ZOMG, WHY CAN'T I CHILL DOWN AT ALL?!

Why do I have a sprained wrist, 6 bruises and a Munky-bump on my head?

Probably because I went to the most INSANE ******** KoRn show I've ever had the pleasure of being at!

Here be deh scoop on the Las Vegas show last night. I bolded certain words in case reading all of my thoughts gets to be a bit much. :3

We left home about 3:00 and got there about 4:00; the best timing I've ever had going to a concert.

When we got there, we went to the "line" area. Ashley told me to look behind me. A very angry-looking Kalen was walking behind us, cussing out some guy out on his cellphone. We decided not to bug him. We approached the doors, and this security guard gave us bright, orange wristbands and told us that the line didn't start until 6:00 and we needed to GTFO.

Well, we couldn't go in the casino or loiter, so Ashley, this KoRn fan we met named Chris, and myself made our way to the other side of the Hard Rock, and just chilled for a couple hours. We decided to go to Chris' car and blast some SYOTOS, and after about 10 minutes of that we went back to standing around.

This lady came up to us and asked us about the show, and then informed us that JONATHAN DAVIS was seen walking around the casino.

We jumped up immediately and headed inside the casino, and made about 6 loops around it, looking for any signs of him. We didn't find him, but I swear I saw him (or a dead-lookalike, there were tons of those) in the Lucky's cafe.

It was nearing 6:00, so we headed back to the line area, which was now gathering up some fans. We saw ~sH3LLz~ sitting near the lines, talking to two of her friends. I came up and she told me she recognized me. I was so excited to actually meet her. She got in a conversation with one of her friends, and I got nervous and sort of slinked away to the line.

We waited for another hour, during which ~sH3LLz~ came up and took a picture with us. She was so sweet and kind! Even with her pain, she took time to talk to everyone she knew in line, often saying, "I'm not cutting, I'm not cutting!" to people who thought she was. She limped back past us, and I was like "Shelly!" and I reached out to her and frowned because I felt bad for her, and she was like, "Did you see me crying? I wasn't crying!" Apparently, she had been crying. She was really sad that she couldn't be on the floor with us, and had to go sit in the balcony area because of her condition. We talked more before they started to let us in early at 6:30.

After a pat-down, I rushed into a very smoke-filled Joint and grabbed the railing, maybe moving a few feet away from our normal ampliphier spot the past two times. It was directly in front of Fieldy's spot this time, and let me tell you I took a beating to keep that spot.

We met up with two friends, chatted for a while before Droid came on. They put on a really good show, and I enjoyed them. The lead singer really got the crowd rowdy, and I was already being slammed against the front railing.

After them, another half hour passed before Five Finger Death Punch came on. They put on a good show too, but I was totally in another world because I knew KoRn was next. I was trying to save all my strength for it because the thought of the concert had sent me home from school sick earlier that day.

There was no curtain to hide the stage crew preparing the set for KoRn. Loc worked with the crew as well, and our friend Megan shouted out to him, "TABLEDANCE!" and he looked over at us like, "WTF?". It was pretty funny. When they brought Jon's symbolic microphone out and took the blanket off it, everyone cheered. Maybe it was 30 minutes, or 40...but it seemed like 2 hours before everything grew dark and "Intro" began to ring out over the stage.

The first part of the live "Here To Stay" began immediately, starting with Joey and Kalen beating on drums, and Shane Gibson playing the first, bone-shaking riff. The crowd behind us started getting riled up. The lights grew lighter and Munky, sporting iced-dreads ran out, followed by a dreadlocked Fieldy, and then Jonathan Davis himself.

When you look at somebody you admire for so long through glass and pixels, or a piece of paper with them printed on it, it has such an impact when they're right there, just feet away from you. When their eyes are looking right at you, and not a camera. For some reason, I found myself reaching out to them, more than throwing up the horns.

"Starting Over" was beautiful, one of my favorites. Since it was one of the first songs, my memory's a bit hazy but I know, like a lot of people around me, I sang every word.

"Fake" was performed perfectly, but also it was when I realized that I had to fight for my spot up front, because people were drunk and ready to go nuts. They began fighting and shoving and kicking and punching at us. It was the only unenjoyable part of the whole concert. One guy behind me was taken by secuirty, and in my terror of having this 200 pound man pulled right over my head, nearly crushing me, some jackass shoved into my spot, pushing me closer to the side.

I began to get really emotional when the begining of "Dead Bodies Everywhere" started. It's a song I've always held very close, and it was amazing to have it played live in front of me. Like every song they played that night, "Dead Bodies Everywhere" was done perfectly.

