moved back to where he sat, leaving the cups out for one's own choosing. "Well, what about the Patronus you had mentioned? Is that a confident spell that's both speedy?" He just didn't feel right sending Lily out like an errand boy. Plus, exact locations were questionable.

Edward didn't really have much to say as far as these magical things went, so he let Lilianna and Terasu talk. Instead, he seemed content to sit next to his mate and think quietly. He did look up and smiled gratefully as Atae came back with cups and drinks.
"Thanks Atae and uh... sorry" he hadn't meant to upset her. He often forgot how sensitive she was about such things. Getting himself a cup, Edward poured himself some tea and continued his silent musings.

Lily gave Atae a look of thanks and apology. Gratefully she poured herself some juice. She did not feel like asking if the tea had caffeine in it or not. "It's practically instant. I've not used my own Patronus in such a way yet, as I've not really had a need. It's advanced magic. But Daddy's is certain to work. It homes in on who it is intended for, and no one else. Extremely convenient in that way."

Terasu shook his head. "It does seem like the most accurate way to locate her. If your father wouldn't mind." Finally reaching for his own cup, he decided on tea. He almost wanted to go after her himself, but that would take too long. Sure he had the nose, but not the speed for that long distance.