"Hold On" was next, but unfortunately I spent most of that song fighting for my spot again. One of the moshpits moved towards the front, and I got slammed against the railing. It knocked the wind out of me, and I was claustrophobic beyond Hell. It was worse than being in a can of sardines, as the feeling is related to. It was hard to breath, and someone was punching my sides, trying to squeeze inbetween me and the jackass from earlier. I almost thought I wasn't going to be able to stay there when the chorus of the song played out, "Hold on, be strong..." I thought about my situation and using the support from the rail, I managed to shove the people behind me backwards right before the next song.

"This song is Kill You." Munky told us.

I've been known to cry at concerts, but "Kill You" really did it for me. It was so intense. Like "Dead Bodies Everywhere" it's one of those songs that I hold very, very close to me and when you see the wonderful people behind it performing it after it's gotten you through so much...

I don't think I had cried that hard in a long time. I looked up to Fieldy, who I noticed was looking in my direction. He gave a little, smileless nod, something like a gesture of understandment, and I have to consider it was to me. Long after the ending had faded and a filler track from SYOTOS began to play, I was still crying. It took me a while to recover, but as soon as I did, a beautiful intro of "Kiss" began. It was amazing.

Afterwards, Jonathan asked about all the 1994 KoRn fans in the house. After a bunch of cheering and screaming, he said, "This song is for you."

"Faget" began. The crowd was getting really wild again, and more people had to be taken over me. (The security was really retarded that night, but probably because the Hard Rock is under new management, thus the kicking of our asses off the property earlier that day.) I took a really bad beating during it, but I enjoyed every second of that song, being sure to scream out the lyrics as loud as I could when Jon cued us to.

A very long introduction to "Freak On A Leash" came after. Green lasers shot off all around us, and Jon NAILED his gibberish.

"Coming Undone" was played last before the encore.

After a bunch of screaming, a very short time ended before the chanting in the beginning of "Twisted Transistor" began. They performed it probably the best I had ever seen them do it live.

Afterwards came "Trash" and "Evolution", and then a chilling "Falling Away From Me". It was so amazing to be there with the heavy-version in the middle. We went nuts during that part. biggrin

When "Blind" began, I was mixed between so many emotions. I was happy, but sad that it was nearing the end.

"Unfortunately, this is our last song for tonight." Jonathan told us, followed by a bunch of groans. He very cutely shrugged his shoulders, like, 'Sorry!'. It was adorable. whee

"Blind" was ******** extremely intense, fueled by Jonathan's, "I want to see you get ******** crazy, Las Vegas!" Well, we did go nuts, but it resulted in me spraining my wrist and getting a horrible punch to the back of my head. It didn't slow me down none, I kept going.

Once "Blind" ended, we cheered and screamed. "Las Vegas, you were ******** great!" Jonathan commented as Fieldy made a quick exit. Jonathan waved to the right side of the crowd, before coming over to our left side. I, like I had been doing throughout the concert, had my hand outstretched to him. That was when Jon did exactly what I was doing. Our eyes connected. He smiled and then he waved, and I swear he was looking right down at me. Or so I'd love to believe. His eyes are so dark and captivating, you could get lost easily. ^^

After they dissappeared backstage, we trudged through the sticky beer-stained floor of the Joint, leaving.

The effects of the punch started to get to me. I lost track of what I was doing. I was hella dizzy. Me, and a very hurt Ashley tried to seek KoRn out at the buses, but it turned out we needed a green pass to be there and we were kicked out. It was a little upsetting, especially now when I found out Jonathan had made an appearence there not long after.

We barely made it to Lucky's. I realized there was bump on my head, and Ashley's entire stomach was brusied. Megan's bottom lip had been kicked by a guy security grabbed, and all of our hair had been pulled, and some of it pulled out. It was the most insane crowd I had ever been in. I had never gotten so ******** up at a show ever. We were beaten very badly, but it was well worth it. We were happy and exhausted and ready to go home.

We didn't meet anyone this time, but I was fine with it. The show had been amazing- the best show I've been to yet, and though it's sad for me to mark off our concert date on the list, I had a great time and that's all that matters. :]

I'll try to get pictures up later if I can, and maybe add to this if I forgot anything. Thanks for reading. biggrin

Logistically it would be pretty hard for them to pull off an international tour every year, it's hard enough for them touring around in their own country. I understand why they only come down to where we live once every 2 years... it's sucks but it's reality crying .
